We had a great stay but the bed was not right for us. Enjoyed the Olympic dining in the evening and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Old but quaint hotel had 2 nights booked extended to 3 with the very helpful friendly reception staff. Very friendly & relaxed atmosphere great to see it busy had DB&B at a great price last night & the old dinning room was full. Basic British fare not really our taste but ideal for the coach trip in. Would stay again when revisit great value for money.

Good Stay but rooms could do with updating especially the bathroom.
Restaurant food was very good. friendly staff would recommend a stay.

Room a bit dated but comfortable. Hotel itself decent. Staff brilliant, breakfast superb. For the price we paid really good value. The Olympic room was impressive.

The public rooms are atmospheric and well maintained however bedroom was tired but the bathroom needed attention. Customer service could be improved

The room 209 was modern small , however there was an almightly stench from the drains, not able to move rooms due to a wedding, had to stay one night but cancelled the rest of the stay, staff tried their hardest to be accommodating and arranged a refund. The hotel and food was of a good standard otherwise. Shame about the room.

The Inn was well situated especially for the castle, room was spacious, warm and well appointed. Shower was excellent, toiletries were pleasantly scented. It would be hard to beat the setting for breakfast in the SS Olympic suite. Staff were helpful and well informed. Would stay again.

All the reception, bar and restaurant was amazing, such a lovely old building, however the rooms are very dated and could be cleaner, the windows are black around the frame, especially in bathroom, the shower curtain was still wet and yellow round bottom,so hadn't been changed,it all just needs a good clean.i dont mind old,but keep it clean

The hotel was just as described and you can see why its a 3 star. Our room 123 was an executive room but quite tired. Needs a spruce up to make it worth the money. Bed was very comfortable though nice clean sheets always good.
Olympic suite was impressive amd we had breakfast on the plinth at the back first morning very nice.

Hotel is nice my only negative is that they don’t except cash anywhere in the hotel not at checkout not in restaurant and not even in the bar.
We had a family room on the top floor which was big bright & spacious shower was very good plenty hot water. We had bottles of water biscuits tea coffee milk kettle ironing board.
Couldn’t fault our room.
Breakfast was excellent lots of cereals yogurts fresh fruits etc plus the usual bacon eggs sausage etc.

Loved we could take our dog, the room was down a lovely path to the back of the hotel on the groundfloor. Table and chairs outside so we could sit and have a drink in the sunshine. Friendly staff could not do enough. Free parking behind hotel overall loved our visit.

Breakfast was nice but just warm

Worth staying there for the dining room alone. Although the hotel said it had car parking, there were very few spaces and the majority of guests parked in a free public car park behind the hotel. However, you could only park for 24 hours and couldn't return within 4 hours.

The hotel is a traditional hotel but rooms were spotless, dining room was amazing and staff were lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to return

Could do with a luggage storage facility and room window badly cracked , garden area could do with a tidy up

I stayed here to see the Olympic interior.
Very interesting. The only downside was no lifts and lots of steps.
The rooms at the rear are the best ones to book.
Probably could do with a re-vamp and a bit of colour in the rooms.
Please change those blinds in the upstairs rooms 😂
I would stay again in tge rooms at the back with a nice outside area 👍

No car parking facilities
The room was too hot

The bathroom had urine stains on the toilet seat and the sink and plug hole need to be replaced

Nice hotel, but rooms could do with an update. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, but some of it was cold due to the method of serving it. Beautiful dining room reclaimed from the Olympic, sister ship of the Titanic. Free parking either at the hotel or car park nearby. Alnwick itself is a beautiful old market town.

This is a historic hotel with a 1930's style but cleverly made over to incorporate most modern facilities and everything is very clean and functional. The staff are friendly and helpful. A star feature installed in the hotel is the ex- RMS Olympic (ref. Titanic) dining room, which is where guest breakfast is served as well as dinner. It complements the feel of the place really well. The breakfast buffet is unpretentious but good with full English self-service. We booked only one night but our stay will be memorable for all the right reasons.

There's no lift in the hotel and it is a labyrinth of stairs and corridors: not recommended for people with mobility issues.
Our twin room accommodation was OK, however the mattresses and pillows were squeaky and lumpy (hair on one of the pillows protective cover☹️).
Access to the hotel carpark at the rear is awkward and places are limited.
Self service breakfast was adequate.

This is a gem of a hotel. Room excellent, tasteful decor. Bed and pillows fabulous. Overlooks castle. Staff super efficient. Thank you to the lovely receptionist who explained car parking discs! Affordable fine dining with room decor from the Olympic an additional bonus. Free parking included. What's not to like.

Nice clean and comfortable room, nice touches. Check in went smoothly. Only problem was the communication between the reception and the restaurant. Would recommend !!

Good location and comfortable

Really nice main hotel. Room was tatty in places eg dated bathroom. Have to have breakfast in the bar area because of dogs but a menu in the table would be advised so you can see what there is to choose from. Also for breakfast, juice could be provided on the bar rather than having to go to the dining area for this. On a positive, the staff were friendly and even brought the dogs a sausage for breakfast. Also there is a nice little garden area for the dogs to go and do their buisness.
The radiators in the hallway made an horrific noise late into the night and customer services had to be called. This happened again at 6am waking us so not a very good nights sleep!
So much potential with a few tweaks made.

Ideal location, room was clean but a bit dark. Really good breakfast most mornings, not able to book an evening meal as they said they were fully booked although we only saw 8 people in the restaurant. Plenty of other places to eat in Alnwick luckily.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room but hot water is very hot!

Most interesting building with lots of history. Excellent service. Parking limited. Varied menu. Lovely friendly helpful staff.
