I went there to have a night away and a fireplace. Room was clean furniture was clean and nice but dated. Staff very friendly.

The front desk lady was extremely nice and accommodating, however the facilities are run down and not clean. There were no pots or pans to cook in, even though there was a full kitchen. There were 2 bowls, 2 small plates, 1 large plate and 1 coffee cup for a room that could sleep 6. The carpets were gross with stains all over, the couch had a large stain and smelled like urine. The bathroom floor felt like it would cave in at any moment and the refrigerator handle was missing. This is definitely not a place I would choose to stay in again.

Tired hotel. Front desk staff was poorly trained and I'm pretty sure charged me twice for the hotel. Clean-ish room but very dated. Common areas smelled. 1/10- do not recommend.

Rooms very clean and the bed comfy. Quiet. Didnt use any of the extras like the pool, workout room, or play yard, so cant comment on that aspect.

There needs to be a law for hotels that knowingly have rooms that have a stench of smoke. They had me sign a paper stating that if I smoke there will be a large fine and when I entered the room, it stunk of old cigarette smoke. I went back down and had them write it was already full of smoke order. I would have never booked this hotel knowing that the majority of their rooms stink of a very strong order of smoke. Also, nothing to cook with, one glass no silverware....this was advertised as a suite. They showed me other rooms, but they all stunk. My throat is still soar after spending two nights there, I opened the two windows thinking it would help and it didn't. It obviously gets into the walls, curtains, flooring etc. Shame on you Sonesta to try and blame cigerette smoke on new customers entering the property who don't even smoke. And, they knowingly make you sign a paper that you'll pay a fine if it smells of smoke. Truly disgusting!

The property is old and can use some redecoration and more invigorated scrubbing to get rid of the stains and smell. On the positive side, the room is very spacious, and the common area may be fun for families.

BIG ROOMS, NOT VERY CLEAN THOUGH. CONSTANTLY SMELT CIGARETTE SMOKE IN HALLWAY. NO MAID SERVICE UNLESS YOU ARE THERE OVER FIVE NIGHTS. IF YOU WANT CLEAN TOWELS OR BEDDING YOU HAVE TO TAKE THEM TO OFFICE AND TRAFE THEM IN. THEY GIVE YOU ONE SMALL BAR OF SOAP FOR BOTH WASHING YOUR HANDS AND SHOWERING

We thought this would be a great hotel to stay at We were wrong. Everyone that worked there was just rude and completly unprofessional. If you even ask a simple question They all talk to you like youre simply stupid and give smart mouth responses. There were pieces of food and other garbage all over the floor. Looked like crubs still all in the bed. Do yourself a favor and and just book somewhere else.

I tried to check in at 9:00pm but had to wait because the room was not ready. The clerk told me that her General Manager was still cleaning it because they were really busy and short on housekeepers. When I got to the room the kitchen and bathrooms were disgusting- dirty towels everywhere and the tubs and sink were dirty. I called the front desk and told her that it was not cleaned and she said that she was the only one working and that we could come down to the lobby for towels and get a bag to put the dirty towels in for them.

When I got into the room there was no toilet paper. I went back to the front desk and had to wait for 20 minutes to get 1 roll of 1 ply toilet paper. One staff person and a line of people and she really did not care. The room was not clean.

Horrible check-in. The absolute rudest and passive aggressive clerk I have ever met. I spoke to the manager about her and he gave me a free night because she was so awful. She gave me a 2nd floor with no elevator knowing full well my spousr was handicapped. When I asked for a first floor, she told me to take the room or too bad. One of the other clerks found me a first floor room.

I had the worst possible experience here. Not sure if my color is the reason I was treated this way or not but the staff were not friendly. They were not professional at all and rude. I’ve checked in hotels all over the world and this was my worst experience.

Our room was absolutely disgusting…huge stains on the carpet, broken air with cardboard piecing it together, broken lamp, non working outlets, garbage left outside the door and to top it off, the pull out couch sofa had huge blood stains covering almost the entire mattress with mold underneath. It literally looks like someone was murdered there. Reported it to health department after hotel management acted like it was no big deal.

The bathroom had mold spots in it and parts of the carpet were wet I'm assuming it was from the AC. When we asked the front desk about it, they said there were no other rooms for me to switch and we'd forget the room

Not good customer service at all no clean sheets after we asked twice , no iron , the tv in the suite was removed we asked for them to put in back in , it never happened … wasn’t offered anything for our inconvenience….the room needs a deep clean , overall it’s a nice hotel but needs better staff

AC was broken and they said they would fix it, but that didn’t happen. They didn’t have any other rooms available. We booked for 3 nights. It was so uncomfortable to stay there with no AC the first two nights, we had to cut our stay short

First the guy named Evan was rude. second my room was not ready when I arrived at 930Pm was not ready until 10;30pm room had dirty dishes in the dish washer, rotten onions in the drawer that when i opened them roaches came out. turd on a pillow and on the bathroom dorr. I went wednesday morning and they said they would do it. I went back thursday and they said they would clean it. Finally I said forget it. I left on SUNDAY and told the lady is was never done. they said their crew said they did. I threw the rotten onions out on Sunday. I wrote a letter stating I better not be charegd for anyting

I stayed at ES Sonesta in Middleburg Heights, Ohio for 8 nights. I thought it was good. Full size fridge. Microwave. Garbage disposal. Dishwasher even. Now...you have to buy supplies such as dishwashing soap, and dishwasher detergent if you're serious about using the dishwasher. There's a limited amount of dishware. I had one plate, a bowl and a wine glass. There is a minor amount of cutlery but there was a good sized knife. There was a stove top, but there was no frying pan, or other cooking implements. I'm not sure if this was just a deficiency in my room, or whether it extended to other suites. The bed was comfortable. The TV has cable, but no Smart TV applications. You get about 75 channels, mostly rubbish but that's not the hotel's fault. The wifi was great. The room is spacious. It's quiet. There are no interruptions from hotel cleaning staff. If you want to get fresh towels, you just have to present the old ones at the front desk for a refresh. I never did that. The food at restaurants is terrible, generally, in the USA and I suspect, or know, that around the hotel it's not much different. But I have to say that I sort of regretted not trying the Sushi restaurant on Engle Road very near the property, only noticing it when I left. I don't drive, so I used the bus. There's really only one: #86 to Brookpark Rapid Station, and then to West Park Rapid Station. Plan to be back by 8PM, as that's when it ends for the day.

When arriving my girlfriend pointed out to me that she saw some of the wall off. The smoke alarm was hanging off the wall. We asked for a shower curtain at 10am I didnt one till 7pm and the tub was dirty. There was also writing all over our furniture in the room like it was a kids museum!

They were busy when we arrived and I think they tried to get us checked in as soon as possible. But the room we were given had several issues. The ceiling fan blades were caked with dust, the pillows had no cases on them, the floor felt squishy in several places with stains in multiple places on the carpet. The fridge was missing the handle. There was an odd smell. We turned in our key and reported the issues. We were told there was no refund available, and we were never contacted to make anything right. I've never had this type of experience at a hotel before now. Staff was kind, but the property we experienced was horrible. I'd expect a refund from an experience like this.

I loved the sound proofing in the walks, my neighbor played loud music at night, you could hear it through the door but when yoy entered your room it was very quite. Also the pull out bed was awesome for my sister to hang with me while i was in town. Thanks guys i love this place and i always stay here when im in town.
