Adventurers and photographers alike will enjoy the close proximity to Chugach State Park, the Eagle River Nature Center, and glacially fed Eagle River. After a day of adventuring, guests can finish off their day with a log fire, glass of wine, and favorite television show (DVD player and cable provided).

We pulled up here and all 4 of us said "wow." The view of mountains are incredible.
The log cabin id an amazing place to stay in and well stocked with everything you need. We stayed here as 2 couples and had plenty of room. The pcabin is very spacious with lots of sitting room.
We loved sitting outside in Aditondock chairs in the evening looking at the mountains; what an incredible view.
With our binoculars we even could see a mountain goat.
We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this is one of our favorites!

We had a lovely time here at the very cozy cabin with its incredible view, comfortable bed, close to town and hiking trails! History and the decor of this cabin gave it a lot of charm and we thoroughly enjoyed our nights here. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us and going above and beyond for us!

Beautiful spot to enjoy the scenery.

Wish we stayed longer and would definitely be back!

Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations! The only problem we had was the tumbler on the dryer didn’t work. We contacted Whitney and she responded right away and took care of it ASAP! The house is a fun, clean cabin with some rustic decor. But it has modern and nice fixtures where you want like the bathroom and kitchen. It’s a great mix of rustic and luxury! The views of the mountains are spectacular. The location is amazing, 10 minutes from both wilderness hiking trails and also Walmart. It was a great base of operations for our family to have a wonderful Alaskan vacation! Thank you Whitney and family!

I already did.

The home is a well-maintained, beautiful log cabin with comfortable furnishings and well-stocked for an easy stay. The views of the mountains cannot be beat! The host was super communicative and friendly, even providing a steamer for our use as we were attending a wedding in Eagle River. Had the pleasure of meeting Whitney on our last day and she shared that her great aunt built the cabin!

When picturing a place to call home for a few days near Anchorage, Alaska, this property hits the mark! From the log cabin design to the wilderness decor to the incredible views, you won’t be disappointed. And the location is remote enough to feel nestled up in the mountains but close enough to the conveniences of town. You found your Alaskan home!

We were here for a medical appointment. Was great place to relax after and make a home base.

This was absolutely the best cabin my wife and I stayed at during our honeymoon in Alaska. It was very cozy and welcoming, and we enjoyed the ability to watch a movie in the incredible living room before bed. The property felt very private and made us feel like we had our own little piece of Alaska for a night. Wish we stayed longer.

Loved, loved, loved the cabin. Beautiful view and was equipped for all of our needs. The location is quiet and provides easy access to the Chugach State Park's interpretive center. Close to Eagle River and Anchorage which came in handy for attending UAA graduation ceremonies. The moose sighting was a bonus!

The cabin is good with beautiful Mountain View. One thing we both felt not so comfortable was once we checked in, the owner asked if we could leave early due to the next guest ask for last minute early check in. I felt kinda intrusive after all years of regular traveling. If next guest ask for early check in, as a owner should come clean early rather than ask guests to leave early…

Perfect cabin to stay in for our honeymoon! Nestled into the mountain but not far off the main highway. Great cabin feel with moden amenities. Host were very friendly and great with communication.

The cabin is amazing with great views in every direction. Located just 5 miles from the Chugach State Park and 5 miles from a grocery store. The cabin's family room is huge and perfect for kids and adults. This property worked perfectly for us and was close to nearby hiking trails. Love it.

We stayed two nights on our visit to Alaska. Nice quiet place beautiful view. Plenty of room. But There wasn’t any washcloths to take a shower And there was a huge pile of hair in the shower. Also there wasn’t any drinking glasses. Other than that I had a great time and enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
