Nice medium sized hotel close to a subway stop, but in walking distance to the center. However, it’s a bit on the outskirts, so we took taxi several times. Some restaurants and a cosy pub in the neighborhood. We had booked two comfort rooms with updated interiors and comfortable beds. Our rooms on the 6 th floor had access to a lovey roof terrace with a view - great to sit outside on sunny days. Breakfast facilities are a bit small when hotel is fully booked, but the food selection was decent and we were happy with the breakfast. A few tables outside in the garden where you can enjoy your breakfast on sunny days. Staff were friendly and service minded.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was in a quiet street, but a 5 minute walk to the underground and only one stop from the main train station. It's so easy to travel on public transport in Munich. The staff were lovely and friendly at the hotel and there was a great selection for breakfast.

It was a bit dated but clean and valued for money.
Overall it was a good stay. However, on the first morning at 8am, a cleaning MALE staff opened my door and turned the light on with the Do Not Disturb sign on. It made my rest of the stay very insecure as a female.
I did mention this to the receptionist and I hope it won't happen again to other customers.

A great hotel, nothing to complain

We found being here easy to walk around Munich. About a 8 minute walk to the train. Clean hotel and good breakfast. If you drive the parking is easy.

A great hotel all around. Bonus that we we were able to check in extra early. Stayed for a week and enjoyed the free daily breakfast that had everything from bacon and eggs, to cereal and pastries and sausages. Comfortable and clean room. Service was great too. About a 10 minute easy walk to underground station. Highly recommend.

Good stay downtown in rooms with a lot of space and nice bathrooms.

Stayed here for a night during Oktoberfest. The room was ok but I found the bed to be very firm and uncomfortable. The air conditioning wouldn’t get cool enough. The size of the room was good and the street was fairly quiet.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating

Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff! Good location with a roughly 30 minute walk to Marienplatz and max 5 minutes to the closest subway station (Stiglmaierplatz). Good breakfast with lots of different types of bread, yoghurt etc, but the scrambled eggs could have been better. Clean and fresh rooms, slightly small bathroom. Nice quiet area around the hotel. Would absolutely stay here again if visiting Munich in the future!

Great rooms with very comfortable beds and duvets and a breakfast that was perfectly sufficient.
Some mornings had rather slow breakfast staff that made me feel invisible (no offer of coffee and none on the table after passing me 20 times each time avoiding eye contact) but all quick enough once you firmly assert yourself.
The one major problem was that the WIFI didn't work in the room. My devices said the WIFI was on a channel that was competing with many other WIFI's. Only the slightest trace of a single bar - occasionally. If you need WIFI to work, then this is not a hotel for you.
I thought the room itself was very good. And the proximity to the metro was fine.

Most friendly and helpful staff. Quiet area, lovely garden terrace for the morning breakfast. Definitely to recommend.

The personal was friendly and service minded. The cleaning was very poor. An old towel was left from the previous guest, glasses were used, a plastic cup was left from previous guest, things missing from the minibar, strands of hair in the bath and around the toilet. The breakfast was okay. We liked the location of the hotel and the full length windows in our room.

The staff here were very friendly and the room was comfortable. The location was convenient enough - about a 25 minute walk from the main old town area - and the breakfast was very good with lots of options.

The hotel is in a good location and has great staff. Check in was quick and we were actually allowed into our room a couple hours early. This was super helpful since we had just come in from an international flight. The room was very quiet! There is a good breakfast with attentive staff. Housekeeping super quick and our room was clean and comfy. Unfortunately we had poor wifi.
You will be near church bells and they are very loud, but do not ring during the night.
There is a big step up into tub which might be an issue for older or less nimble visitors.

Really enjoyed the stay here.

Rooms lovely and clean. Staff very helpful. Breakfast had good variety and available until 10.30. 5 minuet walk to the underground and one stop to the centre. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights during the Munich portion of our honeymoon. The hotel was clean, and front desk staff were friendly, however the location was not the greatest. It felt like more of a residential neighbourhood. Getting to main attractions in Munich are a long walk or Uber ride.

An absolutely lovely hotel not far from the city centre. Me and my daughter visited enroute our inter raio trip.
Clean, neat and lovely modern rooms. Loved the balcony_styled windows and made full use during the day.
Breakfast is superb! I cannot commend the chef and staff enough, the options are excellent and i especially loved the cold meat and egg salad.
Only negative with the place is poor wifi as i didnt get any durong the stay and both me and my daughter had to use packet data.
Also, if youre someone from a tea or coffee loving place where tea/coffee facilities come with the room, you'd be disappointed. There is no kettle in the room.
Otherwise, an impeccable place.

The hotel was great, service was excellent. Thank you.

It was great! The best part is the breakfast in the garden. So peaceful and cozy! They have a great selection of local pastries and other food items. It was really the highlight. The only thing that needs improvement is the weak wifi signal. We got a corner room (which was great bc it gave us many windows for great view) but the room was too far from the router to receive good signal. Other than that, everything was great. It was also close to a lot of local restaurants and bars. And easy walk to the train station.

Arrived Thursday afternoon/evening. We wanted to park at the hotels parkinglot. No problem getting into the parking in the basement, but getting the car in the parking space took a while. No a lot of space and also getting out of the car was an issue.
We checked in. The lady at the reception could give us a card over inner Munich.
The room was big and spacious. Lovely bathroom with a bathtub. We turned on the ac and went for a walk. When we came back the room was cool and it was great.
Breakfast was fine. Bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, all kind of cereal, cake, fruit and vegetables. Also juice, water, coffee and tea.
We stayed for three nights. We had cleaning each day. Normally when we hang the towels we do not want them to be changed, but each day they changed our towels.
One the second day our ac didn’t work and also on the 3rd day. We complained but because it was weekend they couldn’t help us. We got a discount and only paid for one night parking instead of three nights, due to the lack of ac.
Wifi isn’t good at the hotel room. We couldn’t download mails or anything unless we went down to the reception.
The hotel is in walking distance to inner city and close to a local beer garden.
We can recommend the hotel, but be aware of the lack of internet.

Had a 4 day trip to Munich and stayed at the Erzgießerei Hotel.
Overall real good quality.
If i would have to pick the best and the worst point:
Absolut top is the breakfast! Not only the quality of pruducts but also the very welcoming and kind staff!
Not top? I struggle to find something!
My son and i loved those 4 days in Munich, not only, but also because of the hotel!

Apart from the rather small boxed parking underground lots - everything is perfect in this hotel.Unfortunately, there is no street parking in this area possible one has to rely on the hotel facilities. No problems with compact cars but larger cars hardly fit.

Great little business hotel, usefully close to Underground network and rest of Munich

We needed a hotel for one night in Munich before flying home to Boston. This one met all of our expectations: Clean, conveniently located, comfortable and quiet. Staff members friendly and helpful.
