It is clear this hotel was either recently built or renovated. It was modern and updated. No carpet in the rooms (YAY). Pillows were great and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is not near the old town of Saint Augustine, it took us 1 hour to go over the bridge, it looks nice and clean, but my granddaughters took off their shoes their feet were black i don't think they ever clean the floors. The door to the next room is very thin we could hear a man coughing like he was in our room.

The check in process was difficult. The clerk did everything OK, but there was some sort of confusion where they couldn't see that I had actually pre-paid. They were quoting some rate that was less than I paid. It took about 12 minutes to sort it all out.

The 1st room we were given was super tiny /king bed next to elevator, asked to change room. Dbl bed any available.with adjoining door. Extremely poor build could hear everything in the next room.could hear phone conversations, tv which was on entire night. ALL sounds heard.

When we went to check in they told us they had no rooms with AC. They said they could bring a fan in! Really??They were apparently running on a generator and had no idea when the electricity would be repaired. Since we had reservations, you would think they would call us in advance and let us know what was going on. You think they made that courtesy call? NO they did NOT. The only thing they did do was referred us to the Best Western Sea side. Luckily they had rooms avaiblabe. Not sure I'd stay at this Holiday Inn again.

Our room was fairly close to the lobby and faced the pool. It was very quiet all three days we were there. The breakfast was very good for a breakfast included in the stay although the area was small it did not seem to hamper the experience. The staff was helpful. The ONLY downside was the tight parking. We will definitely stay there again.

Holiday inn express is usually our “go to” hotel. While this hotel was undergoing a minor cosmetic refurbishment in the lobby, (the floors were being redone) The rest of the hotel was meh. The hotel is very small. The breakfast was disgusting. Yes, these hotels with free breakfast are usually not the best to say the very least but this particular hotels breakfast was just out of this world gross. We check in earlier then check in time (as they had a room ready by chance) We get into our room and while it appeared to be “clean” it really was not. The bathroom had hair/dust around the shower door. The sink/vanity was just wiped out and mirror was not clean. The bedsheets had “stains” on them. Our AC unit leaked. We only had three bath towels and had to get another one from lobby. It did make us suspicious about our room when they called us and asked how our room was. Which may I add has never happened to us at this named hotel before. The parking was absolutely ridiculous. You pull in from main road and can almost hit someone under the awning where the lobby is if they’re parked there checking in. And you can’t go around. If you arrive late after doing things all day good luck finding a spot. We almost had to park on the street. They had one or two spots taken up by there reno stuff/worker truck. The ladies that work in the front are not friendly at all. The one who we had encountered several times was only “nice” to us when we checked out bc of GM sitting in office.

room was clean, we were missing the 'do not disturb' door hang sign and we asked front desk for that but the receptionist seemed completely confused about it (but .. what's there to be confused about?). location was nice, and price was pretty good, we didn't hear any traffic noise at all, however there is basically zero soundproof between rooms: we were able to hear every single word the next door's couple talked about, as well as the alarm, the sneeze, the yawning of the neighbors on the other side of the room. Unfortunately they got up around 7;30am so we had to get up as well since they started talking and there is no way to continue sleeping through no-soundproof-walls

I might be a little picky about this kind of stuff but the bathroom and shower could have been a little cleaner. The beds and bedding were nice and clean though. The ladies at the front desk were so very helpful and pleasant. Great location. Walking distance to the Amp. Right over the bridge from downtown. It has a private parking lot right out front. The lot does fill up later at night but we were always able to find a spot. Overall it was a good place and I'll probably stay there again during my next visit. I'll just bring a few cleaning supplies, lol

Very noisy room street was outside out window. Don't stay in Room 121 or surrounding rooms. high traffic area. Also a/c unit was very loud. We have stayed here many times and it was great. Next time I would just ask for a different room. Very convenient to the St..Augustine Amphetheater!

It was pleasant. The shower head was low for my significant other who is 6'7", so maybe removable shower heads would be better. The water pressure was extreme and no way to change the shower head stream. Pool could have better hours, such as until 2200 rather than dusk. Otherwise was good.

Room was not clean. The TV remote was super sticky. Very tiny bathroom. We could hear EVERYTHING from the room next door. Paper thin walls or perhaps the door. We checked out the next day and switched hotels as our kids couldn't sleep with the people next door talking all night. Talking could be heard clear as day from the room next door. I could tell you all their names and how they felt about the game.
