So, it looks like this could be a renovated property. Only things is they didn’t upgrade the temperature control box (looks like it could be from the 70s), the end tables, closet, and curtains could be from the former hotel and yea, they look like it’s from the 70s. If you’re going to renovate, just do the whole thing cause what they didn’t renovate or update is what you will notice anyhow.

My husband was having an early morning heart surgery at Tacoma General. Hotel is close by and made for an easy trip. Room and bed were very comfortable. The only negative comment is there was no room service. You must pick up order from restaurant and take back to your room.

Nice stay, but no hot water for a shower

Beautiful view of the water and mount Rainier. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We were given adjoining rooms. Bar was friendly and fair prices, decor was outstanding and rooms were super clean

Very nice older hotel. Upscale remodel very nice. The bed (king) was very comfortable and had King size pillows! Within walking distance to restaurants and the Tacoma Convention center. Easy access from the Freeway.

Me and my wife stay for the Thanksgiving week was great except for the curtain was torn on window side, other than that staff was friendly and we’ll be back again soon.

Nice hotel good customer service clean rooms. However if you get a room near the elevator, don’t plan on sleeping every five seconds we could hear the noise from the elevator. Lots of banging and snapping sounds. We probably got two hours of sleep and had to check out early because we could not deal with it anymore. Appreciate the staff giving us a discount on parking but what a waste of money trying to have a relaxing day off at a nice hotel

Breakfast was disgusting. Fed my toddler stale cereal. The bread was old. They had no options whatsoever. If you plan to stay here plan on going out for breakfast.

Charged us $48 for parking even though I paid over $200 for the night. Seems messed up to charge someone for parking

Freezer in the refrigerator needed to be defrosted. TV worked for about 5 minutes then it went black but you could still hear the station. Told this to the front desk they said that they would try to reset the system. Still didn't work. Also the toilet had a crack on the left side of the toilet seat wasn't very comfortable when it pinched your skin.

Lighting in room was poor. One bedside lamp was dim and desk lamp was small. It was difficult at night for packing, etc.

Disappointed to find out after comparing prices to hotels in the area to find out that parking was an additional $27 and I didn’t find that out until I get there. I probably would’ve found a different hotel if I calculated that price in. The reception person wasn’t that helpful and didn’t seem like she wanted to help me. Maybe she wasn’t in the mood. The floors in the bathroom that I stayed in were horrendous like they haven’t been clean for several visits, the hotel isn’t as quiet as the reviews made it seem like and there were many people there. The artwork around the building and inside the building is really nice.

It was s nice stay. Beautiful artwork everywhere and very courteous staff. Very close to the conference center, which was perfect!

I got the room but did not arrive until 9am the next morning. I ended up workinf all night and just needed a few hours of sleep. Housekeeping had already stripped my room. I never even got to use the room!

I arrived well ahead of check in time but was able to check in straight away which was very welcome after a long flight.
My 8th floor room was spacious and clean with a very comfy bed, a good shower and plenty of coffee.
I went down to the bar to get some work done in the evening and the service was excellent.
All in all a great hotel offering very good value.

Nice hotel a block from the convention center. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Tacoma Art Musuem and Museum of Glass. The hotel has nice glass theming and displays on every floor. Clean room with space to move around.

Great room for the price. Absolutely huge (had a corner room).
Pretty outdated in terms of decor, bathroom, in-room amenities, etc.
Seems the elevators are coming up on needing to be updated. 3 elevators and only one seemed to be functional.
Front desk was absolutely fantastic! So friendly and helpful. They were dealing with a rude patron and handled it beautifully while we were checking in.
For my ‘needs-to-be-freezing-to-sleep’ folks, THIS IS THE PLACE. AC went down to 62, couple this with opening the windows and getting that amazing PNW breeze, I slept like a baby.
NHL/NFL fans: they have every channel. Was able to catch the London game and all the early morning games, too.
Felt safe, parking was a breeze.
Highly recommend.

The Hotel Murano in located in downtown Tacoma near the museum district and is walkable, albeit a little hilly. It is near many restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and had a mini bar. The bed was a little too soft for my liking but still decent. The mini fridge in the room was very welcomed. I would stay here again.

I had a problem with the remote control, didn’t work. Engineer came to check the remote, change it for few but never work. We couldn’t use the TV. The next day the gave us the parking and pet fee for free. I was satisfied with the compensation. The hotel is very pretty. We also had take out from the restaurant, was very good. And very well priced . We also had breakfast in the morning was very good too.

