Hotel is rundown staff are terrible

We were given a poor quality room because we booked through a third party site. The staff was super nice but the room had issues, wasnt clean, had broken fixtures. The staff mentioned twice since we booked through 3rd party they couldnt do much.

It was downtown and convenient for catching the train in the morning
5.0 / 10.0
The hotel is very closed to the train station, the area is clean and safe, the room itself was spacious and has a balcony, the bed was comfortable and clean, the only issue was that even though our room was on the 12 floor you could here lots of not only traffic noise but people walking on the street down below. I believe the hotel should look into investing in impact sliding glass doors and this problem will go away. We did know about this issue but I didn’t believe it was as bad as it is. Other then that I think it’s a good place for a short stay.

It was not horrible but not good it stunk like an old cigarette smell. The cloth chairs in our rooms had crumbs all over them when we walked in. Parts of the ceiling were pulling off. It was soooooo loud in our room
3.0 / 10.0
It a great location but the hotel needs upgrades. They didn’t have a refrigerator in the rooms. No fitness center.

This hotel is closing for good on the 19th of September. Not a day to soon. Everything is old and rundown. Had to beg the front desk to check us in before 3:30pm. Finally was allowed to check in at 2:30pm after sitting in the lobby for 2.5 hours. Nothing to eat in the hotel. Nice place to eat across the street at Glacier Brewery! This hotel is terrible!

Overall an average property. Convenience of dinning was good. Central to the places we wanted to visit. Very noisy at night

If you stay on the top floor the room are nicer than any other floor but still a far cry from nice for the price. Over dressed motel 8

Proprty in need of updating. A lot of noise from parking lot at late hours. would help to have security. On a good note, staff extremely helpful and friendly..

Good location. Large room with comfy bed. No restaurant at hotel but several within walking distance. 10 minute walk to train all flat or downhill. Expensive for what you get but that’s Anchorage. Note that taxis and Ubers are easy to come by if you’d like to stay further out from the city.

Staff was friendly. Be advised there is a $40/night parking fee. The hotel appeared to be going through renovations and was quite busy with people trying to get to their cruise and with only 1 working elevator. Overall, the room was large and clean with a nice balcony, so it did the trick.

Great but for the over zealous security

The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean but dated.
Floral wallpaper and 6 inch ceramic tan tiles in the bathroom.
There was street noise during the night.
Hotel is within walking distance to Egan Center and across the street from Glacier Brewhouse

Nice clean comfortable rooms and lobby

The room was ok but quite dated. The extr $40 for overnight parking was a little more than I expected as well. I will say the location is very good and the brewery across the street has the best freshest food in Anchorage!

The room was fine but the restaurant was horrid. All that was available was the $25 buffet and it was old and not good. Walk 2 blocks to the the Captain Cook oCity Cafevv

Old facility, but not the worst

Front desk staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly. Every question I asked was met with a no , period no discussion. Front desk rushed through everything clearly wanting to get you the hell away from them. We had 3 different empires at the front desk and ZERO were friendly. The housekeepers and bell man were friendly. We had 1 tiny bar of soap for two days and two people, we have enough for for 1 day . There were signs saying for safety use the bath mat , yet there wasn’t one provided. The room had used dental floss in the garbage cans that was not ours, also soda caps on the floors that weren’t ours. The sink was not sealed so water kept leaking out into the counter. There were zero amenities we could find and nothing was told to us at check in. I wanted a water so I went to the vending machine on our floor, water was sold out . I went to all floors with a vending machine al water sold out or the cc machine was not working . I would not stay here again, pay the extra $50 and stay elsewhere.

Wouldn't recommend! We travel a lot & honestly I've never ever come across such terrible rude staff. Didn't even say hello, arrived at 12 noon & said checkin is 4pm, didn't even look up room type to check etc. I know they had free rooms night before because I checked for last min bookings at 11pm, she just didn't want to budge. No arguments from us we knew what we were dealing with right from not getting an hi- so I asked what to do in area until then? answer was go to information centre & ask lol. Then I asked well where is that? Honestly the attitude was so horrid, it was laughable & we thought are we being pranked or something. The carpet smelt really bad & needs shampooing. I had bites lower legs to i honestly think it had fleas in carpet. Wall paper patches in bathroom to cover punch holes & notice on wall saying if we need to dispose needles ask reception. Really noisy with domestic dusputes at 1am, trains all night.
Only good thing was bed was comfortable.

This is a very run-down hotel. It's very expensive but there's absolutely no service whatsoever. One of the elevators was broken so waiting for the lift took forever. The room was large but not very clean. Breakfast was expensive and very limited. It's extremely noisy outside

Very old property. Needs tons of upgrades.

This was a typical tour-type hotel, with no special attraction. Well-located, but no bar/restaurant (an attached restaurant charged $48 for a typical breakfast buffet).

Nice location. Older hotel in need of some upgrading. Bathrooms are out of the 60's. Beds are very comfortable.

I would return to this facility with better understanding of what to expect

Was there only for the night. Property was in good proximity to bus pickup location. Not much around that was open at the time. Room was very large! Furniture was a little worn but did work properly. Young lady working the desk was extremely helpful as the airline had not put my checked bag on the flight. She also answered many questions from other guests with the same enthusiasm she showed me.

This hotel is older and it shows. The doorknob was about to fall off and because of its location downtown, it is very loud outside the window. I also feel that potential visitors should be made aware that it is $40.00 per night to park on site.

Floors in room were dirty and the hallways were also not clean. The noise outside with vehicles & very loud motorcycles was extremely bad. This not your problem but this location is very bad.

The room itself was surprisingly very large and we had two balconies! The front desk staff could be a little more friendly and welcoming. Also, unfortunately it seems like this hotel will not accommodate for early or late check in / out. When we arrived 2 hours early and checked to see if any rooms were available we were essentially “greeted” with confusion and a look of why are you even here trying. When we checked to see if late check out was available we were very quickly and bluntly told no. I understand these hotels are busy but most others are at least friendly when stating that those options are not available. This hotel was extremely walkable with several dining options and bar options in walking distance!

It was a nice place of rest, I did not like the parking fee 40.00.
