Excellent service from all the staff.
Breakfast was really tasty, the continental selection was vast.
The primary disappointment was the fire escape type access to the room.
4.6
Breakfast was amazing - staff very friendly and helpful.
4.6
Professional, friendly and attentive staff from the time we arrived until we checked out.
Hotel in a great location close to all amenities and restaurants.
Individual parking space and well equipped rooms.
Would certainly recommend to all.

Situated on the edge of Bowness, very conveniently placed for a stroll into any of the many restaurants. Breakfast was incredible and excellent value. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night!
4.6
Lovely little place! Rooms are dated but the location, staff, breakfast and secret garden make up for it.
4.6
Hotel is set in really nice grounds and has really great potential. Our room was very dated which wasnt too bad. However there were patches of mold throughout the room and the ironing board cover had mold on it. The room must have been very damp as the bedside lamps were rusty as were the radiators. Dead flies on the window in the bathroom- think this was missed on previous clean. Lipstick on the bathmat. Parking was great and its a short walk into Bowness.
4.6
We stayed in the tree house - room 6 and it was great. Spacious and clean. Lovely balcony to sit on.
Breakfast is great ..continental and then your choice of hot breakfast so something for everyone. With only a 7 minute walk to the lake is perfect location.
We will definitely stay here again when we visit next year

Excellent from start to finish
4.6
Excellent location, the breakfasts are brilliant.
4.6
Parking was outside which was very nice to have. No noises like you would expect from hotel rooms and landings, bedrooms were individual units so much quieter, relaxing and gave a feel of freedom.
Breakfast was fabulous as was service. Showers were powerful.
Only small downside were that rooms are in need of an update but not a problem.
Thank you all at Burn How our stay was perfect!

A traditional room , good size, 2 double beds. Huge wardrobe, Ironing board and iron. Bathroom tired and a tatty, board behind sink hanging off . Drinks and biscuits provided. Breakfast superb, restaurant quality. Lovely dining room and bar . Staff lovely . Disappointed to not get a latte or cappuccino which aren’t supplied ????
4.6
Had a garden room - very private and quiet, no view of Lake Windermere due to height of trees. In general, very clean and well equipped. Staff very friendly. Good choice for breakfast. Nothing too much trouble.
4.6
It has great staff,very friendly.
The suite was immaculate and the facilities are very good.We had a table outside and flowers everywhere

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff and great location.

Hotel is beautiful, staff is very friendly.
We couldn’t make to breakfast and they put it in a box for us to bring to our travel.
Just forgot my airpods there and they haven’t seen :(

We really enjoyed our stay…the room was large and the bed very comfy. We had everything we needed. The service at breakfast was excellent and there was a very good choice.
The location was ideal for visiting Bowness and ideal for catching the buses to visit other sites…
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely stay again

We loved everything about our stay at this hotel. The room was clean, decorated nicely and spacious. Because it’s not part of a main ‘hotel’ it’s like your own little holiday apartment. Every staff member we came across from check in to breakfast service was absolutely lovely, friendly and professional. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and a short walk to the main area. We will definitely be booking in again!
4.6

Super friendly staff
Amazing breakfast
We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this hotel

There are better options.
4.6
Fantastic location. Wonderful staff and breakfast was great! Spacious rooms too!
4.6
When we checked in room was extremely warm. Contacted front desk and found out towel warmer was left on high. Also no ventilation or cooling available . Hard to sleep in warm room with no fan or ventilation. Was able to open window with no screen to prevent bugs from entering. Also the window that was open was available for the public to see into our room. We also left from door open with no screen to try and cool things down from towel warmer . Another room was not offered during our stay after letting the staff know of the situation. Breakfast was excellent. Property and garden were nice also.
4.6
The property is quiet and beautiful. The walk through the secret garden is pretty magical, with accommodating rabbits to accompany you. No kidding - we named him Dave.
4.6
Lovely hotel with lovely gardens surrounding it. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The best breakfast ever!
4.6
Perfect stay! We are already planning our next stay at this hotel.

Reception and dining room staff were very friendly and helpful
The only disappointment was with the room which was quite small. The bathroom had no wash basin it was in the bedroom. But the bedroom was very clean
4.6
The stay was very good we would highly recomend it to other people

An older property, bed not that comfortable and shower extemely small and very difficult to use. Breakfast great. Room very clean, lovely staff and location excellent for boat and bus trips. Village pleasant to walk around. Los of dining options
4.6
We stayed at the property for 3 days. We got an upgrade when we arrived.
Staff couldn't have been more friendly, made us feel so welcome.
Afternoon tea and cake served each day.
Breakfast beautiful, so many options. So many wonderful places to visit. Great running routes.
4.6
A hidden gem, on arrival some areas feel a little dated this all helps with the ambience so don’t be put off. Lovely ladies very helpful at breakfast, choice amazing and well cooked. We stayed in one of the chalets lots of room and nice new bathroom, also liked you had your own marked parking space close to room.
4.6
I would recommend this hotel - the location (just a stones throw away from the lake), the staff were so so friendly and alway smiling and breakfast was amazing all freshly prepared. The property is an old building which may put people off but it was clean and well looked after

We had a lovely night here. The hotel is really clean with lots of character & beautiful gardens. Our room was cosy, the bed was really comfy & the shower was hot! Plenty of teas& coffees to use & good quality toiletries too.
Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice of hot food cooked to order & a good assortment of cereals., yogurts & top quality fresh fruits. Thecstaff were all very friendly & helpful.
It was a 5 minute walk into Bowness or the lake.
Can definitely recommend this hotel.

Customer service was great. Location was perfect. Breakfast was amazing. View and everything. Price was very reasonable. We paid around 120 for 3 people in a family room for on3 night. Good deal i would say.

Amazing and authentic place to stay. Service was exemplary. Recommend.
4.6
Welcoming and friendly, our family room was warm and spacious, tea, coffee, biscuits, a great shower. Breakfast had great choices and it was delicious, served with lovely views of the garden.
Super close to the lake and town. We also used the voucher given to us for discounts on the boat trip. Would definitely recommend, we had a lovely time.
4.6
As a relatively small hotel, it felt a more comfortable environment. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast provided a large rang of choice and food delivery was prompt. Getting an early breakfast had the added bonus of a view of the garden and wild birds feeding. Our room with a balcony was spacious with everything we needed. An easy walk into Bowness.
4.6
A large group stay at the Burn How every year and the hotel and staff are always friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The rooms are large and clean and the location. Is fantastic,
