Very comfortable room. They have a nice tavern on the property. One thing I missed was free breakfast items. It would have been nice to have yogurt toast and things

I stayed here with our daughter for an overnight - it was the perfect mid-way point for us and very convenient for the activities we had planned. The hotel was great! There are plenty of food options both on site and in the immediate area. We had dinner at Mercato’s “downtown” and it was sooo good! We visited Aquila’s Nest Vineyard, which I highly recommend! It’s a beautiful spot on top of a hill with great wine and lots of seating options, including private cabanas you can rent. We also went to Elephants Trunk flea market (not as good as I’d hoped) and Guy Wolff pottery, again, a must visit! We met Guy and his son and spent way more time there than we planned because of their more than warm welcome, great stories and hospitality! We ended our stay in Bantam with lunch at Arethusa a Mano and dessert across the street at their dairy bar. Their homemade ice cream is the best I’ve ever had (and I grew up with a very popular farm with homemade ice cream in my town!) Southbury and the surrounding towns are beautiful and worth the ride…and we did our visit skirting the rain!

It was a place to sleep after a 600 mile run.

Staff unfriendly. Bad food for breakfast .

We booked a King size room and at check in were told that they didn’t have anymore left and Hotels.com doesn’t properly reflect their inventory. There was also an incessant pounding sound during our entire stay that was incredibly annoying and kept us awake at night. Lots of stains on the carpet as well. However, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable.

Getting tired and a little smelly but lovely friendly staff and great food.

The Heritage Hotel is my favorite place to stay in the area - the amenities are top shelf, the service excellent, and the hotel itself is well-decorated, inviting, and comfortable. The work-out facilities are beyond comparison to any other hotel I've stayed at - they include a large weight and fitness room, two pools, indoor and outdoor, sauna, steam room - and the rustic decor adds to the experience. The grounds are also well-cared for and there is a superb cafe within walking distance. This is a place unlike any other hotel experience. It is unique and a rare gem.

Our stay at Heritage Hotel went well and was affordable enough. Not the cheapest around, and not the most expensive - budget friendly for the quality. My family and I loved the salt water pool and enjoyed the workout center. Will definitely stay here again.

On a few different occasions I waited at the front desk for a long time...one time no one ever showed up. I was waiting for 10 minutes or more.
The restaurant has gone down hill. The food was just ok and the seating in there is not very comfortable.
I have stayed there numerous times and this time was probably the worst experience.

Property was nice and kept very clean and orderly. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and the room was keeping the sound out from the orher guests nicely. If I had to add one item to the room it would be a docking station to charge a cellphone right next to the bed. Place was nice overall.

Not the common destination for a holiday but we were visiting our daughter working in the area. The hotel appears to be busy with seminars during the week and weddings at the weekend so is always busy with people. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the food in the Tavern is truly excellent all round, but the burger's and meatloaf in particular I would suggest. There is a good size gym and pool. The poolbar is open Thur-Sat (I think) and there is a few things to do with kids around the pool. We used it as a base to go around Connecticut and travel to Salem.

AC was cooling the room, but was not dehumidifing the inside air. Room was OK.

They gave me a room where they knew the air conditioning did not work. I complained; the man promised to send an engineer to fix it. No one ever came.

My friend and I wanted to be next to each other and they were able to accommodate us. Customer service was good, no complains there. The rooms are small, including the beds. The rooms were in the area I guess where the room service is and the electrical room as well and early in the morning there was constant noises. I notice there was dust behind the dresser where the tv stands. I had a problem with one of the lights in the room which they send someone to fix it in a short period of time. Water pressure in the bathroom was good. The hotel is big. Pool only open until 8pm, the bar by the pool only opens until 5-6pm. The hotel also has an indoor pool and hot tub but we didn’t get to use. Overall the place was good and the guess as well as the staff were friendly.

The room was very nice, It was clean and attractive. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was roomy. They supplied hand body lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. However, there was just one bar of soap to share at the sink and in the tub areas.
Upon entering the hotel at check in, the attendant was not unpleasant, but not very welcoming either. He did not inform me of the $50.00 fee they place on your bill for incidentals, I found that out at check out. The young woman at checkout informed me of that and reassured me that the fee that was placed on my credit card would be removed in a few days. She was very pleasant and helpful.
I was disappointed in the breakfast offering. As in most places, it was a buffet, but this place charges $16.00 + for it. That is fine, but in better upscale hotels, they have a restaurant area that offers a menu and table service. So, we left without breakfast! All in all, the hotel was nice, but somewhat disappointing.

Beautiful lanscaping, its pet friendly, inside is dated rugs could use freshening up.

No microwave in room, only available in the front by desk. Place is dated, pools are not heated at all, employees are rude and don’t acknowledge their guest presence.

Outdoor pool is very nice.
Outside bar and food service stops at 6 pm - not ideal.
Rooms and hotel in general are outdated.

Wood and beam type structure- clean and everyone was super nice. Clean rooms. Good food in the tavern.

After coming here for many years and loving the swimming pool and hot tub, we found the new restrictions on those to be totally restrictive to our schedules. Also, access to early morning coffee was “hidden” on the bottom floor with signage that doesn’t help. Front desk help was mixed. Other than that the place looks good

Rooms are updated. Nice property and great for big events but the lodging needs updating.

Perfect stay

Great location, near the center of town. Staff was helpful & accommodating. We even received an upgrade when we checked in. While there, they were servicing the fire alarm system, but it was during the day (very noisy). The Hetitage is an aging property (been there since the 70s I think). Some of the furniture is worn. But, beds were comfortable, rooms were spotless & they make the most of a lovely setting. Nice fluffy towels! Outdoor Pool area was being readied for Memorial Day, so it wasn’t opened yet. Looked beautiful. Sorry to miss that. Definetly stay there our next visit. Best in the area, good value for the cost. Nice bar/tavern on the property. Food was decent, prices fair, staff friendly.

A very nice and relaxing stay, there's so much to do on the property though I only stayed for one night. I got to enjoy the breakfast buffet and the indoor pool. I will definitely be back to stay for a couple of nights to get the full experience. For a place that's so beautiful and peaceful the price was very affordable.

So old place

Had a wonderful time

It wasn’t terrible. The building was supposed to be an old apartment building I guess. Rooms were a little small. The is outdated but cool at the same time. There was a wedding going on while we were there. The courtyard and grounds did make for nice pictures. Check in was easy. Place was clean but outdated. Heat/AC worked just fine. Beds were decent but I like pillows so I had to ask for extra.

Not kid friendly. 2nd stay within a month and just awful. Will not go back. TV worked here and there, thermostat wasn’t working so the room was very hot, super noisy because of a group, and one of the beds was broken and squeezed so loudly it woke everyone up every time someone moved. Staff seemed unbothered by the issues - did check on the noise complaint however the group settled around 11:1pm just to resume again well after midnight.
