Everything was good expect some of the staff was snotty and rude.

Mission Point Resort is beautiful! We loved the Adirondack chairs on the lawn with the lake view.
4.5
Nice place. Not directly in the downtown but is a very nice resort.
4.5
Rooms were marginal at best. Had to complain to change room. No proper sitting facilities in the room. Staff helpful.
4.5
We were put in a room far from the lobby, in a semi-remodeled, older building. The room was quite small. It was a longer walk to downtown and the shuttle came once an hour so you need to time it right. The freestanding AC unit had a hose through the wall and was quite loud. We could hear the neighbors conversations, the walls are thin. We paid for a harbor view, there was none. The worst part is that our luggage was sent to the wrong port!! We waiting in st Ignace for over two hours before they told us it was sent to mackinaw city, then we had to drive there to get it. The ferry company said this hotel is notorious for this mishap.

Staff was wonderful we were traveling with our golden retriever it was very pet friendly. Even able to get a pet sitter on property.
4.5
We had trouble with the toilet flushing, the tub backed up, TV didn’t work all channels were fuzzy and the air conditioner was extremely loud.
4.5
Rooms are very very small. We had alot of noise the first night but they accomodated us and moved us to a much quieter room, which saved our stay. However, the new room was even smaller than the first, which was very small, and there wasn't even a chair for both of us to sit in at one time. For over $400 a night we expected a bit more room to move around in the room.

First, I will say it was very clean and the grounds were beyond gorgeous. The bed was comfortable (which is important to me). The room left some to be desired as it was very basic. No chest of drawers to put clothes in, not enough outlets. One outlet couldn't take a phone charger because it was so close to the built in headboard there wasn't room which indicates a lack of attention to detail. The walls were thin, but it was mostly families so no late night parties. We definitely knew what was going on with our neighbors during the day though. The food at the main restaurant was mediocre at best. It's pretty obvious where they spend their money and where they don't. Considering this is a resort and the price, I wasn't super impressed.

This hotel is a bit of a walk from ferry service. The provided shuttle is not free. Large property with a beautiful setting although very hilly. Dogs are allowed in the Straits Lodge and although most were well behaved, there were several that barked whenever you walked by.
Food and service in the restaurant was very good.

Very nice and clean.

Enjoyed the family rooms

Beautiful grounds and so much to do on the property yet still only a mile walk to downtown through the beautiful streets of the Island. Very comfortable and the portable air conditioning unit was great since it was extremely hot for the Island during our stay. Food and beverages were great at all the restaurants and some great coffee shops.

Awesome resort

I've been coming to this resort for over 30 years! Never disappoints! Great for a couple or an entire family… they can handle it all!
4.5
Lovely property, great friendly staff, grounds are gorgeous. While fairly quiet we were “miles” away from the main resort building.
4.5
Beautiful island, and lovely property. Easy walking to downtown and the water.
4.5
Stayed at Mission Point a few times.
We love it because it’s outside the main shopping area and quiet, yet definitely close enough to walk!
4.5
Enjoyable visit to Mackinac Island. Mission Inn provided us with nice amenities and was a great location for exploring the island. Dining at the Bistro on the Greens, and the Roundhouse was a good value, and the food was delicious, especially Bistro on the Greens. We also had a gourmet dinner at Chianti, and the gentleman playing the piano was a lovely plus.
4.5
Wonderful staff.

Should give shuttle service free with stay. And the slope is so steep that it’s hard to climb with someone in wheelchair or push it up. So should consider handicap accessibility. And coffee snack restaurant should be almost full time. Also Swimming pool should have heated water cause Children love to play in warm water and don’t want to fall sick with cold water. Rest all staff were so helpful and polite. Loved their hospitality.

I stayed at this property almost 10 years ago and it was pretty decent. Unfortunately, unfortunately, is not been kept up to Standard. It should have been and shows its age and neglect.
Dining on the property was great and had beautiful views, but the unit we stayed in which I believe was the straits building was in very rough shape.

Our view from our room was outstanding. The grounds were beautiful. Service was great.
4.5
Old hotel but lots to do. Expensive drinks but no complaints otherwise. Our 2nd stay here.
4.5
Very kid friendly with decent food options. The main concern was the cleanliness of the room upon arrival
4.5
It’s an amazing place on an amazing island! We will go back.
4.5
Our stay was great, while we went exploring the island for most of our stay, when we were ready for bed it was quiet and comfortable
4.5
The property itself is fine-the rooms feel really outdated for the price. We were there for the fourth and really surprised that they didn’t do anything on the property the celebrate (lawn games, bbq, etc). Food was also okay but nothing that stood out. You’re really paying to be on the island and that’s it. Personally I will pay a couple hundred more a night to stay at the grand next time or save a bit and stay at one of the smaller hotels in town.
4.5
Perfect place away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area.
4.5
The hotel was lovely. The luggage transport was a huge plus.
4.5
This resort has a great location (a 10-minute walk from the Star Line ferry), vast and versatile facilities, and allows their guests to stay there with dogs. Dog owners, look no further. Plenty of dining options on the premises. Dogs are welcome to join your meal on a covered and heated patio adjacent to the main restaurant. Breathtaking views, close to everything. Very helpful, caring, and polite staff. The main building is simply gorgeous. But if you travel with a dog, you may end up staying in the Straights Lodge, a bit aged but still nice and clean building.
4.5
Not worth the price.

The room was fine - not spectacular but good.
The service though was wonderful. We arrived at 11 am and we’re not expecting to get our room. However we were so excited when the room was ready as we had a wedding at 1 pm and otherwise were going to get ready in my sister’s room.
When we got to the room it appeared it was either occupied or not yet cleaned. (I should have also shared we arrived in a rainstorm and were soaking wet).
Housekeeping was just down the hall and a wonderful woman named Libby offered to help us. She called the front desk who were alarmed as they said “oh no - they have a 1 pm wedding!”
They put us in a newly cleaned room just down the hall and asked us to exchange the keys on the way to the wedding. Staff made what could have been a bad experience absolutely wonderful.

I liked the nice and quiet at night

Wonderful staff, attentive and kind. Roshane at the Round Island Kitchen was phenomenal and remembered each of my kids names every time we saw him. Even when he wasn't our waiter, he checked on us and made sure we were taken care of. The cleaning staff was also extremely friendly and greeted us by name every time they saw us. This is a great place to stay on Mackinac, especially if you have kids. We also got tickets for my parents to see "The McCartney Years", and they loved it.
4.5
The room was clean and dog friendly. Service was excellent. Mattresses and pillows were a little too firm for me.
4.5
Overall really happy with this resort. The rooms are clean and adorable! We had a nice view of the lake. The extra fees and resort charges were a surprise on the bill making it more expensive than I anticipated. They charge a resort fee and still charge you extra for the mini golf etc…
4.5
Our room was spacious and clean, but it was like a dormitory. We were half a mile from the lobby, so we were not close to any amenities. We didn’t have the hotel experience.
4.5
Loved that they accepted dogs on the property. Definitely will come back.
4.5
No microwave in the room and no way to warm food. Room smelled old
