Park Hyatt is a nice place to get away and relax. The staff is good, they know how to make someone feel welcome and the grounds are spectacular.

There were a few things that could have been better but I think the start of the trip put a bad taste in our mouth. My husband showed up and didn’t have a DL but had a state issued document while he waited for his DL. The hotel gave him a hard time even though he showed a picture of his DL.

Positives: Large suite with comfortable bed and modern furniture. Excellent spa service and facilities. Enjoyed the salsa-making and yoga classes. Fun game room for kids.
Negatives: Non-adult pool was dirty and crowded. The bathroom floors in our room were always sticky and not clean. The blond older woman who was at the hostess stand at breakfast was not accommodating to larger groups and refused to allow us to combine two tables of four people even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The breakfast was ok, but not a lot of variety.

Super friendly service.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and had a wonderful experience - it was my favorite hotel in the San Diego area. However, this 4th of July weekend stay was just not up to par. The staff seemed overrun and unprepared for the amount of guests staying. I called ahead and asked for a crib to be delivered to our room and then I had to call twice once I got there to remind them to deliver it. I also asked for nonfeather pillows due to an allergy and housekeeping did not switch out the pillows (I realized this after suffering from allergies for two nights). The pool had no towels and no available chairs when we arrived at 9am (people were waking up early to save chairs). I had to ask the front desk to look into how the pool ran out of towels (an employee at the pool just said that housekeeping will bring them when they bring them). The pool bathrooms were gross very early in the am which led me to believe they hadn't been cleaned at all. Waitstaff forgot parts of our food orders and still charged for the food. For over $650 - over $1,000 per night, the services provided were just not up to par and not in line with what the hotel service was like in the past. I saw that the employees were doing their best but something just seemed off.

Beautiful natural setting, polite& helpful staff members, wonderful cleanliness standards throughout the resort made it a first class experience for me.

Great staff, clean property and really well maintained

I would give this 5 star property 3 stars. There’s really nothing special about it. We had multiple issues checking in that should have required a manager to speak with us, instead the young ladies at the front had to fix the main issue. One of the restaurants had terrible service and decent food. The bed and main room were very clean. The bathroom could use a fresh look or deep cleaning. The hallways had overflowing trash in the trash cans multiple days. The slide hours don’t match what the hours online state. The pool could also have been cleaned better. I’m assuming it was the same bandage in the pool for 2 days. The views and the exterior of the property are beautiful. All in all not worth the price to stay here. Look elsewhere.

Great place

Beautiful hotel with all the amenities you could want. Staff was lovely and very Informative. The food was OK. They could do better with room service menu. This hotel was very dog friendly. There were literally dogs everywhere so if you don’t like dogs, this probably wouldn’t be the place for you. A guest even had their dog running around the pool off leash. The dog started to follow myself and my kids. Not cool (wasn’t friendly) and I love dogs!

The check in process was the only positive thing about this hotel. We had originally planned to stay here for 5 nights, but after the first night we checked out.
I found someone’s shareware hung over the shower, hair in the bathtub, so I assume the bathroom was not cleaned at all after the last quests had been there. One of the beds did not have a sheet fully covering the mattress, which was disgusting to see.
I also got woken up around 9:30 or 10:00 PM by people yelling and slamming the door next to us. This went on for about an hour and when I called the front desk they told me it was because someone had just checked in next to us. The next morning when I looked at the door, it wasn’t for a guest room. I asked one of the staff members what the room was and he said it’s for the hotel staff.
I asked for a refund from hotels.com and they were able to get that back for me. We were able to find another hotel, which saved our trip.

The hotel is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond.

Elegant property , 5 star rooms and pool area, excellent dining and beautiful staff take care of you and provide sweeping views of the ocean. loved it!
4.7
The hotel is very nice and great location. The things I did not like was the sleeping conditions. The pillows were really uncomfortable. The bed had lights that turn on for a long time if anyone gets up lighting up the whole room. The smoke detector lit up the whole room. I just did not sleep well the whole time. The food at the hotel was fabulous. Service was great.

Everything is great except for expensive daily valet parking fee of $65 in addition to resort fee of $45

Wow, absolutely beautiful hotel, excellent staff, great food. You cannot go wrong here.

The Hyatt is great but they need to change the animal policy. I felt like i was at a dog park when in the courtyard. One couple had 2 dogs and one of them was barking out by the fire pits. People please leave you dogs at home.

The property is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the foothills and even ocean views. Located in a beautiful area of executive homes. Located directly on the Aviara Golf Course.
The rooms are very nice, with comfy beds and luxurious bathrooms.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Close to shopping and restaurants and also to the beach. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Valet was terrific and very friendly. The servers inside the Ponto restaurant were also great. Housekeeping was spot on too. Adult Pool was terrific. Had to hustle the server down to order drinks at the pool, but there were plenty of friendly staff members who were customer-focused. Shuttle driver down to the lawn for the Grease Movie was also friendly and overall the resort is very service oriented. 5 Stars for all Staff except for Cocktail server at the pool who was nice, but did not approach us at all to take our order at either pool. Towel staff was also great. Top Golf was a blast for our teens. The Churros at the Ponto restaurant were amazing. Best I’ve ever had. Overall terrific stay but if you want a really quiet stay, look elsewhere as this hotel is full of young children who are well behaved but loud just because they are little. :)

Great resort.

It is a beautiful hotel with poor customer service.

everything from the second we arrived to the second we left was perfect!

Absolutely loved staying here during our time in San Diego. Beautiful property inside and outside. Conveniently located to restaurants and activities for those with a car. My only issue was the parking. It seemed that valet as the only option and an expensive one.
4.7
Staff was amazing! Extremely clean and beautiful!

Beautiful property. Great Service. Great Housekeeping! Pool service from Garret was amazing.
Please focus efforts on FFE and overall maintenance of the buildings. It’s starting to wear in areas. Public space needs painting and outdoor cushions need to be replaced.
I would definitely stay there again!
4.7
This property was outstanding for kids, plenty of activities and dining options with a very welcoming and helpful staff.
4.7
Great place, wish their gym and spa was properly functioning.
4.7
the price is exaggerated for the location unless of course u play golf. charging extra for spa facilities such as sauna and steam room is absurd. overrated to say the least
4.7
I spent $1000 for a pool view but they only gave me a room can barely see the pool. And at the first we were are the front desk waiting for a long time to see the front desk people come back to their desk to check in. The room is very small too. Very disappointed.
4.7
The property itself is very clean and the suite is spacious. However there was a large group there and they were so loud and partying at night and it made it very hard to enjoy our stay with little kids. Every night we’d hear noise at 10pm and told the front desk but there wasn’t much they could do about it.
4.7
We had a great time with our son. The entire staff was top tier!
We loved the grounds and food was excellent. We will be back!!
4.7
The suite did not have a King sized bed. The sinks had backed up drains constantly. No extra pillows for the bed. Mattress was lumpy. The noise from the AC at night does not allow for a good nights sleep.Rust on the floors under each bathroom sink. The suite and hotel rooms need complete makeovers. Even the toilets need to be replaced!
4.7
Stayed for my birthday celebration. Staff is extremely nice and attentive. Wish pool staff would police the patrons a bit more. We overheard many people talking about getting access to the pool but weren't staying at the hotel. They apparently just piggybacked off one family member's reservation. Should introduce wristbands to keep the headcount low for big holidays like the 4th of July.
