The Hotel and room were everything we could hope for and more. Special thanks to Fiona for the great recommendations of activities.
It was 30% longer to travel between towns than anticipated.

Every detail was beautiful. The food was great. And there was such a fun friendly vibe.

Location excellent
A little awkward for my older aunt- bed was high, hooks for towels too high for her.

clean
not as advertised. no coffee/tea maker. no mini bar. NO A/C CONTROLS (have to contact front desk). Front desk doesn’t answer the phone - you can only leave a voicemail. no safe. No sound proofing - can hear other guests in their rooms.

The Holbrooke is a very comfortable hotel. The restaurant has excellent food. Every member of staff (reception, wait staff, bartender, housekeeping) were incredibly kind and helpful. The room was quite, the bed very comfortable and the room was very pleasant with good wi-fi. We were there for 5 days and enjoyed every one of them. I managed to break my leg (not at the hotel) mid-way through our stay and the staff could not have been more accommodating and kind. Having been laid up in the room for 2 solid days I can attest to the comfort of the place. I will certainly stay there again.

Victorian carriage house was beautiful
rocker chairs on porch of carriage house
requires $100 deposit to try to get you to spend $$$ in their restaurant
unresponsive, inattentive and insufficient staff
cold room with no in-suite climate control, have to ask unresponsive staff to adjust for me

Beautiful hotel and furnishings. Location right downtown is convenient.
Room was not what I booked (king). Was very small and no table or space to work. (Business travel) And soooo noisy. Could hear everyone inside and outside the hotel.

The hotel is very nice. Nicely appointed, and beautifully decorated in a manner befitting it's history. All the important comforts are there and are, well, comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of a fun shopping/eating area. All in all a very nice stay.
I could add no TV, and that's a positive or a negative depending on your interests. Aside from that, just a few details... The bathroom window was not frosted so the only way to get privacy from the room across the way is to close the blind, which is dark and dreary. The curtains in the main room are very tall and hard to close; you have to yank on them pretty roughly to get them to move and I expect they may not last a long time as a result. There is nowhere, aside from a wall hook or two, to hang a suit or dress if you wish to. Minor nits, yes, but things that irked us nonetheless. Otherwise, all good.

Very Beautiful hotel, loved the atmosphere. Very nice accommodating staff, especially Ashley. Jacob was very friendly as well. Great restaurant in lobby, good food and room was very nice, kept the historic feel and also the hotel was active with paranormal.. but friendly 😉😁
Coffee in room was very strong. Could use complimentary water in room. That would be nice. Ashley did give us a large glass bottle of water to bring to our room.
Air conditioner in room was a bit difficult to keep at a happy medium. Either very cold or too warm. Bed was a bit stiff for me, my spouse loved it though. 😁

Room was cute and very clean.
We stayed in the carriage house and it was so loud. You could hear the parking lot and all your neighbors in the middle of the night. If I stayed there again I would try the main house.

Beautiful hotel. However, the walls were rather thin and the bathroom/sink was a bit awkward

The Holbrooke was gorgeous in every way. Staff was top notch. Grounds were beautiful. Rooms were gorgeous and extremely comfortable and nostalgic.
First room #3, smelled of urine we were moved immediately and upgraded. We were in the Purcell House #31 after that and the second night a group of 10+ were also there and were LOUD, and rude until 430am. They would not settle down or be quiet to the point of having to confront them. They still did not respect others. Needless to say the sign on the door to keep your voices low because its a historic home with thin walls did nothing for them. Ruined our plans for the next day because we got ZERO sleep. The water turned on in the next room caused the water in our room to disappear, during a shower. We saw a work van immediately at the building there to do a repair so this was excellent.

Beautiful restored historical building. Downstairs was awesome.
That we weren't there on a Thursday night when the downstairs bar is open. Also we didn't know we were being given a handicapped room. We didn't need it and feel like we should have been informed. Hard to keep the bathmat dry!
