It was quaint and quiet. Nice historical home that has potential to be really special. Rooms are not priced according.

Like staying at your grandma’s house in an upstairs room and she is not home.

Lightning in the room was harsh and no window covering in the bathroom facing the front of the house. Claw foot tub was difficult for a stand up showers due to the lateral pitch to the floor of the tub.

Great stay in Grass Valley.

Excellent stay and good value. We would be happy to stay there again and recommend to others! Really loved how the classic character of the house was maintained but the good-sized room (Gold Center) still had some modern touches, was well lit, and was very clean. Great bed, too! It's more like the bed portion of a bed and breakfast in that it was a room in a house and there's no lobby. The location was great and in a quiet neighborhood. Parking in their lot was easy.

The following are things that might bother other people, but didn't bother us. Not a traditional motel or hotel, and a little bit more like an airbnb in that there's no lobby or any onsite staff we saw. Instructions for access were very clear but sent via text. Also, the front door was up some steps and the rooms were up one flight of fairly steep steps. The bathroom was small with a claw foot bathtub and shower.

Lovely room , Victorian style accommodation.

Very quaint, well maintained property. Room was spacious. Easy check in and departure. Comfy bed!

The tub needs to be refinished on the floor of the tub. Cute tub otherwise.

This property was quaint and served my purpose. Heating was OK in spite of the problems.

The room was very cozy. Amenities were adaquate.

Bathroom sink alcove very small. Toilet paper kept falling off the holder. No big deal, but annoying...

Comfortable and spacious, felt like home.

I loved the old time feel of it and it was modern at the same time. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette had the essentials. It had the feel of being at home. Definitely would stay again.

Peaceful and quiet.

This is an absolutely beautiful Inn. The rustic antique decor is candy for the eye everywhere on the property. Exploring the house was fun. Stairs that go nowhere. Antiques and tasteful artwork adorned every nook and cranny inside and outside. I wandered around the property every morning and would always find something different. An absolute delight. I highly recommend.

Very good

Beautiful grounds, very clean. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Didn’t realize our room was upstairs. I have a bad hip and climbing those steep stairs was not good. Also could not use shower with the high claw foot tub. Next time we will ask for ground floor if you have some available.

We were not aware there was breakfast. It must have been written somewhere but we would have appreciated being reminded of it with the check in note we received. That aside, the room was clean, well lit and inviting, the mattress was comfortable, and the location was idea--quiet but within a 7-10 minute walk of the central area of Grass Valley. We'd gladly stay here again.

Loved up to its name as we slept well and found a thoughtfully gracious space to rest and relax during a visit to Grass

Beautiful quiet Victorian home surrounded by garden and grass with quaint fence decorated with gold rush era homage. Room was spacious, with thoughtful amenities and a well-appointed bathroom featuring a claw-foot tub/ shower combo.

One chair at the 2 chair/table combo needed tightening of screws - it tipped precariously when I sat in it! Would be nicer to have a couple upholstered chairs to curl up and read in, than hard wood and metal chairs at the table. But honestly, that is a small complaint compare with how much we LOVED every thing else!

Unique European style Grass Valley accommodation. Refreshing change from the usual.

Loved the bed. Pleasantly outfitted room. All necessary dishwater. Responsive evening onsite staff.

Retro fitted bathtub shower with no safety features. Minimal lighting in room. Narrow and steep stairs to access room.

Lovely historic inn at convenient location.

Very clean. Seemed to be recently upgraded or refreshed paint , fixtures and bathroom. Bonus is the mini kitchen with full size fridge, beautiful copper sink, microwave, coffee/tea maker, and the glassware cutlery etc to have light meal there. I did not use TV or interenet when there hence did not rate. The "smart door locks" work well, follow the clear and simple instructions completely. As such I did not have face to face interactiln with staff so hard to rate. The text info was pleasantly and efficiently presented, it worked well. Plenty onsite and street parking. Great location.

My only suggestion is that the "redo" should have included an oiling or other similar treatment to make the wonderful woodwork of the doors and trim etc to "pop" alongside the fresh paint etc. A very picky comment.

It was clear, comfortable, felt safe and great location.

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was super comfortable!!! Kitchen area was so nice to have and cutely decorated. I never stayed in a “ Bed and Breakfast “ place. There was no breakfast but having a room inside a house at first I thought there would be no privacy, but I only heard someone if they were talking in the hallway. The bathroom was private, clean and cute. It was quiet location but walking distance from Safeway and downtown GV.

The only thing was I couldn’t get the shower to turn on overhead. I had to hand hold shower head. That could have just been me.

This was a very comfortable home away from home.

This place feels like home. Very quiet and very comfortable.

The only thing that was a bit difficult was parking. The lot is very small, however there is plenty of street parking so it was not an issue at all.

The room was comfortable and quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. We appreciated the fridge that is a decent size for people traveling.

The perfumed soaps trigger my allergies. I would prefer a more subtle perfume, or none at all.
