Excellent hotel and i enjoyed my stay. Nice breakfast, quiet hotel, and good location. The gym was out of order, which is a pity as i was looking forward to my excercise, and no alternative has been provided. Looking forward to my next visit and try the gym

I found the bathroom walls adjacent to sink area stained. Each time - twice - when I called down to front desk to ask for something to be brought to the room it never arrived. I had to get dressed and go down to lobby. Never an apology. The fact that breakfast is not included is un-Italian.

Amazing location across the seaport terminal , lots of restaurants nearby and great central location that is very close to a train station . Hotel is gorgeous , people are amazing and helpful and the best buffet breakfast ever, and the view from our balcony count be beat ! We had the best experience and if we ever come back to Trieste we would only stay here !

This is a beautiful place with lovely rooms which are very clean. The view from the front of the hotel was blocked by a looming cruise ship. Breakfast was lavish but some of the hot food, like the scrambled eggs, just wasn’t hot and some of the baked goods weren’t all that good. The staff at the front desk were mostly helpful and friendly. Overall, I expected a little more.

Everything was very good, which is what you'd expect, given the price and the reputation. However, while I understand the idea that this is a hotel built a century ago and the tradition etc is important, I think having a shower in the bath rather than a separate shower area is a retrograde idea. This is particularly the case if your mobility is poor. In this case it's quite dangerous.

The front desk was very efficient and I was very pleased with my room overlooking the Adriatic. The hotel itself, its decor and broad corridors all are lovely and it reminds me of the good old days of Ciga Hotels, which were known for Italian elegance! Breakfast in the hotel was also nice but there was not enough wait staff and I had to get up each day and find someone to bring me a cappuccino.

This is such a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The location and views of the sea are outstanding. The service was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and roomy with a big bathroom. There were many restaurants nearby and it was an easy walk to the ferries. If you are taking a cruise, the ship ports across the street! So easy to board. Even though the street is busy, the rooms themselves are very quiet. We stayed in a balcony suite on the main road and when the windows are shut it is extremely quiet. Beds are super cozy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful hotel! We stayed 5 days prior to our cruise and loved this hotel. The location is walking distance to everything, bars restaurants and historical sites. The room was comfortable with large bathroom. It is directly across the street from the cruise port, making it very convenient.

A luxurious hotel right by the sea and next to the harbor. Excellent breakfast and the whole staff really friendly. The staff helped with luggage both upon arrival and departure. We had a complimentary bottle of wine waiting in the room but no wine glasses. It took 3 phone calls and an hour's wait to finally get the wine glasses in the room. Overall, the accommodation experience was very pleasant and I can definitely recommend this hotel.

Savoia Excelsior Palace is top notch and so beautiful!! From the moment we walked in on our first day till we left we were treated like royalty. The staff were all respectful, kind and courteous. Whenever we asked any questions at either reception and/or at bell hop, each one took care of our needs. I would definitely go back I would definitely go back and spend more time there.

The hotel was a little tired, but still charming. But we were probably cheated on the parking lot. They said we couldn't get access to the car, but when we searched for "find my car" we saw that it was parked in an area some distance from the hotel. We could certainly have parked there ourselves for a better price.
