Entspannte Zeit au Siquijor

Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb von San Juan direkt am Meer. Unser Bungalow war liebevoll dekoriert und eingerichtet ebenso das außen liegende Badezimmer. Es gibt einen Zugang ins Meer, der etwas Kletterei erfordert. Die Unterkunft, die in einen schön gepflegten Garten eingebettet ist, bietet Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen an. Es gibt aber auch sehr nette Restaurants in San Juan. Auf Nachfrage gab es frische Handtücher. Man kann in der Unterkunft einen Scooter mieten, was wir sehr empfehlen.

Es war alles in Ordnung.

I can only give it a 3-star rating and would not recommend it to a friend

This location had all the potential to be perfect, but unfortunately, I can only give it a 3-star rating and would not recommend it to a friend. The establishment is beautifully decorated with lovely simplicity, and it offers fantastic views of the sea where you can swim with turtles and stargaze. However, the issue here lies with the management and the level of care put into running the business. Throughout my stay, I felt that the owner did not enjoy working in the space and that guests were not welcome. Perhaps the owner was going through a difficult time in their life, but their lack of energy and care towards guests created a rude and uncomfortable atmosphere. For me, how people are treated during their stay is more important than how beautiful the space is, and in this regard, they failed miserably.

Ich hatte ein Privatzimmer gebucht und würde dass so nicht nochmal machen, einfach weil der Preis den Ich gezahlt hatte

Das Hostel hat eine sehr schöne und ruhige Lage, Nachmittags kann man an den Klippen Meeresschildkröten beobachten. Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich.

Wenn man morgens duschen wollte kam so gut wie kein Wasser, genauso wenig bei der Toiletten Spülung oder dem Waschbecken. Das Wlan hat eher mäßig funktioniert, wenn man seine Weiterreise planen wollte dann ging das erst gegen 21 Uhr ohne Probleme und selbst dann hat es etwas gedauert bis das Internet geladen hatte.

Much appreciated break from the busy life

The cliff was beautiful. I got amazing views and created awesome content there. You should definitely chill there if you want a peaceful break from the noise

I stayed in the dorm room and it had a stench. Maybe that’s because it’s a wooden cabin, idk. There were cobwebs around the ceiling and near the top bunks. The food provided by the restaurant is also expensive. So maybe find another cheap local place to eat at.

A good place to chill and rest

Great little place for rest and relaxation. There are two private cabins and a small dormitory. There is also a restaurant on site - delicious food. As well a great look out point over the ocean amazing stars at night.

Room did not have AC it was doable but still found it a bit hot. No ocean view from the cabin.

Most wonderful hotel of all places we stayed at while visiting the philippines

We booked their dorm first, but transferred a few days later into the private room when it got available...both roomtypes were spotless clean & absolutely cute established, we felt super comfy. Best outdoor bathroom!! Amazing snorkeling in the morning & sunsets were stunning every time. We also rented a scooter with them, which was not brandnew but well maintained & much cheaper than the one they tried to rent us at the harbor. The staff was very kind and made us yummy breakfast every morning. We would definitely recommended to stay with them!

Beautiful, clean & well located place in Siquijor

The cottage is beautiful, with a wonderful view over the ocean and volcanic cliffs. The food at the little restaurant was delicious. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. We had no power for a full day/night because of an outage in the whole area and the staff offered us free smoothies to make up for it the next day.

The motorbikes the place offered for rent where a bit old and not working perfectly (also, they rented us the motorbike without any gaz in it). It would be nice to at least have hand soap in the bathroom. Also, the bath towels were very old and not good quality.

Very good

The place is really pretty. the view from the cliff is everything. The dorm is big and spacious. Multiple hangout-spots around the place which is nice.

The staff was a little ‘sloppy’. No soap in the bathrooms for washing your hands. They were really slow in the restaurant and were always hiding in the kitchen so it was hard to find them when you needed something.

Love the room, the view, and the vibe. I enjoyed swimming off the cliff too. Beautiful marine life.

