Moved me into a single room (which felt like a closet) because of overbooking. Did give me a credit and also moved my 2 friends into an attic room.
Closed the bar early the first night we were there which was a bit disappointing as my friends had arrived late from different parts of the world.
Breakfast was delicious, the service was very good and the staff friendly. Lounge areas very comfortable and location was great.

Nice boutique hotel - room at the front into the street but wasn’t disturbed by any noise at night.
Staff were excellent - v welcoming.
Room was a great size and well appointed.
Didn’t me as I need the exercise but a lot of stairs. Bellman carried the luggage up and down so no issue.

Friendly and helpful staff. We checked in very late at night and got a very small room with difficult access in the lower floor. We asked for a change of room and the next we were moved to much nicer and larger room. The staff was very helpful to accommodate our request

Lovely, slightly quirky boutique hotel with helpful staff. Recently refurbished, well-appointed rooms. Good continental breakfast. Very well situated in a good area that feels very safe at night, with access to several different underground lines.

Lovely boutique, independent hotel walkable to the University of London, parks and "Store Street" of Bloomsbury around the corner--local cafes, wine bars and restaurants. The staff at this hotel was courteous and helpful. The library and back garden were extra bonuses. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in London.

Really lovely hotel, the interiors were well picked and the space beautifully designed. Lots of hotels in London are very clinical and minimal, but this hotel felt like it was a beautiful home from home. Great service from staff, quick walk to the tube station and felt secure with key card entry into the hotel too.

Got stuck in London on am unexpected overnight layover. Foe the price, room was nice, comfortable and more or less clean (bitnof a mildew smell in the bathroom). The two best thi gs about this place is the service and location.

This hotel is in a great location in Bloomsbury, but tucked away on a quiet street. The public areas are relaxed and comfortable and the outside space is fantastic. The bar and restaurant are perfect for the type of hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and well decorated, and the bathrooms are clean with plenty of amenities. I will return.

It was a great stay
Staff was very friendly
Only 3 minor things, why I didn’t give 5 stars:
The room in the basement was very dark
No toilet brush
Only 1nightstand on 1side of the bed

Unfortunately the room was very noisy, and noisy residents. The air conditioner and fire alarm had very bright lights making it difficult to sleep. And a musty smell in bathroom.

Hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Lobby, sitting area and garden are pretty, but hotel has absolutely ZERO vibes. Bar and garden area never had an attendant during our stay. Complimentary breakfast was missable. Minibar you’re told is free, but also was never replenished. No lift. Towel warmer didn’t function. Room was comfortable and clean. Would have been okay if it were 200per night. Best part of the hotel is the adorable street next to it called Store Street. And breakfast at Honey & Co daily.

Great boutique hotel in a quiet hamlet of London, walkable to all major Ashens, including the British museum, which was right around the corner. Would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay at this property. Every part of the experience was impeccable…staff, service, cleanliness, luxurious accommodations. It was a little haven in the bustle of London.

We arrived at the hotel having had our suitcases stolen elsewhere - the staff were lovely and very helpful. Our room was very comfortable and the hotel is a little gem which resurrected our mini break! Breakfast was very good and again staff members friendly and very professional. We Will definitely stay again here. Special mention to Felix and Miguel on front desk!

Very comfortable stay. Very good breakfast. Good location and within walking distance to many sites. Encountered a problem with the plumbing in my room and was immediately offered another room which was an upgrade. Outstanding.

Lovely comfortable, well appointed hotel, I know it is an old building, but a lift would be a real benefit if you are travelling with luggage
also as an old building, it is easy to forget where your room is
great rooms and great breakfast!

Second stay in 18 months. Very comfortable and friendly, close to West End.

The walls are very thin, so you can hear every noise. The rooms were also very stuffy and hot, only one attendant was helpful with this issue on our last night.

Excellent location between the museum and the main London train station , great staff and excellent breakfast. Rooms are a little small and older but quiet. Enjoyed the stay there

Location great, staff very friendly, professional and attentive. Hotel is very tastefully appointed and decorated. We stayed in one of the Bloomsbury Suites and on arrival the Toilet had a strong sewage smell from the drains. Tried the usual, flushing the loo and running water down all drains but to no avail. Were rushing out for dinner and reported to duty manager - housekeeping tried their best with cleaning products but on return it only masked the smell and in the morning we asked to move rooms. Hotel had been full on the Friday night and we had to wait till other guests had checked out. It was my daughters wedding that day and she was getting ready in our room for the registry office just after lunchtime. The staff moved all of belongings to a new suite while we were out for the day/ evening celebrating with family. We were given a welcome complimentary gift for our troubles. Whilst the staff dealt with the issue effectively and as quickly as possible. However my only disappointment was somebody must have known about the problem and the room should not have been let in the first place. I would be amazed if a previous guest or housekeeping hadn't noticed the overpowering sewage smell. On balance it wouldn't stop me staying at the academy again.
