A friend and stayed at the hotel for a weekend. Did not have a pleasant stay at all. There was a problem with our booking when we arrived so it had to redone by the receptionist. The room we received was in terrible condition. AC and lamps where not working. The drain in the shower was clogged. When checking out the receptionist (a dark skinned lady) accused us of not paying (which was not the case as a had a booking confirmation and receipt) and was generally very disrespectful and unpleasant. Will not be staying here and do definitely not recommend.

Very convenient located to public transportation and super market. Super quite. Very good value for the cost.

The General Manager, Monica, help me with my laundry service. My laundry was completed within a few hours, which I feel was in record pace!

The hotel was fine. It was nothing special, but it was inexpensive and got the job done. There are a lot of bus tours that stay there, so breakfast was often very crowded.

This is probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and I travel a lot! I've stayed at this hotel a few years ago, and thought that it would be a safe choice. However, clearly a lot has happened during this time, and the hotel is more worn and unappealing than I remember it to be. My negative experience started right after check-in, trying to get to the floor my room was located in. Several buttons in the only working elevator didn't work. After having to take the stairs to get to my room, I found it - only quickly to realize that they hadn't cleaned it. Someone had left their marks in the toilet. I understand errors can happen, and I quickly got a new room, - and an apology that this never happens. After getting to my second room I was a bit stunned to see that the bathroom in this one was even more filthy, and in addition had a few dried up contact lenses on my nightstand. I called the reception again, who quickly came upstairs with keys for another room, that they had already checked... I was pleased to get a new room, and the overall cleanliness looked ok. It wasn't until I was about to place my food in the small fridge that every room has that I realized that it was actually full of mould!! And at this time I just gave up.. It was clear to me that this hotel has no interest in establishing routines that allows for the bare minimum of hygiene.. I was hoping they'd ask me about my stay during my check out, because then I'd address this directly - but they didn't.

The room was lovely and clean, the staff amazingly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good as was the location!
The one thing that we think needs to be improved is that the side of the tub was high and there were no grab bars. The tub floor was slippery and there was no mat. It was a bit dicey getting safely in and out of the tub. They need to add the two aformentioned safety features.

I was distressed when I checked in. I was asked to pay for a night's stay. Since the reservations through Hotels.com did not get this problem before, I did not have a copy of my payment. After a delay, the hotel gave us a room: the receptionist would contact Hotels.com for payment. The hotel did not ask me to pay again before my departure.
My credit card record clearly showed that it had been paid. What a way to be greeted!
The hotel was old and did not consider guests' comfort in the bathroom: a little shelf would have been nice to place personal toiletries. The location of the hotel was not too bad.

Overall good place to stay in Oslo. Nice and quiet.

Long weekend in oslo. Nice hotel, exceptional service and good breakfast. A little outdated but clean rooms, good location. Recommend.

Veldig bra med daglig rengjøring! Flott lokasjon. Hyggelig betjening.

I was given the wrong room twice, was told there was parking and there was not, and the sauna was broken.

Overall, the hotel was a good place to stay for our long weekend in Oslo. Conveniently located near to a major tram/bus stop that gave us access with minimal changes to the majority of the city.
The hotel staff were excellent and all very friendly and the buffet breakfast was exceptionally well-stocked at the weekend but less so on weekdays. The quality was good overall, but I did get the feeling that some of the produce had been put out repeatedly for a few days by the end of our stay.
In the room, things were less impressive. Upon our arrival, I was informed that we'd been upgraded from the '1 Queen size bed' room that I'd booked. What we received was a twin bed room with the beds pushed together. There were twin duvets and due to slippery floors, the beds would inconveniently slip apart during the night.
There was not enough storage in the room.
There was no tea/coffee in the room which was a shock to someone who relies on an early morning coffee to get the day going. However, it's not listed in the hotel website that it's included so worth double checking. The only tea/coffee available outside of breakfast is from a machine (paid for) in the lobby.
Other small points, the towels were tiny and thin - I'm a big chap and struggled to be honest. The escape routes map was missing from the back of the door. The shower screen was poorly fitted so that water collected on the floor and there was no plug for the sink.
In summary, I won't be returning to this hotel.

Great service, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and ideally located for exploring Oslo.

Very good breakfast but rooms outdated, especially the bathroom. Doesn't have any place to put your things there! Mirror only in bathroom. Ask for room towards courtyard as street side can be noisy with tram traffic. Location perfect. Staff very friendly especially in the breakfast serving.

Great hotel, spacious and clean room. Quiet and in an excellent location. Breakfast Buffett was outstanding, and the gym was good too.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, great breakfast

This hotel is getting tired and needing a refresh, don’t understand why when you stay more than one night Scandic hotels almost never refill the tea/coffee/milk/sugar, I know Norway is an impoverished country ;) but with an executive room and price maybe an extra tea bag could be provided.
3.9
This was a good hotel that was easy to get to from the train and close to the city center. The breakfast was good with lots of choices.

Had a great stay here. Was a bit of a hefty walk to the things I wanted to do in Oslo but there is a convenient tram stop a block or two away. Also convenient to the express train to the airport. Pleasantly late check out, great breakfast. My only irritation was the rooms weren’t quite as clean as they could have been (when we opened the sofa bed in our family room it looked as if the sheets might not be new), and the shower in the room didn’t make any sense. It doesn’t contain the water well from reaching the rest of the bathroom and our room in particular had drainage issues with the shower drain, so it basically flooded the bathroom floor any time someone showered. A minor issue in the bigger picture though and I’d stay here again!

