Great location in between apoador and Ipanema. Great serves especially from Lucas he went avbive and beyond every time he worked always greeting me with a smile making me feel welcomed and loved that he knew English. Also his help with getting me a bicycle everyday . He’s a great asset to the hotel. Thank you Lucas!

Old and not kept up property. Not very clean and very basic rooms. Much worse than the photos.

It took two hours (!) to check in, the room was dirty and moldy, and there was a sock on the floor. We got another room that was checked by the staff, but the sheets were stained, there was mold on the chair and ceiling and there were hairs on the floor, on the sink and in the showers. Coffee was good.

Hotel is old and dated..no hot water kettle or coffee machine in room.To iron cloth very bad one iron in common room..so old left stain on clothes. One ice maker at reception which doesnt work..No choice for Vegetarians in hot breakfast.only advantage is location close to both beaches and fort

Breakfast was good and it is walking distance to both beaches.

In close proximity to Copacabana and Ipanema so you're surrounded by lots of amenities and transportation. Rooms were kept clean, shower pressure was good, you had access to a laundry room on the first floor and my room had a balcony with a view. The reason I didn't provide a 5 star rating was because of the constant upselling. I was charged 100 real to check in early even though my room was available, 100 real each time I checked in a guest and I had to pay for a power adaptor because the plugs were 3 pin. Other than that I would highly recommend for a solo traveller.

Very good

The location is great and the balcony was nice to have. However, the bathroom was terribly small, old, and unpleasant. The room was musty overall and lacked some basics like a bedside lamp. The table in the room was so wobbly we couldn't put anything on it. The hotel seems to have good bones, but poor management - it could use a serious renovation (especially the bathrooms).

The room was extremely spacious with a bed huge and comfortable enough to fit three adults in. I think the size of the room needs to be made clearer when booking because it says it’s only 2sqm when it is much bigger, this initially made me anxious to book. Staff and cleaners were all very kind and helpful, though the cleaning of the toilet area could’ve been a bit better. Overall, this hotel is a great option for the price and the location is great as it is right in between Copacabana and Ipanema.

Absolutely fantastic location near Copacabana and very close to ipanema beaches. Front desk very responsive to requests. Breakfasts are fantastic. Hotel is old and lifts slow and seem to break down sometimes. Room comfortable. No individual soaps etc or glasses, or bottle opener in the room.

Clean and basic property. Great location and good staff. Good value for price.

Perfect location in between Copacabana and Ipanema. Everything you need is around. Friendly staff and nice rooms although general maintenance of bathrooms and details in the hotel should be improved. Also missed that the cleaning staff didn’t vacuum the rooms. Will be going back for sure.

Amazing spot

1 block from Copacabana Beach and The Fort (which you can enter free with your key card sleeve by the way), you cannot beat the location. The lobby is beautiful. The staff is amazing and all speak English. They have good drinks and snacks to buy in the lobby as well as beach toys such as soccer balls for kids to borrow. The $7 per day breakfast is huge and high value. The rooms were ok—I needed to extra-scrub the bathroom myself as I have gotten sick from hotel bathroom mold before. They had no fitted sheets on the beds so my flat bottom sheet kept sliding up.The A/C in the lobby and rooms and breakfast room were great. The hallways and elevators had no A/C, which I didn’t love. The rooftop pool is tiny but the deck is nice and they were retiling while we were there to improve it even more. You cannot get past Floor 1 without a key card, which I loved for safety. On busy New Years Eve, you had to have a bracelet to even enter the lobby. We had two rooms and received free Rio tote bags for each guest as well as a small comp champagne bottle and glasses. Nice surprises. In one of our rooms, the bathroom door hit the toilet, so you could not fully open it. And the bathrooms disappointingly didn’t have A/C, which I view as critical during hot Rio summers. So mixed, but it’s near family for us so we’ll likely be back. Overall a good experience and sharing this feedback to be constructive to the management!

It was a pleasure to stay here. We did have housekeeping come in quite often and also try to enter without knocking on our last day here. However, the stay was enjoyable! I would recommend highly!

When I first checked in, I was allocated a very ugly, abandoned, disgusting room in some kind of isolated wing of the hotel. My fiancé and I refused to stay there. So, we went back to the front desk with the intention of getting a refund and finding another hotel. They offer another room, this time it was a normal room, well maintained and decorated in the normal part of the hotel. I don’t know why they gave us that 1st room, but it left me with a very bad impression of the place. We changed hotels the next night because of this feeling.

The hotel is a bit dated but in a fantastic location with Ipanema and Copacabana within minutes by foot. It was a bit noicy because of construction work across the road

Some of the rooms like the one that they gave to me are old and do not look like the picture. Wifi doesnt get to the room at all but it works at the lobby or many parts of the hotel just not the room since was on the last floor and the last one of the corridor. Bed sheets were not complete and did not cover the entire mattress which was weird.

Comfortable

First of all, the room that we booked doesn’t match with the pics, except for the Balcony. Minibar was dirty, a bottle of gatored was left inside. The toillet probably don’t see bleach for a while since you can see a yellow water mark inside. The shower has black scab between some tiles, the sink was leaking over the counter from the faucet, also some small tails were broken. I had to ask like three time to the receptionist to refill shower gel, and when they finally did it, they just refill it with water, also one day they didn’t replace the dirty towels that they removed from the room. The lobby was clean and other areas too, but staff needs to be more polite, and just a few of them speak another language than Portuguese.
The most important thing there is a construction building in front of the property, and they are using pneumatic hammers, and the noise is unbearable from early morning every week day, the noise can make you really uncomfortable.
Breakfast is good!

Comfortable hotel with cool design, good service, nice personnel.Excellent location. Breakfast was disappointing and not so appealing, could easily update with fresher and varied fruit, higher quality yougurt and juices etc. More healthy and less sugary options.A bit noisy in rooms facing the street.
