The Red Lion was so, so! The people at the front desk were very good and caring. When we got there, we were informed that all the king size rooms on the first floor were rented. We had requested a room that was handycapped accessible as we both have troubles climbing stairs and they had no elevator. They offered to give us a gueen room on the ground floor, which was fine with us. When we got to room 106, it was clean and nice, except it had one bed and absolutely no closet or hooks to hang any clothes on and the shower had a bench in it that was bolted to the wall, so you had to sit on it to take a shower. It was overall clean and the bed was comfortable, but it just seemed to have lots of unfinished quirks.

Convenient for a short overnight stay. The staff are friendly and the location is convenient. The hotel itself is a little weathered. The room we stayed in was not cleaned very well as there was garbage still in the room and old contact lenses found on the floor. The floor itself was not cleaned very well.

We ventured onto this hotel after a lone day on the road and were able to find secure and well lit parking area.Greeted by friendly staff, we found our new on to be newly renovated and very comfortable. The hotel offers a good sized pool with a lovely courtyard adjacent. A free breakfast was appreciated. Proximity to fuel station and ease of access off highway are further positives. This place is large! If we lived nearby, I’d certainly stay again for team functions. If we ever head back that way, I’d most definitely stay again to explore the area.

This is my second night staying here and this morning when I got up, I thought I’m gonna try the pool in the Jacuzzi because I got some really sore muscles and stuff going on and the pool was halfway warm and the Jacuzzi was just almost cold when I tried to set the 10 minute dial the Jacuzzi actually Never did really warm up. It stayed that temperature so hot tub means hot water not cold or cool. I think they need to be told . As for anything else, it was pretty good. The food is great here the breakfast their buffet consisted of scrambled eggs and sausage and that was it course they had bread for toast and some waffles. It was more like a continental then it was a buffet, but it was not a bad stay here.

The hot tub didn't work the shower made super loud noises scared the crap outta my grandson he wouldn't take a bath or shower the floor was super dirty and the chair had a lot of stains on it was very dirty we weren't comfortable at all

The staff was excellent. Bed was very comfortable, however the bed was not anchored and it was on wheels so it would go sliding across the room, accident waiting to happen. Room was very spacious. Bathroom door the paint was peeling at the bottom.There was no elevator which made getting luggage to your room a little difficult. Loved that the pool and hot tub were inside. However I was so looking forward to soaking in the hot tub after driving. But the hot tub was cold and dirty same for the pool. No towels at pool side, I had to go to the front desk and ask for them. Which was done right away. I was told by staff that they had been having trouble with the pool and it worked on and off. Breakfast was cold sausage and eggs. This hotel desperately needs some renovation. Not worth the price your charging. Will not be staying here again.

Good location. Property is older and tired ...which i could deal with. But... there was still stuff in the mini fridge from previous guest, there were no coffee cups, no coffee, the hot tub was... not even warm (didnt try the pool considering temp of hot tub), breakfast was medicore. It was just an overnight stop but i wouldnt recommend.

The room hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival. There was yellow nastiness in the toilet and on the back of the seat, floor hadn't been swept, there was some sticky stuff spilled on the counter, Q-tip in the garbage can and the bed wasn't made well. I found a housekeeper in the hallway and brought her in to see it. She agreed it hadn't been cleaned and was grossed out by the toilet also. The housekeeper called the manager who eventually came up. She had cleaned our room for 50 minutes prior to seeing her manager and telling him. The Manager did nothing. Didn't really even offer an apology for the uncleaned room, no discount on another nights stay just explained why he hadn't checked the room himself. We were appalled at the uncleaned room, a manager that didn't seem to care about it at least not enough to acknowledge it or do anything on it, and spending almost an hour of our nights stay just sitting in the room while the housekeeping gal did what should have been done already by the 1st housekeeper. The Manager was the worst part of it. The housekeeper was great in that she acknowledged that it wasn't cleaned and fixed it. The Manager did nothing l. No discount on another nights stay, no swapping for a room with a clean toilet, a made bed and a swept floor not even an apology for things. This is what we payed $150^ for? Are cleaned toilets extra then?

I like the hotel, because of it’s friendly staff, fantastic pool and good breakfast. But here is an issue with hygiene. I assume lack of labor. Hairs in the bathroom, tiles around the pool not clean, etc. easy to fix , then five stars wouldn’t be far to reach.

Stay was ok nice rooms. Hotel needs updated overal but the rooms are updated so thats plus. Need to work on cleanliness there was garbage in between dresser, dirty towel hanging on balcony and the coffee stirrers weren't even wrapped just laying on tray 😐 overall was a decent stay

This was a grand hotel 40 years ago. But it hasn't aged well. And management seems not to care. Every toilet I saw had hard water rings in it. Our room had newer vinyl plank floors but the mop boards were still the same height as when there was carpet. Who knows what was swept or mopped under there to rot? The ceiling in the shower had a large area of bare sheetrock where the texturing had fallen off. 5 light bulbs in the vanity fixture, one was out and the others didn't match. There was dust/debris behind the chair.

The hallway was dingy. Stains on the rug. I was worried my room was going to be old and outdated. Surprisingly the rooms were very nice. They should mop the floors better though. I spilled some coffee and when I cleaned it up it my rag was black. I cleaned some more on other parts of the floor and it was black as well. I like the concept of hard floors vs carpet. A dog was barking in a room nearby and had some spiders in the room but other than that it was nice.

Nice place, needs a little updating. Air conditioner unit very loud and never shut off even when I turned it off. Breakfast was great but ended too soon with a lot of fresh food uneaten.. I nearly missed even getting a cup of coffee.

I could see while walking down the hall that some of the rooms had been updated. Part of ours had been, but most of it had not. There were hooks on the wall where pictures used to hang, poor paint job, needed some repair work and facelift. However, the shower was updated and the beds were nice and clean.