We chose this hotel because of the location as it was near 2 music venues we were seeing shows at. The hotel is nice the room is spacious and has a mini fridge. The staff was friendly.

Booked handicap assessable room with toll in shower. Room was plenty big and bathroom & showe were perfect for our needs.

In incredibly “eh” experience for the price point. The hotel is used for almost every social occasion in Tacoma and everything is just weird. The rooms are awkwardly designed, the lighting is weird (random bright red lamps in our room”, the complimentary breakfast might as well be a cardboard box with ketchup, and the staff is very nice but spacey and always seem confused. On top of it all we were charged and extra unauthorized $271.13 for a “no show” fee when we specifically told the hotel we were going to check in late to make a stop and visit family. All around a very weird experience and we WONT be back.

First night of two we were next to the elevator shaft, kept my wife awake all night. Second night they let us move rooms. Mich better

The hotel is very beautiful, but the bed was very uncomfortable.

The public areas are well maintained and it appears to be an exceptional hotel until you step into your room.
The upholstered furniture was stained. There was mold in the shower. The water pressure in the shower was lacking and the TV did not work (technician could not solve the problem) the bed was good and the front desk did remove the parking charge tons compensate for no TV but no service recovery could compensate for mold.

This is a gorgeous hotel and a great location.
Con
There was a loud thud all night ever 15 ish seconds, it was bad enough I had to put in noise canceling headphones just to sleep. When I brought this to the hotels attention the lady at the counter said yea we know about it, I can have the maintenance shut it off. Seriously? Why wouldn’t you do that to begin with. It was such a waste of money and I was really hoping this would be our new monthly hotel we would stay at but with not getting sleep and paying what we paid for the room I don’t think that’s going to unfortunately going to happen. This hotel could be amazing if it wasn’t for that. The whole point of a hotel is location and being able to relax and sleep which wasn’t what we were able to do. I requested a room with a tub since my wife really wanted to be able to sit in it and relax but the water wouldn’t get warm so she ended up just sitting in a could tub and once she was done the tub won’t drain. So disappointed in what was supposed to be a nice relaxing getaway.

Beautiful hotel with fabulous glass art displays. Expected more luxurious linens. No microwave in room. I requested one from the front desk but never delivered. Staff was super friendly and efficient, otherwise. Room was very clean.

I had always wanted to check out Hotel Murano. The glass exhibits on each floor were museum quality and very interesting. The bar on the other hand--disappointed. It was very inviting and I wanted a small snack and a drink but the barman kept sending me up to the empty restaurant because he would have to go get my food if I ordered at the bar. So I had a drink and a snack in a completely empty restaurant instead of by the fire at the bar. What a bully.

It was fine, good location.

There were damages throughout the room. The sink and the bathtub were broken, the curtains were partly torn down, the furniture was stained. There was a leak in the ceiling and I feared for my safety. The glass wall in the elevator was broken. The “breakfast” was gross and there were few options. I won’t come back.

Hotel is a mess. Carpets are strectched, stained and just plain old and dirty. Room had an ancient phone that didnt work. Was told that if I want to call the front desk, I could use the corder land line down the hall in the corridor. The bed wasnt made under the conforter. The sheets were just wauded up under comforter. I spend at least 20 days a year in hotels, and this by far was the WORST I have stayed at. Especially for a priec of $350+ per night on a Wednesday. I will never stay there again or refer to anyone.

I guess the girl at the front desk needed to be educated not showing rudeness. Checked in 9:30 pm w/tiredness, she wore the mask and talked too fast even not looking at us. So, we decided to stay only one day. The room wasn’t that clean and none of trash cans had liner( new normal ?) . No ice bucket and ice machine was out of order outside so i had to go another floor to find ice machine. AC unit was working like big machine making horrible noise whenever runs.

No places walking distance from hotel for basic neccessities such as water, snacks, restaurants. A vending machine with drinks and snacks would be a solution for this problem! Area is a little bit shady which makes it more difficult to walk comfortably to places further away.
8.0 / 10.0
Was a really nice hotel, but we wanted to relax and there was no vending machines or access to bottles of water (lobby was sold out).. no room service.. there were restaurants but we had to go pick up.. not a good hotel to be lazy at. But very clean and wonderful staff.
