Super friendly and helpful checkin staff, she really couldnt have done anymore to help. Room was good, everything you need, nice deep bath was a plus

We had an overnight stay and arrived late so not sure what is around the area except a huge Asda within walking distance. Check in staff were amazing - very friendly and so helpful. A total credit to the hotel!! The bar area is very spacious and welcoming. Room was big and plenty room to move around
3.7
Staff was great but the hotel is quite old. You’ll hear all other guests while in your room. The WiFi is good for email and nothing else. The rooms are in need of renovations, there is a weird smell to the room. Nothing bad but not fresh.
3.7
the hotel room and facilities are very old and usage. the bed was uncomftable and not fixed (moved back and forward and to the sides). the bath room was unpleasent
3.7
Tired & shabby decor including the unappealing littered carpark.Room smelt damp and musty, worn towels, lumpy pillows and uncomfortable bed glad it was only 1 night!

We had a good stay at the Mercure Livingston while en-route to the Cairngorms. The service was great from check in to check out.
3.7
Lovely helpful staff and clean room but property in need of uplift
3.7
The hotel was good. We had two rooms. They forgot to service one room. After informing no compensation was given just a dry sorry. My point is simple if I book a hotel at this price than you give me full service or discount me like a motel. I had to make the room after a tiring day myself, so could have also rented a cheap apartment. Manager should be trained to handle such situations
3.7
Rooms were very dated, bar was well overpriced , had the chicken balmoral for dinner and chicken was hard on the outside and tough and dry on the inside. WiFi was really slow.staff were nice and it’s very convenient for shopping.
3.7
The staff was ver helpful and the place was clean and the food was great.

Travelled up on my own. I was able to check in super early due to me travelling 9 hours by coach.
Welcome by Rebecca who had arranged for early check in.
The room was so comfortable and just felt like home for me.
The staff are so kind and really made my stay welcome.
Big shout out to Chris and Daniel the food was brilliant.
And the servers Lisa James freyja and anecsa. Think I got that right. I literally couldn’t have gotten through the rest of the evening if you guys hadn't been there for me to talk too. I would recommend to stay here.
Thank you so much for your hospitality. May see you again.

Needs a refurb
3.7
Restaurant was warm and muggy. The A/C unit was not working but the propane fireplace was still heating up the entry way area. Room was fine but hallway carpeting needs to be replaced.
3.7
Good value in the area
3.7
Staff were very nice and friendly
I would like to see a improvement with the meals for the price you pay.
3.7
The staff were so freindly. Nothing was a problem for them.would definitely return
3.7
Good place to saty outside Edinburgh city center
3.7
Bit of a tired hotel. Could use some updates. Staff were wonderful.
3.7
Poor food, noisy, never again

Good mid-level hotel handily placed for my n eeds working at the nearby Dalmahoy Golf club for a couple of days. the hotel is I suspect due a refurb but whilst a little 'faded' the staff are exc ellent and the cleanliness of the rooms was very good.
I eat only at breakfast but this was very good and excellent value at £12.
The reception staff were especially helpful and gave me advice about how to best access the stores at the huge retail complex over the road.
3.7
Was an ok stay
3.7
Great staff, great rooms. Recommended
3.7
The hotel was very tired there was even a christmas tree in the reception which looked really tacky. The shower area had mould. The food was ok but the signal for the card machine was very very poor. The cost to stay here was certainly not worth the amount paid and seriously needs reviewing.
3.7
Overpriced, room below standard as per description, breakfast tasteless, hotel shabby needs TLC, only redeeming feature was the friendly staff.
3.7
Pretty run down and smelly
3.7
Was pretty good! Helpful staff
3.7
I tried THREE times to cancel, the hotel refused to accept it.
3.7
The menu was very basic , breakfast was vey poor eggs over done bacon standing brine from the cooking. Extractor in the bathroom was noisy and went on for 10 minutes after leaving the bathroom
3.7
Nice hotel, helpful staff. Would use again
3.7
A little out of the way
3.7
Very dated hotel in the back of an industrial park. Felt like Id been thrown back into an 80's TV show. But bed was comfy and front desk helpful.
3.7
Hotel is situated in very nice place. Not far from centre. I do highly recommend.
3.7
I have stayed here several times, and each time I tell myself to eat elsewhere, but do I listen? No. Take my advice, the rooms are great and really comfortable, but the restaurant is shocking. Really slow service, really poor menu selection and no atmosphere at all.
3.7
Very friendly and warm staff
3.7
Room absolutely not worth the money! Very old fashioned and facilities terrible.I will be asking for money off this room due to my son trying to take a shower and the taps not not turning off leaving us in room with water pouring out for 20 minutes before it was fixed.Guy came to fix it to tell us that yes this has happened before.Floor absolutely soaked at 11pm not ideal at all.
3.7
Hotel is fine and nice. Expedia messed up our registration and did not communicate well with the hotel. Thankfully they were able to get us into a room but it only had one bed instead of the two we booked.
3.7
Simple and affordable room. Nice area. Close to a grocery store for travelers looking to budget for food a little more effectively. Amazing customer service.
3.7
The carpet in our room was worn but that was only criticism, room tidy and spotless, reception staff couldn’t do enough for us 👍
3.7
property needs renovation, but clean and location allows a walk to the shops / restaurants
