I was already there and the hotel is great for accommodations, breakfast and Dî’er possibilities. Price is very attractive and beds are good.

Dirty, poor condition and generally very unhygienic. Had to leave early.

Friendly helpful staff, good selection for breakfast. Good sized room with nice long bath. Bathroom let down by cracked sink and hot/cold on bath labelled wrong way.

Avoid at all costs

Was very nice nice, perfect for what we were looking for.

Check in late evening room was atrocious with mould raw sewage smell from bathroom and stained bath with limescale.
Dirty carpet unbelievable.
Complained another two rooms shown next to each other on same floor exactly same.
Manager blamed house keeping but I’m sorry this is the worst I love ever seen in hotel being a frequent business traveller using hotels every month.
Taken plenty of videos and pictures. Not only we were tired travelling over 100 miles we had no option but to book another available hotel in Holiday Inn 26 miles away.
We were tired drained. I want a refund and did phone the hotel who have advised to contact hotel.com. I have with no reply. The description on hotel. Com is completely false. I would not even house a pet in the rooms.
The hotel needs to be checked by the authorities as this is not acceptable and takes a lot for me to complain.

NOT WORTH THE £110 PER NIGHT!! Really old and outdated property. The fixtures and fittings in the room are either not working properly, or at all. They are also incredibly old and dirty, you can tell they haven't been cleaned or attempted to be cleaned. The bathroom is very outdated and sink was cracked, there are no mixer taps so the water was really hot to the point you would get scalded so you couldn't use it instead I had to fill up the basin n ox on cold water. The cold water tap was disgusting l, black stuff when you touch the underside with paper or anything. The shower was very weak although able to get a good temperature it wasn't enough pressure to reach you properly and was very awkward. The towels are not nice and overall I didn't feel clean after a shower. The beds are ok but very itchy I was worried it was bed bugs but could also be a very cheap detergent or cleaner they use when washing sheets etc. We had a 10 month old and it wasn't safe for him, the radiator in the room had no cover on the valves and it was dangerous also there were 2 other mobile electric radiators not sure why. The kettle was disgusting had alot of scale build up. Won't use again.

Nice approach plenty of parking. Reception good, breakfast good. Room a bit tired.

Hotel served its purpose, but needs a bit of updating. The rooms and the communal areas are a bit tired. We had great service from everyone we interacted with.

On arriving at the Mercure Bankfield Hotel, Bradford on Saturday 31 August, we found the toilets dirty and without toilet paper so we cancelled our reservation with the manager’s agreement that the hotel quality was substandard and not fit for our purpose. They said our £186.91 payment made to Expedia Hotels for two nights bed and breakfast on 27 August from my Santander debit account would be refunded. So far it hasn’t been.

The gentleman on reception did amazing job working under very difficult conditions
3.0
In need of renovation, very tired decor. Walls are very thin, lots of noise from the corridor.
2.5
Lovely hotel and grounds although could be doing with being upgraded. Still very comfortable and clean. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the grounds as we were travelling with dogs. Lots of car parking even though there was a wedding on.

Check in time is anytime after 3 o’clock, we arrived at 5 and was told our room wasn’t ready after driving nearly 4 hours to get here. No apology from the girl on reception all she said was ‘it isn’t my problem.’ Rude staff, basic rooms, won’t be returning when I come to Bradford to visit family as they obviously prioritise people who pay money upfront to stay here.
2.0
Nice hotel at a good price. Only downside was room was above a service bay for the hotel so some noise until late on. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Bingley/Saltaire so shops/amenities close by. Usual shops near by Sainsburys/Tescos and Greggs.

Very unclean. Toilet and bath tube were very dirty, sink cracked. Bathroom tiles unclean. Brown marks around wall. Lamp had bulb missing. Only 2 packets of tea. Iron board cover coming off.
The room made me feel sick.
Not fit for families.

We have stayed a few times when visiting family, the hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. Mould in bathrooms, poor condition in rooms and stained.
Staff friendly and helpful. Not sure we will stay again though.

Was a business trip and as such the room was basic with a musty smell and old style bath room.
Bed was clean and comfortable.
Due to the musty smell the room would not be suitable for those with any breathing conditions.
The evening meal was acceptable but no table service in a room set out for restaurant style dining.
1.5
Reception and breakfast staff were helpful. Room had not been vacuum cleaned properly and there were crumbs and other small bits of rubbish on the floor in bedroom. Sheets and surfaces were clean. Only 2 sets of towels provided although 2 adults and a children check in details. Tv cable was not working so no tv channels which help to distract kids in the morning. Informed reception on check out.

It was ok

The property is looking very tired verging on tatty, and in need of maintenance and updating. The hot water was dangerously hot and could easily cause a burn.
2.5
Great value for money but a little basic, staff very helpful and breakfast good room was dated.
1.5
The place is really tired. You wouldn't have thought it from the outside and for Mercure. Reception looks great and historic. But to get to our room several creaky staircase, filthy old carpets, on creaky floorboards. Passageway smells really badly of damp and the rooms were on par with a really old travelodge. The place a lot of investment

Tarty hotel dirty

Pretty basic but nice building that’s a little tired but good value overall
4.0
A straightforward hotel experience with a satisfactory overall experience. Clean apart from a black pube left on the bath tub.

Convenient for visiting Bingley
Everything was OK, but compared to previous visits the hotel is looking a bit tired - is it time for for an upgrade?
2.0
Lots of positives - great reception staff, well priced room, safe, comfortable and close to nice local range of small restaurants and shops. What was disappointing was that I had requested in advance, a room without feathers in the bedding as I am allergic to feathers and received an email confirming this would be arranged. However, when I checked the room on arrival, one of the pillows had feathers in it. Requests, made well in advance concerning allergies, should be carefully checked that staff meet these.
