Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Water view is what makes the stay great. Heater fan rattled loudly when running and placement if the smoke detector is not ideal. The green light flashes right in your face at night as its directly above your head when sleeping. Weird placement. Packers restaurant is outstanding. Loved the food.

We have been here many times. We always have a good time. We invited another couple along and they enjoyed it too.
Notes:
1. When I booked, they warned us that the wonderful pool would be closed for repairs until late October. We were going to be there in November. About a week before our arrival we got a notice that the pool would now be closed during our visit. The pool is one of the main reasons why we stay here, but it was too late for us to change our plans. We understand that things change with work of this type, but should the property be charging a hefty “resort fee” if a main resort facility is not available?
2. I reserved a double queen ADA room but we decided to change to a king ADA room with a sofa bed, which would be on the pet friendly patio level for a slightly higher rate. When we checked in they informed us that there were no rooms of this type available (even though the hotel was basically empty) but they could put a rollaway in the room, which was fine, except for the fact that the rollaway blocked the patio door, which was why they were putting us on that level in the first place! It didn’t really matter because the door was so hard to open that it wasn’t useable anyway. Which leads me to:
3. The property is showing its age. The hallways show a lot of wear and tear, some furnishings are dated and worn, there are many doors that do not open or close properly, etc.
We hope that they can renew the resort to keep it as special as in the past.

Amazing location! Loved walking on the spot and watching all the wildlife. The pool and hot tub were closed unfortunately and we weren’t fast enough to reserve a pickle ball court, but the steam room and sauna were lovely.

Their pet fee has doubled and they have not updated the form you sign and. You check in and they wouldn’t honor the lower price

It was second time for our family trip.
I think this is the hotel that can offer “Hotelcation(hotel vacation)”. We can enjoy beach, swimming pool, spa, gym, golf, rental bike, restaurants and so on : )
Only downside was we didn’t get enough amenities in bathroom. Only 3 bath towel even we booked by 4 of us. No bath floor mat and body soap dispenser was empty so we had to call and stop by front desk. Housekeepers looked very young so hope they supervise them good way!
Overall we love this hotel and will come back : )

There was no hot water available. The only compensation was no resort fee charged. Property is in need of a remodel.

Excellent place to relax

The property is in a wonderful picturesque setting with lovely seating. The dining is sub par, having to wait an hour for a bowl of soup and raw tuna, which was not fresh. The room was very noisy as it was booked through Expedia and was above the main desk and front door. Probably the worst room in the whole hotel. People with dogs allow them to pee and other on the front lawn.

We attended my cousin’s wedding at 4pm, we asked for an earlier check in for 3:30 so we could change and we were refused so we had to change in someone else’s room (they arrived a day earlier) at exactly 4pm I got a call telling us the room was ready… too late we were already at the ceremony. I passed by the room we were suppose to occupy at 3:30 and it was done, when I told the front desk they said check in is at 4 and we had to wait…very poor service (cleaning ladies were simply standing around chit chatting) I will never go back and would never recommend it to anyone! The price is over rated at 522$CAD per night - terrible customer service and unacceptable below standard accommodations.

Second stay at the Semiahmoo resort and enjoyed the clean, relaxing resort and beautiful sunset on the beach while sitting by the fire. Learned that the fire pits along the beach were only accessible once reserving and paying 150$. The fire pits along the grass were lit by staff for all to enjoy.

I have a lot to say about this place and I have yet to do a yelp review. The staff and all of its employees are the only thing that is exceptional about this place. Everything else was a letdown. From the constant broken amenities that the employees let us know is always The same and never fixed. To the misled atmosphere targeted towards couples who want relaxing spa weekend. This place is open to the public. There will be kids of cute places will be reserved for their weddings. One other great spot was their restaurant! Some of the best food I had an entire island. Housekeeping, left our door open every single day stains on the sheets and retaliation for complaints. If you want to take your kids here great! Wedding? Great! Couples retreat? Think again. There are so many other spots.

The only downside was breakfast. It was mediocre at best. Dinner in Packers was lovely and the S’Mores by the fire in the evening were inspired!

Loved the reserved beach fire and s’mores. Walking and biking along beach trail was wonderful. Restaurant food was delicious during our stay. Wish the pool area was larger due to many families at resort. They do have adult only swim times. 2 nights stay was relaxing for a quick Seattle get-a-way.

Wonderful location, staff were very friendly.
The bed was exceptional. The rest of thee room had an identity crisis - part Motel 6 and part Northwest classic. Outrageously expensive for what you get. Beware extra fees & charges!!

The power had been out for 24 hours by the time we checked in, but we were not notified abead of time. The pool, spa, and restaurants were understandably closed, but they made the best of it by providing an outdoor BBQ and live music. The horel was fantastic about the situation - i was more unhappy with hotels.com and their service around this particular stay.

