The double bed room facing the courtyard was decent inside, but a noisy room. We heard everything going on outside. Everything from other noisy hotel quests to the outside (Nola) tours they bring through the courtyard. The room could have used some better lighting inside. Especially by the front entrance, as you walked into the room, by the closet/full length mirror. The wifi was terrible. Get more wifi hotspots, asap. The bell man who works mornings (I know both on a Friday 12/6 & on Monday 12/9 mornings, but I cannot think of his name unfortunately) is fantastic! Tall, thin, white guy, w/ brownish hair who takes your stuff to your room for you, shows you around, and/or holds your stuff for you, is very, very nice, polite, helpful and respectful. He does his job well & was very nice to me & my guest. He gets 5 stars & a 2 thumbs up rating for me. Job well done, sir. There was one lady unfortunately, who was working the front desk, one morning on (12/9), that was off-putting & unpleasant. Her overall personality & demeanor wasn't very hospitable. Just the opposite actually. Inhospitable. The property, courtyards, and pool are absolutely beautiful. Charming & chill. Fountains had gold fish in them, which I thought was a nice touch. Lots of outdoor seating. I would stay again, but I would need to be on a higher floor next time. Too much noise for us on the bottom level when we were resting.

This is this seasoned travelers 4 time stating on the property. Walk out into Jackson Square. Everything within a 5-16 minute walk. If you can get a room, it is going back in time. Personnel are great and treats everyone with a personal touch.

Wonderful stopover after our Thanksgiving cruise! Although checkin wasn’t until 4:00, the staff let us park at 10:30am and locked up our luggage until the rooms were ready. We were actually able to get into our rooms at 1:00 pm! Our rooms were comfortable, updated, and nicely appointed. The entire staff was pleasant and courteous, it was a great experience.

2 nights in NOLA was directly located in French quarter pretty much park your car and enjoy plenty to do 2 block walk in either direction

We stayed from Saturday to Tuesday, and every one of the staff memebers we so friendly, helpful and accommodating. This was our fist stay at Place d'Armes and have decided that this will be out GO-TO for our next trip. Our absolute favorite stay in NOLA to date.

This place is one of the best places I have ever stayed! The room was huge and so quiet I slept like a baby! Every amenity was provided! Including a lovely pool. The staff were so wonderful! The front desk person, Patrice, went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! So much fun!

My family and i stayed here for 1 night because we were leaving for a cruise the next day, and i would definitely come back. We love that it had the new orleans effect, and that everything was in walking distance. Also liked that their was parking versus trying to find parking. The staff was all very welcoming and friendly which is always great! Also we were only about 10 minute drive to the carnival port. Again definitely will make reservations for here.

This hotel had everything I was looking for in a French Quarter hotel: History and charm, great location, secure on site parking, and an outdoor pool and courtyard. The courtyard and pool was quiet, calm and beautiful and you'd forget you were just steps away from all the excitement of NOLA. We stayed in a spacious Junior Suite that was clean and well appointed with numerous charging stations for phones, great lighting and an amazing rainfall shower. All of the staff was helpful and friendly and the price was very reasonable. The summers are hot in New Orleans and I am happy to say that the AC was so cold in our room, we had to turn it up to keep from freezing.

We reserved 2 rooms for 2 couples. Our room was clean, pretty, very comfortable and we loved it. However, the other couple complained that their TV didn't work and the air conditioner was loud. They called for service and they were unable to repair the TV. I don't know what else was discussed but if I had been them I would have requested another room. the other couple was my brother and sister in law from Peru and he was asking for some sort of refund for which I have to contact the manager for. I will do that in a day or two. Our room was great! clean, beautiful LOVED IT!

Very enjoyable experience. The hotel grounds are spectacular, very New Orleans. The pool was nice and clean. Valet parking was fabulous and easy, they were also able to store our bags and keep the parking past checkout to explore the city which was very convenient. The night staff during check in was a little disorganized but still very friendly, and the morning and afternoon staff were spectacular. The hotel was quiet, although it was off season so take that with a grain of salt. The room itself was definitely old, but seemed to be cared for. The room had a bit of an old basement smell and the floors were a bit damp, but was overall clean and the curtains blocked the light out nicely. The beds were fine to sleep in, comfortable pillows. Overall a nice stay and enjoyable experience.
