Not good.
Lift was not working.
Parking is over charging.
Not clean.
Bed is not good.
Overall not a good experience

Although a bit disappointed at first (the hotel is not as the photos suggest in a castle, but next to it, with an internal corridor to it) we had a pleasant stay.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, room a little small and outdated (who uses ISDN in 2024?). Breakfast was served in a big "ballroom" of the castle and was very good.
Also tried the pool, not that big but good for a short swim.
Close to the city although one night we had to walk a big detour as the main road was closed for a musical event.

Would stay again. Just needed fans or the ability to keep the windows open all night without bugs or mosquitoes. So a screen and the window opening from the top. Being on the bottom floor with the walking path by our window made it uneasy to keep the window open at night to cool off, that with people and bugs.

Lovely property at Schloss garden.
4.2
Very clean and comfortable hotel
Breakfast buffet was ok. Food was partly cold otherwise ok
4.2
The Breakfast was amazing! The location is absolutely amazing. The hotel itself was a bit dated but still good
4.2
Reeceptionist is the only staff I see. Friendly.
The hotel is typical, soulless and commercial.
Claustrophobic design with long carpeted hallways. Capacity is prioritized over comfort. Lighting and sounds in pool area hectic. The spa is clean but badly designed.
The sheets and towels are nice: white, clean cotton.
4.2
Fantastic location near a beatiful castle. The breakfast room was the most incredible and beautiful ever seen .
4.2
We booked the hotel based on the pictures available. However turned out, that the nice looking old buildings are for conferences and restaurant only. The actual hotel is an older building and our rooms were two floors below ground, which felt like living in a basement. The rooms itself were fine, but overall felt like a disappointment.
4.2
The WI-FI connection did not work and the we couldn’t get 4G at our phones at the room.
The nice garden is been renewed so we missed the normal beautiful view at the garden.
But at good place to sleep when traveling and Fulda is at great city.
4.2
The room, the beds and bedding were amazing. The atmosphere, the service, and the food at the restaurant were the best that we had on our 4 week vacation.
4.2
Pictures are missleading, its not that nice that it looks like but still good
4.2
Open 24 hours. Nice clean rooms and a perfect breakfast. Very nice surroundings.
4.2
The breakfast room and Diana restaurant was very nice settings. The view from our room was not as pleasing - glad we had one on the 3rd floor or we had to look into strange fences. The room with had comfortable beds. Absolutely a return!
4.2
The stay in Fulda was great. the Hotel is very clean and furnished in an antique style. The hotel is in very close proximity to the castle but the view wasnt amazing as on the picture.
4.2
The creation of a new hotel inside the perimeter of the old castle was elegently done. The breakfast and spectacular old room was amazing
4.2
Staff was very friendly. Great location, great breakfast. Very nice rooms and restaurant. Unfortunately now snaks or food in the fridge. Overall I will definitely recommend this property.
4.2
A bit dated hotel, but very friendly staff and good value for money. Excellent breakfast.
4.2
The hotel was very comfortable, in an amazing location next to the beautiful Schloss gardens. Their restaurants had wonderful, if a bit pricey, meals.
4.2
Comfortable rooms but dated (as most other German hotel chains outside major cities). Wonderful breakfast in beautiful breakfast room. Conveniently located but parking expensive (€15/day)

After a full day of driving we arrived at 20.30 to the hotel only to find out that they were overbooked and that they had booked us at another hotel in the city. This other hotel was at lower standard (3* compared with 4* and no pool) but we were assured that we didnt have to pay for the higher rate (!), thank you very much. I still dont understand why the hotel couldnt have called me during the day letting me know about the overbooking, total lack of customer focus.

This is the second time we stayed here & really enjoyed it, the staff are friendly & the location is great. The room is comfortable & will stay here again
4.2
Great location in the middle of the city.
No air conditioning in the room.