Well, there was a power outage during the time we were there (4th of July). No power, no restaurant, no lights etc. but they stepped up, brought out all the bbqs for making onsite fixings. There was a generator for a live band and they had plenty to do. Beautiful view of the ocean ! Excellent staff!!

It's a wonderful resort. We love it for it's beautiful location, free biking, pool, etc. It's beautiful and food at the restaurants is absolutely delicious. If you planning to stay here, book a room with a balcony.

Exceeded my expectation. Loved the wood columns and stairs and doors. Beautiful. Best view of ocean AND Mt. Baker. Had everything: free bikes, s'mores, pool, hot tub, beach bonfires, movies (for the kids), games, a tons of beach combing. They left a nice card and chocolates for our special occasion. Definitely glad i got the ocean view. Great food and best sunsets ever. Thank you!!!

The property was well maintained in the main areas. For dining options we had to drive 20 minutes into town since the restaurants were booked up the nights we were there. The rooms were decent but the bed was not comfortable and if you plan on using the pull out couch for a bed to use, don't do it. There is a very thin mattress in the couch. Once it's pulled out for use its very noisy and squeaks with any movement. Since there is no padding to the thin mattress will feel the metal bars on your back all night. Overall the views were beautiful and the property was relaxing. Just wish the rooms were better maintained and had microwaves inside for convienence to heat up food if the restaurants are booked up all weekend and you have kids with you.

Very friendly staff beautiful setting

Location of the property is awesome. The rooms however left a lot to be desired. Low ceilings, relatively dark with windows not that large, and dub oar quality finish made us feel like we are staying at a motel rather than a resort. We expected more especially when you pay price of a 4 star for our stay. Other than that, we had a good experience because we stayed away from the room and used it to just sleep. Next time, will look for condos nearby, that looked better.

The rooms were very clean. I really enjoyed the amenities including the restaurant, the bikes, the snores kit, and the games room. The location was amazing. The only area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the pool and jacuzzi. It was quite dirty. We were initially planning to join some of the pool activities until we used the pool and decided not to use it again as it was not clean. It would also be nice to have a higher temperature on the jacuzzi tub. Otherwise everything else was fabulous!

Started off with key cards that did not work . Booked a courtyard view and ended up with view of parking lot above front driveway . The dining experience was pretty bad . We ate at the Packers pub . Server seemed overwhelmed and distracted . Long wait between dishes and food arrived cold/ room temp , overcooked Halibut. I was served a 9oz glass of wine in a very small glass filled to the brim , my husband was served an espresso in a large coffee cup and it was cold . Dessert was also supposed to be a warm cookie and was not warm , I specifically asked if it was warm .
Tried to book spa apt , nothing available . Tried to use steam room , it was out of service . Wanted to play backgammon , were told it was missing pieces and they got rid of it.
Room was clean and beds were nice and comfortable… walk on beach saved trip 😉

This is a great place for family vacations and get togethers. They have a great spa and swimming pool and bikes for everyone in the family. The bonfire in the evenings adds to the fun and there is a game room with lots of games. I would highly recommend this place for a weekend staycation.

Staff was friendly. The only plus of our stay. Our bathroom door lock was broken. Our heater/AC made a loud banging sound when it was on. We told the front desk and had maintenance come out but told us it was a new fan. We were told we could request a space heater or standing fan. At dinner they offered a buffet which our daughter chose for her dinner but by the time she went to get her main food they were already clearing the food. We had no heads up from our waitress. My wife ordered pasta but when it was brought out it was a different pasta and our server told us she forgot that they were out of pasta she ordered. Server never gave my wife the chance to order something else. At night people were running down the hallways and stomping on the floor above us. We tried to go swimming but they didn’t have towels and it took forever for new towels and o coke so we had to go back to our room and use our Own which is wasted a bunch of time.
We came here to have a night to relax as a small family and this trip was the opposite where we were stressed out. I understand that it being memorial weekend it was going to be busy but the resort just seemed unprepared at every aspect. We had a horrible experience.

Second time staying here, first time was amazing we had the place to ourselves second time it was fully booked, and a holiday weekend. The property staff, restaurant and overall vibe was amazing. Front desk was ok. But all in all they handled the everything like champs and you wouldn't have known of it was he yic or not. Definitelyadr our family getaway!!

Welcoming and attentive staff. Little extras make it special. Bonfire, wine tour, complimentary hot chocolate and tea, movie theatre. Bicycles were great to go for a stroll. Beautiful views nearby.
Good pool area. Easy parking.
Watch you step in the parking lot. I fell - there are warning signs everywhere so I suppose this has happened to others in the past. Staff were helpful and provided ice packs.
We will be back.
