Surprisingly a great hotel tucked away in a quiet area of houses.

The staff are very friendly, the hotel is quiet and peaceful, twice had steak, a bit tough for the price, the rest of the menu is good

Lovely, lovely hotel. Very wa as it snowed outside. You could put the heating up to 30°C which is amazing, felt lovely and toasty.
Breakfast was a wonderful buffet, filled me up well into lunch.
Sauna fantastic. Went everyday of my stay.
Location, it's close to an Aldi and a large Tesco.

What a fabulous hotel. Friendly staff, great amenities and great location. First morning we were let down by the water pressure but were offered another room to shower in until it was fixed. The hotel work force had it fixed by lunchtime.
Food at the hotel was outstanding and generous, it was surprisingly affordable for the standard of food.

It was a lovely stay. Disappointed at the small pool and spa but other than that the staff on reception when we arrived was brilliant and very helpful. Really appreciated her. The food was gorgeous. A lovely stay

Disappointed with this hotel. The bedroom was very small compared to what I saw on the site and found my bathroom was hard work with cold water basin tap running very slow and little flow, basin pop up waste did not pop up and the shower screen on the bath was as they always are, extremely poor, and leaked water when showering and which is worse when you are not left a bath mat for treading on when getting out of the bath shower also no rubber non slip mat, and yes I could have gone back to reception and asked but it was such a trek from my room 119, I just couldn't face it.
The Park Grill was nice and the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, the food was nice and very filling and with a discount voucher very good value.
Breakfast was nothing different from any other buffet hotel setup but the food was okay to start the day with good choice.
Would I stay again, probably as I did like the bedroom, very well lit which helps me as I struggle with poor lighting in most hotels even if small but do think I could get a better value somewhere close by.
Did not see the spa or gym, maybe next time.

The hotel was very fancy on the outside and at first glance but under the surface was mediocre at best. Rooms were not 4 star quality, dust on all skirting boards etc, massive bag of rubbish left outside our door all evening, weird smell in the coridoors (not just where bag was left), restaurant is very limited especially if vegan and the food was sub par.

Nice hotel, good sized room and walkable distance from town

It was enjoyable. The first night was very noisy in the only bar as there was a private party playing Asian music, it was just disappointing there was no alternative bar to sit in

We visited as part of our golden wedding celebrations and the staff had dressed our room beautifully and there was a glass of bubbly for us to enjoy!

Bed was very comfy and i normally struggle with beds so this was a big plus for me. And plenty of lights. Many hotels have such bad lighting and strugle for light to do makeup. But was happy that there was plenty of lights and a good main light

This hotel is in a perfect location. We have stayed a few times in past year or so and this time we enjoyed a meal in the new Park Grill
Delicious food would highly recommend it.

Definitely not the luxury stay we were expecting despite the hotel looking so pretty on arrival. We needed a fridge to store food so paid the extra for a family room. It was pretty shabby, bathroom needed a refurb, really dirty headboard on the bed, big black marks on net curtains, leaves on floor. No soap in the bathroom or vanity products and only one tiny shampoo and body wash. No bottled water in the room. The fridge didn't even work and the duty manager tried to persuade us it was working when clearly it wasn't. Eventually he said we could put the food in the hotel kitchen. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was nice if you wanted a cooked buffet, but not the variety or selection or service we expected from this type of hotel. You also have to take a receipt with you to prove you've paid for it! Bonkers! Make sure you put your car details into the terminal in reception or you'll get a FPN too!
Sadly, disappointed with our stay and apart from the lovely lady on reception, the staff weren't great.

Our room was nice and clean, not sure it was 4* room.
Dinner - good selection of cuisines, we ordered starters and mains, all for some reason was served together. Restaurant looked very appealing and high standard. Not too expensive.
Breakfast - we were asked to show receipt as proof that we paid, rather then reception providing room numbers to the lady at the podum, that paid for breakfast. They didn't want to let us in. Who carries receipt with them? You wouldn't expect that from 4* hotel. We did eat in the end. Breakfast was definitely not continental! Poor.
SPA facility - lady at the reception was not checking room numbers, anyone from the street could come in and use it. The conservatory area with beds was not cleaned overnight as day before 2 guys had wine there and when we came back this morning, all glasses where still at the tables. Spiderweb everywhere.
Pool nice and clean, steam room and sauna nice and clean. Jacuzzi bit too cold.

Staff on reception were lovely. Room was dated and not too clean.
Fire alarm went off and I went to the assembly point for there to be nobody there. Just had to assume I could go back in.

Staff was lovely and the food was excellent

Nice hotel, only issue was with dinner service had to wait for food for over 45 minutes and all did not come at once. Then a further 15 minutes for the last meal to come out which was missing part of the ingredients, offered a substitute but really should have made us aware they were out of ingredients. Chops were under cooked also. TV in room was not working correctly.

The hotel looks beautiful but check in was a little chaotic and we were sent to a room which was in no way ready. We were then given a new key to a different room which didnt open so third time lucky we made it into room. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and not really fit for purpose, the phone was not working, the hairdryer was broken and the air conditioning didnt work and needed maintenence so we were continuously returning to reception to have it fixed. Some of these were fixed but not all. We ate at the restaurant but was disappointed when i returned something to the kitchen and was not offered a refund for the item. Overall it was a confortable stay but disappointing for the quality of establishment i expected.

Was very loud, cleaners didn’t change bed sheets before we arrived, there was a random pair of dirty boxers in the corner of the room!

2 weddings going on at same time meant nowhere in hotel open besides tiny reception room.

What a terrible experience. I have never left a bad review for a hotel before. However my complaints and those of the hotels.com staff on my behalf have been ignored.
I was traveling with my 13 year old daughter as she was competing on the Saturday and in the England development training camp on the Sunday.
We were put in Room 39. It was very small but seemed clean and comfortable enough.
It was just at the top of the staircase and the only room between 2 fire doors.
There was a function on at the hotel as it was a Saturday night - i understand some noise from this is to be expected.
The large staircase sounds hollow underneath so boomed when groups of rowdy function guests went up and down them from about 10.30 - 2.30am. We could hear every word, scream, laugh etc.
As the fire door was opened the vacuum made our room door shake loudly in its frame then the fire door banged shut (twice) behind them. Then they opened the next fire door and it was all repeated. This was pretty relentless until around 2.30-3 am.
To top it off the blind in our room was not black out and didnt fit the window so we were awake at 5am.
The next morning Riley on reception explained the hotel manager was not working and no one knew his hours for that day and he was in charge of the hotel.
He said that room 39 is only ever let out if the hotel is completely fully booked as they are aware of the noise issues. I booked several weeks ago yet the rooms are randomly allocated each morning.

Unfortunately our booking was for 3 but room was for 2. We were charged an additional person fee. But the hotel is definitely not handicapped accessible. No lifts or elevators. Carrying luggage up multiple steps was not easy. Staff was kind but they didn’t know how to handle our issues

Stayed one night as going to show in town nice find on here food for breakfast was cold shame