We were in Fulda for a family wedding. The location was perfect - right in the heart of the old city. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had a baby and stroller with us. It would have been better if an elevator was present to the lower levels.
4.2
The „historic“ part of the hotel is quite impressive. Our bedroom was in the „modern“ part of the complex. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
4.2
The hotel didnt have air conditioning and rooms were very hot and uncomfortable The hotel supplied a fan winch wasnt enough The beds were not comfortable
4.2
Ill start with the good, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Now for the rest:The property felt a bit worn overall. When we arrived the elevator was malfunctioning so we had to carry our luggage to the top floor. The room was incredibly warm and, as with many hotels in Germany, there was no air conditioning and it took keeping the balcony door open to cool it down. Additionally, the rooms furnishings felt a bit shabby, and there werent enough power outlets near the bed for us to plug in things such as our phones while also keeping the bedside lamps plugged in. The bed was not at all comfortable.Perhaps the worst individual thing about the hotel, however, was the hotels WiFi. It was perhaps the worst out of the different places in Germany we went this trip - the free WiFi was barely useable and limited to three devices that all used the name of the person who reserved the room and the room number to authenticate. My partner and I kept kicking each other off the WiFi because if our phones went to sleep for even a few moments they would disassociate and it appeared the hotels systems werent good enough to keep track of if an individual device had just reconnected or if it was a new device entirely. Finally, the booking image you see is NOT of the hotel itself, but rather of the hotels restaurant. The hotel itself is adjacent (connected by a long hallway) and is very much of the time it was built (likely sometime in the 1990s).

Got a dark room with no air in the basement. Not clear information on the booking site which room you get when you book through Expedia

Charm and location to parks and shopping. Very quiet and clean.
4.2
We only stayed overnight but liked the location and the cleanliness. The buffet looked extensive but we had other plans.
4.2
The location was amazing. A clean hotel with friendly staff right in the heart of the city.

A friend recommended us the restaurant of the hotel so we started our trip in Fulda at the Maritim Hotel. The gardens are great. The main building is also beautiful, use for banquets. But the rooms are located on a side area, so you don`t really sleep in the ancient building. The restaurant is located in the basement, a real cavern, very nice. No wifi there. The food is just good. The staff is very kind, not very good english spoken.
I wish the staff had told us about the walking tours offered by the tourist information office to visit the city. By the time we found out about the guided tours, the office had closed and we miss the explanation of the city. Which is beautiful. Much more than we expected.
The Cathedral very interesting. The Michaelskirche is unique, beautiful. Couldn`t visit the episcopal Palace. Very much to see.

Spending five nights at the Maritim enhanced our trip to Germany. The location of the hotel in the center of Fulda was lovely with the beautiful gardens and quiet view off the balcony very peaceful. The convenience of the parking on site made our daily outings much easier. Being within walking distance to the center of historic Fulda really pleasant.
The cleaning staff was very considerate of our needs.
The design of the room with a entry/storage/bath all able to be closed off from the sleeping quarters made my habit of early rising much more palatable for my companion. Even though there was a major wedding on Saturday night, I heard no noise because of the room design.
However, the male desk clerks have not had sensitivity training on dealing with women. When "Herr Doctor, Professor Whomever" interrupted my discussion with the clerk, I suddenly disappeared from the mix until "Herr Doctor" was satisfied. This is unacceptable in this day and age. Not surprisingly, the women on the desk were always helpful and pleasant.
Likewise I found the breakfast setup most confusing. While the setting is elegant, locating the various offerings of grain, meat, fruits and vegetables was a challenge. I felt like a "hunter/gatherer" as I tried to find my choices. Each morning things had been rearranged, so whatever I had learned the day before was of no use. The other guests seemed to be equally confused

Hotel needs a makeover. Especially the fact that there is no airconditioning.

Hotel was fine. Location was beautiful and staff was friendly, but none of that is of any value if the hotel is going to double bill it's patrons (once on expedia and once at the time of check out).
I am trying to get a refund from the hotel.
If I do then I will change the rating.

A modern hotel but with a Baroque Orangery as its breakfast room, and a view across the gardens to the Schloss. It was also a conference venue but for small, discreet groups. We were sad to leave.