There were some power outages but that's province life.

Solo Traveler

This is my 2nd stay in Cliff Garden and the staffs are very accommodating, it is in good location and has a good view of the sea and sunset.

Wifi last the December was good but last April, the internet was bad, I cannot connect, thus, I'm unable to work. Hopefully it will be fixed as I'm planning to go back to Siquijor this coming May.

Just wow

So good food with chicken, also snack & vegetarian. Meet nice friends in shared room, also clean toilet & many fish when swimming.

Lovely and quiet rooms. Cozy bed. Instagrammable bathroom. Awesome sunsets at the cliff.

No place for hanging the towels. The shower is like a hose. Not comfortable to shower. The stony floor in bathroom hurts when you're barefoot. Many blackouts. Internet is bad.

Staff were so lovely and very friendly, made the stay wonderful ! Showers were stunning. Food was great.

Cozy, quiet, Instagrammable place. Lovely staff. Amazing sunset view. Food in restaurant is very good!

Shower is just a simple water jet. Stony floor in bathroom hurts a lot barefoot. It's not possible to hang towels.

Good!

Very nice location on the cliff, there is a reef just in front of the hostel and also Tubod Beach is not far away. Awesome snorkeling there! The staff is very friendly.

It is not a place to meet people easily, as there is no common chill-area, which would fit this hostel perfectly, I think. So you mostly meet the people from your own dorm room. The restaurant has good food, but it is quite pricey for Siquijor-standards.

Beautiful, very well kept and run quaint little hostel and cottages. The garden and installations are lovely. The dorm room has all the necessities and the beds are decent. The sunsets are nice to see from the cliff. A pity it's still under construction, we couldn't swim there.

It's not great for a place which caters to backpackers who are mostly on a budget and enjoy a homely welcoming atmosphere (you have to pay for water, for towels, you're not allowed to bring your own food or use the cutlery). The staff are absolutely lovely yet there is a lack of human presence to the place. Feels too quiet almost. Far from town.

The property was very helpful in terms of laundry, hiring a bike to get around, stayed open later for our arrival. fans by the bed. food in the restaurant was nice.

really out of the way if you're not going to hire a bike but if you have a bike it's absolutely fine. I got tens and tens of bites here and the rooms were very dark. there was a fee for everything such as towels, water. toads, hermit crabs! really in nature!

The location is good. Good room and bathroom decorations.

The staff was defensive when you asked them for anything. They didn't change the towels. They charge for water where most hotels in the area do not. The food is bland. The room only has fan, no ac.

Jelou and Irene were absolutely lovely and they really help make the experience. Very clean. Beautiful foliage. Amazing views. Lovely outdoor shower. Very quiet.

. I will say if your going there for the ocean the cliff is under construction and you can't swim. There's no guaranteed access to the water which I wish had have been included in description. Also it is out of the way so if your looking to disconnect perfect. But best if you drive a bike or scooter without it makes it hard for moving around. No air conditioning.

Real gem on Siquijor

One of the most beautiful accommodations in the Philippines; located on a cliff where you have a beautiful view and can enjoy swimming turtles and the sunset. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The outdoor shower in the bungalow is a real gem. In short; an absolute must-visit!

A little bit far from the 'busyness', but doable with a motorbike.

beautiful, peaceful, tranquil, clean and perfect location

It was absolutely beautiful and the location was brilliant. Only a 10 min moped journey away from the main town and restaurants. The room has a fan and no air con so it was very warm but my boyfriend and I only payed £8 each for a double room so it’s very cheap. The have a little restaurant which overlooks the sea and they do the best breakfast, lunch and dinner. just down from the restart there is an area with a hammock and a table on the cliff edge. my boyfriend and I lay in the hammock and watched the sun set it was just magical.

nothing at all, the room was hot but it didn’t bother us to much.

Best sunset on the island

Very nice and clean place. The best part is the view on the cliffs, especially for sunset! The owner is very nice and the room gets cleaned all day.

There are no restaurants around. you need a scooter to have a look around.