Two week stay. Service was great... everyone from front desk to breakfast staff. Housekeeping staff was outstanding. Very thorough and detailed. No air conditioning in hotel so warm at night on top floor. Room could have a few more small amenities such as paper and pen, more outlets, more clothing storage. Overall nice place to stay.

We were here in advance of a Gate1 trip to Norway. Four days' lead time allowed us time to recover from stressful travel and yet see 3 museums. A short 15-minute walk to the Aker Brygge area and about the same to the National Theater stop on the subway/train line, the hotel is 2 blocks from the northwest corner of the palace gardens. Abundant food options on the streets heading towards either of these locations.

The girl working the reception was not friendly at all. She tried to charge me again for my prepaid room and when I tried to explain to her that it was already paid for she gave me an attitude. No hi or enjoy your stay either. It was just terrible. I would think they had a bigger focus on customer service. Never again.

We have used the hotel several times, but this time we were dissapointed on a few points. No remote for the control, no cups for drinking water, and no additinal pillows in the room.
When I raised the issues I was attended well by staff, but these are basic's that a room would normally have.

Easy to find, near bus and tram stops, in city center, can walk to most tourist spots (national theater, the palace, akerbrygge, and more). They have a parking area (daily payment though). The buffet breakfast was good. They have a mini kiosk open for 24 hrs. They also have gym and sauna but it was close when we were there due to the corona virus. Lastly, it was a lil bit cheaper than the others and is in city center.
3.9
Everything was clean and proper. The specific room I had was slightly dated and showed some wear and tear here and there. Breakfast was basic but decent and the location of the hotel is very good compared to the National Theatre trainstation and the city center.

Good hotel, big rooms. Unfortunately the shower did not have a curtain or something, so the entire bathroom gets wet after showering. Bathroom is a bit dated, but overall good service and nice rooms!

Very friendly reception staff (mainly the young man from Azerbaijan 👍). Hotel is close to all sorts of transport and not far from the town centre. Breakfast offers good choice of food. Rooms are basic, clean but would suggest to book superior room if you want little extras such as safe, tea /coffee +kettle, slightly more room as rooms dont have any storage (wardrobe) and therefore your case will take some room.

Excellent stay over two separate occasions, with family and then partner. Excellent breakfast. Very decent sized rooms. Staff super friendly and helpful. Nice to have the sauna. Very pleasant stay.

Its a familys Scandinavian trip - 50th Birthday. Booked a family room for 3 nights around 3 months before our expected arrival date and even took the risk of having the non-refundable option. Sad to say, there was an issue during our check-in due to water leak (as explained fully the following day). Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked that night thus we were bumped off into a different Scandic location outside the City Center. Although the 1st night we spent has good views on it, we still prefer the City Center location for walking distance and accessibility. We then returned to original booking during our 2nd and 3rd nights. We tried to composed ourselves not to be affected fully with the issue as we dont want to ruin our Scandinavian trip (spent both 3 nights in Sweden and Finland after Norway) to celebrate my 50th Birthday in 2 days time. Nevertheless, the management were remorseful enough for the discomfort we experienced with them. We received a good amount of restaurant vouchers to be spent, desserts with candle on my birthday left in the room and above all the full refund of our pre-paid 3 nights booking with them. That was during our check-out that the management will do the full refund of our 3 nights expenses with them. Please note, we didnt claimed for it however we do appreciate if it happens and yes I have it back into my bank account. Loop holes could happen anytime but the good thing is the management acted the issue accordingly - way and above.

Nice stuff. Good breakfast. We are a family with 2 kids who were visiting Oslo for a long weekend. Position of the hotel was very good to get to see most places.
3.9
The greatest place. You can reach easily the Centre, the Telenor Arena (direct bus) and Bygdøy where all the museums are situated. The room was perfect and the breakfasts were so delicious! I would like to come back to this hotel. Thank you!

The location is very quiet but close to various forms of public transport so it is very easy to travel to all parts of Oslo from here. The breakfast choice is amazing!

The front desk staff were generally good.
A couple could be friendlier. They did not wake me up at 7:30 as requested and emphasized as I have had cases where hotels forget to call me.
They called me after 8 am. I had a flight to catch so I missed breakfast and was completely rushed.

Despite requesting a queen bed my husband and I were given a twin room. We did speak with the reception staff to ask to change this and they did this by zipping together two mattress toppers.
In addition, we were checking out quite early on Sunday and requested a takeway breakfast, despite notifying the staff we are vegetarians they proceeded to give us a meat breakfast. When the breakfast was handed to us in the morning my husband checked with reception that it was vegetarian, the reception staff said it wasn't, went in the back and handed us another bag when, which we opened later and was STILL NOT vegetarian.
The hotel itself is very basic, its dusty and dated and the pictures do not reflect the standard of the hotel. Very disappointing stay.

Good Hotel, Great & Friendly Staff, Centrallt located, u can go for the evening walks to the new Harbour, tram station is closeby

Staff were excellent with the kids, bed was large and very comfortable, the sofa bed was a little rickerty. Shower was great but we had no hand soap ( the dispenser was empty) There was no moisturiser or body lotion. The room was a bit hot and the aircon did little. These are small niggles it was a really great stay. Despite the heat we slept well. The breakfast was superb, the all the staff were welcoming and friendly often going the extra mile. The area is safe and central. We loved our stay, great value.
