Nice hotel with good breakfast. Very pricy though. Additional $25 to park a car.

There are roaches all over my room

Staff was great. Facility is for the most part clean. Location great.
The facility is a least 40 years old and it is time for Hilton to start renovating.

The room was spacious and there is onsite parking. The balcony is closed off so you cant stand on it. There was some mold on the walls in the bathroom. Breakfast was complimentary but it was basic foods and pretty bland. The button to use the elevator up from the parking garage was not sensitive and didnt light up so we had to press it multiple times for an elevator to come to us.

We had a staycation for my son’s birthday. Everything was nice, reasonable affordable for suites, they had free breakfast, and a complimentary happy hour. The bartender was nice. I was a little disappointed the pool was closed, other than that everything was exceptional. I will be returning when the pool opens with the kids lol.

Front desk staff were very pleasant. The bathroom sink was plugged, maintenance did get there quickly to fix it. The shower was not very clean and the faucet was extremely difficult to turn on and we couldtnt get it completely turned off. The kitchen sink ran and we couldn’t get that turned off either. Staff was very friendly and prompt wi the service.

Very nice hotel! Great priced for the location! Staff was very friendly!

While the hotel was clean, all of the common area furniture was old and worn.
The elevator and our room both smelt of cigarette smoke
At breakfast, the milk in the dispenser had turned bad. When I told the staff they immediately changed it out.
The food was just okay.
I have stayed in Embassy Suites for many years and will continue to do so.
I will not stay in this one again and will not recommend it to anyone

It was the worst embassy I stayed in. Had to pay $23 a night for parking. One elevator didn’t work so had at least a 10 minute wait going either up or down and carrying things I didn’t want to walk up 7 flights. I’m 65. Didn’t even know there was a parking garage until I left. The front desk guy just told me go around the corner there’s parking. I got there at night alone had to make several trips to get in and I was outside of the building in a parking lot beside the building. Had to walk a long way with my stuff to get in. There were always groups of people just right at the door you had to walk through with your stuff rude didn’t try to open the door for you with your hands full smoking marijuana. It was my scariest experience ever! And I know marijuana smell my husband is in law enforcement and I worked in the court system for over 30 years. I got to my room and stayed. It was awful! Couldn’t use a cart for my luggage as you could barely have room in the elevator for one person and a suitcase. We were packed in there like sardines because of the long wait time. I could never advise anyone to stay at this location.

Room was dirty, shower didn't work; faucet handle in the shower was ready to fall off as well as the one on the sink. Terrible, old outdated place

Our stay was really good. The hotel was clean, staff was nice. The front windows and balcony door (sealed) allow quite a bit of noise in. The rooms were quite except the noise from the common area and traffic.

We stayed in room 304 and had a water leak coming out of the ceiling light in the bathroom. Had maintenance come look at it, he went to look at room 404 to see if it was ok there. We had an event to go to, when we got back there was a fan inside the bathroom pointing at the ceiling. In the morning went to shower and water knob was loose and would not turn water on, so maintenance had to come again and fix. My cousin got a shower, i did not as we wanted to get on the road. Nice facilities just needs more upkeep before the customer gets there

This was the best experience I've had in a long time at a hotel! My mom and I just stayed for 1 night to celebrate her 54th wedding anniversary! The all of the hotel staff was wonderful! The breakfast staff went above and beyond to help everyone and keep the dining room clean! We really wished we could have stayed longer! But i am coming back with my best friend for her birthday and hopefully i can talk my fiancé into coming for a weekend too! I love it here!

Hotel was ok. The hotel could use some updating.

Old property, couldn’t sleep due to the noise from the street.

We had a great room, great staff! Would be nice to be able to get room service, but even if the kitchen was open for a short order menu to order from would suffice. There are not many restaurants in the immediate area, bars with bar food yes. To have everything you need in one place to be able to enjoy a weekend away without stressing over food is the only thing thatvwould have made it better.

Read a lot of bad reviews on property. We stayed only one night for a concert and I can't complain. Property is older but clean and service from check in to happy hour was great. Easy access to Arrowhead. Would stay there again in the future.

I booked this hotel because it had a hot tub , sauna , and a big pool. The hot tub didn’t work , the sauna was out of order . I also booked it for the balcony and the door was screwed and glued shut. Had I known these items weren’t working I wouldn’t have booked the hotel. I would call a head before and ask if these items work otherwise book somewhere else. For 250. A night I expected better.

