Staff fantastic, even in the early hours xx

Lovely stay at a good price. Breakfast wasn’t great. Hot food had been there a while and not much left.

Ideal location in the heart of Reading. No subsidised parking which is unfortunate
2.0
Lovely hotel. Issue with the first room which toilet didn’t flush and the second had no air conditioning so upgraded to a penthouse suit on top floor. Great service. Lovely rooms. Massive bed! Would stay again.
2.0
Decent standard. Good sized bed and room, a little dated, but in the way that contemporary hipster styling goes slightly out of date within 15 years, it’s not like it’s 80s out of date. the hallway carpets/around lifts could be cleaner.
Good location near restaurants, shops, cinema and amenities.
Would be fun with friends, the bar is decent.
2.5
Amazing stay without a doubt. This will be my Reading Stop whenever I visit.

Room was nice and staff were excellent, only let downs were the water pressure on the shower and a plug that didnt work but those things wouldnt stop me staying again
2.5
Central hotel with subsidised parking 2 mins walk away

Great stay, comfortable and clean. The friendly receptionist noted Id asked for a quiet room and was happy to accommodate. Room had all we needed for an overnight stay in Reading visiting friends. The bar on ground flr looked good but we did t get opputunity to try out.

The location is very nice

There was skid marks in the toilet once arrived into our room, staff didn’t describe breakfast for the morning what the deal would be, we already pre paid but they didn’t advise how it would work. Paid for a room with a king size bed and you get two beds pushed together which is ridiculous. To top it off it was two single pathetic blankets on the bed not ideal if you go with your missus, breakfast was disgusting as well would never return to this place such a horrible disgusting place to go!
2.5
Great stay at this hotel , friendly staff and lots to do in the bar area with pool , darts etc .
4.0
Nice friendly staff. Price for room suited the standard.
2.5
Easy polite check in.
Close to station and parking.
Website gives the impression of a fun place to be but most of the staff need to be told this.
Great breakfast selection but the cooked breakfast was cold.
House keeping kept knocking on door despite us being well within check out time and the Do Not Disturb sign.
Could do with an extract fan in the bathroom.

Great place in the middle of town, cool ambiance and atmosphere, staff was very attentive.

Excellent base for our Heritage Live concert at Englefield House. Room available for early check in which was a bonus. Bar area was amazing with variety of games you could play for free. Really helpful staff
Funky contemporary decor in main areas
1.5
Bar very expensive and seemed to charge a different amount for same drinks each time.
Bedding was quite basic and pillows were like bricks.
Some of the games facilities were a bit tired and in need of some maintenance.

Good hotel very central really good lounge bar area

Average hotel. The window didn’t close properly in my room so it was quite noisy in the room from outside traffic. If it was winter it would have been freezing!

Black mould on the ceiling, what i hope was spit dried to the wall, hairs in the shower, aircon did not work on hot humid night, window seals blown and noisy all night. Sign of a quality hotel when on checkout the DONT ask if you enjoyed your stay.
1.5
Lots of street noise, so avoid a 1st floor room. Curtains didn't fit so street lights bled in and rubbish pillows ...

Really easy check in and out reception and bar staff friendly and helpful

This hotel is very conveniently located; it was easy to find everything. Also, the staff was very helpful and efficient. The room was clean. However, some attention is needed to the sink to ensure that it drains properly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful 🙂. The corridors were very dark so much so I actually thought the emergency lighting was active (it wasn't). Into the room noise coming through the windowade it sound like it was open but it was not bathroom good size very little to no ventilation there was a lack of power points light switches were very confusing and also hidden in plain sight (dark grey on dark wood) nice large double bed but only 2 half duvets (so forget cuddling up with ya gf under the duvet watching the TV) pillows were very hard (now that's just personal preference) TV fixed to the wall but it made it difficult to watch it from any other angle than in bed.
I've lived in the town for 40+ yrs always thought it would be amazing to stay there so gave it a try.

Great Hotel, love staying here. Staff are very helpful

This has to be, without doubt; one of the noisiest hotels I have ever stayed in.
The internal doors need soft closers on them to prevent occupants slamming doors all through the night.
The hotel itself is a modern, exceptionally clean facility with much to offer. Large comfortable beds and crisps cotton bedding, along with delightful smelling toiletries should complete a relaxing stay - however, this will be the last time I book this particular Penta Hotel.

Hotel with somewhat quirky (good) style and ambience. Good vibe as you walk in, which continues throughout the hotel. Very friendly helpfull staff. My only negative observation is the fairly dark corridors.
Overall, a great hotel.

Overall it was a very good polite hotel, except that BBC1 Channel wasn't available in the room late at night or early morning.

Totally would stay again. Lovely big bed, and big TV screen. A very warm welcome at reception. Walkable from the train station

Such a unique hotel, with lots of entertainment options, such as table tennis, darts, retro gaming.
An amazing bar area, and communal spaces.
Rooms are amazing. Very quiet at night too.

Room 429, was ok.
Curtains torn, carpet not cleanest, tv had no sound (dunno if remote control or tv problem)