The staff overall was bad. The room was not restocked when we checked in. There was no coffee pods, no pillows or blankets for the pull out couch, there was no body wash- like not even a bottle just the metal holder. So after dinner I call down to see if we can get pillows and coffee. The pillows could be delivered but I would have to come down for coffee. So I went down and got pods. Got back up and realized there is no blanket. So I try to call back down there but now the room phone wont work. It was like the front desk didn't hang up. So I try calling on my cell. I get put on hold and they hang up, so I call back- same thing happens. So I go BACK downstairs and ask for a blanket (leaving my kids alone again) and report the phone not working and getting hung up on and it was just like an oh ok, sorry whatever kind of response. Same guy helping both times within like 5 min of each other. Then this morning the kids wanted to go swimming as soon as it opened so we go down just after 7. The swim card we got the previous day wouldn't work so had to go back to the front desk and get a new swim card. She was just like, yeah it won't work today. Would've been helpful to have #1 been given a card at check in and #2 be told you would need a new one each day. So we swim for about an hour. Go back to our room and the room card wont work. I call on my cell hoping they can turn it back on, explain the situation and again I need to come to the desk. Please contact me

Room had a leaking shower, the refrigerator wasnt cooling and needs defrosted. Pool was overcrowded. Tried to order pizza and oven is broke but they still have it on the menu.

We have stayed at this location previously. In a word, the place is now just shabby looking. Stains in the carpet. Elevators that apparently are quite often non-functional. Broken lamp in our room. Constant dripping in the tub faucet. Windows appear as if they have never ever been cleaned. The made order breakfast was marginal at best. I’m not sure what is happening to this location, but it is significantly not well taken care of. Very disappointed. Surprised Hilton continues to keep it under its name. In the future, we will be looking elsewhere. So sad.

This hotel is in tough shape. The staff was ok. Most of the breakfast staff seemed to hate their life, with the exception of Willie. Willie was happy every morning and made it a point to say hi to people. The neighborhood is filled with homeless people sleeping on the grass. Walking anywhere at night will take a person right through the homeless encampments. The west end area is OK, but seems to be a struggling area. If we go back to Kansas City we will not stay in this hotel and will probably try to stay near the Power and Light District vs . West End.

Poorly staffed, the help they have are terrible at handling the public. Norma, breakfast staff is out right rude. When asked a question she looked at me and walked away. Sink in the kitchenette drips told front desk person but never was addressed. The small pool has nasty sediments floating all in it. Hot tub not working, suana not working. Bathrooms at the pool are out if order. The exhauste fan in our bathroom makes an aweful rattling noise. Front desk staff make you feel like you are bothering them for asking questions. The property is dated and in need of an update.

Really gorgeous hotel, you can tell they care about the upkeep and cleanliness for their guests. We stayed only for a night for a wedding, so we didn’t get a chance to partake in the pool or the bar. However, the breakfast was pretty good and had good variety. Would definitely stay here again!

I always enjoy staying here.

I sense they were understaffed so i hope this is taken with a grain of salt. The employees were all delightful and helpful to the extent they were empowered to be. But the room lacked basics...iron, blankets. I am a frequent Embassy Suite guest and this location wasn't up to par.

The staff was all very friendly. The hotel is definitely due for a renovation and update.

Embassy Suites are old properties, and quite outdated, but still elegant. There were serious issues at the pool. Shallow end was dirty, so cloudy couldn't see the bottom. Fencing separating deep pool from shallow pool was broken, rusted , bent. Didnt seem to be any clean water flowing in. But still enjoyed our stay, especially my 7 year old grandson.

The staff was great. Unfortunately though, the room we stayed in had a moldy/musty smelled that hit us the minute we opened the door. The carpet was damp and was lifting up from the floor. I noticed in most of the corners a black substance on the floor/carpet. The curtains had brown/red stains all over them. The pool water was definitely gross. Only one elevator was working most of the time and it was a long wait to get our luggage back to our vehicle. I was bummed out because it wasn’t a cheap stay but Since we were only staying one night and I just tried putting it to the back of my mind. I wish it was a better experience.

Another guest and I were sad laughing about how we chose this hotel because we came as children over 20years ago, but the hotel looks the same today (not in a good way). It is in rough shape with differed maintenance concerns all throughout. Plumbing in room was leaky at the faucet and clogged drains. Mold and mildew present. A few staff were kind, but most seemed to care little. The man making omelets in the morning was extremely rude to several guests. They also had raw bacon sitting on the counter in reaching distance to the guests for over an hour. I will not be back to this location. It was very disappointing to see how rough it is now
1.5
Fun, nice, older-style hotel. I really liked the atmosphere, but our toilet did not flush well and the bathtub had debris coming back up through the drain. I was rather disgusted by this, which seemed more a lack of cleanliness and less a drainage problem, since when the shower head was turned on, everything drained around the filth.
