The Lover's Key property is beautiful and very well maintained. Their employees are all very nice and helpful. Our condo was newly renovated and absolutely perfect!

Amazing views. Wonderful pool area.

Our stay was a tranquil one. The room was clean and had everything we needed stocked and organized.
It’s important to mention that there is no beach or sand connected to the hotel but there is a nice pool. The hotel however, offers transportation to and from the beach. It's basically a nice room to stay in and nice to come back to after a day at the beach or shopping.
Considering the hotel is still under renovations after several severe storms, it was a comfortable choice for us ands we intend to return again soon.

We had a wonderful stay, but the property is still under repair from hurricane damage.
The restaurant on the site was very good, but no breakfast available.
The pool was very nice but the whirlpool was out of commission.

Unlit parking lot areas and no security personnel on site. Staff leaves at 5:00 and no one is available for needs until next morning

Because of severe weather in the Fort Myers area, we changed the stay to August!
Thank you.

The balcony bay views are gorgeous. You’ll almost guaranteed to see dolphins and sting rays in the water daily. The rooms are set in way you absolutely feel like you’re at home. With a small but full kitchen and grocery store near by, it’s perfect for a family. As a single traveler though it’s my favorite to go. There’s a restaurant right next door with the friendly staff. Lovers key state park is 5 minutes away and it beats parking at any public access spot. Between the restore and state park/beach, as a family or solo, it’s hands down the best place to plan the most peaceful and private vacation around.

Everything worked but the appliances and countertops were very old and worn out and the carpet was frayed and there were a lot of rolls in the carpet. The couch and chairs were uncomfortable and the balcony was tiny although the view is outstanding. The pool
Is very nice, the jacuzzi not so much. There was one day where we barely was able to make it out of the parking lot as a construction worker’s truck blocked the exit. There was no construction noise so that was nice. However, there was a water problem with a neighboring resort and we had no water at all for five hours. We stayed there for a week in early May 2024. We would not stay there again. We were allowed one cleaning after five days - the cleaner did a great job even though The resort did not have any water at that time . The cleaner changed the bedsheets, changed out the towels and vacuumed. She was very pleasant and efficient

The property was centrally located to multiple areas we wanted to see. It was quiet and easy to get on and off the property to the main road. There was no beach access but it was very close to the lovers key beach access. Not walkable but an easy drive. You definitely need to have a car. You couldn’t walk to anyplace accept Flippers restaurant, which always had at least an hour wait.

We were there at a time when construction was taking place, so the road into Lovers key was in need of great repair. Our toilet in our unit overflowed and there wasn't a phone in our unit to call maintenance, so I went to the front desk for help. No one was working at the office but, a maintenance man was in the inner office and he came up to help us out. The elevator wasn't fully operational all the time. The restaurant next door, Flippers was very convenient. I'm sure in a few more years when Fort Meyers isn't under going so much rebuilding that roads and bridges are open, things will be better overall. The heated pool was nice as was the gym. It wasn't the most convenient to go to the front desk each morning to get clean towels. Again hopefully in a few more years when more construction is completed in Fort Meyers, there will be more employees to handle housekeeping duties, a shuttle to and from the airport as well as taking guests to shops the beaches and excursions would be a plus.

Beautiful view from all of the floor to ceiling window. Awesome balcony. Full kitchen. Convenient self parking. Relaxed atmosphere. Off the main drag of Fort myers beach. We are so glad we cancelled our “Margaritaville “ reservations for our stay at “Lover’s Key”.

Beautiful view and nicely decorated. The pool is wonderful and the restaurant “Flippers” downstairs is as well highly recommended!

The price quoted by Expedia is not what was required at check in. Not given a good explanation of the reason other than Expedia was wrong. The kitchen appliances were worn. Only had 3 plates, one teaspoon and 3 forks. Staff was friendly.

The resort, as in the general area, was reopened a little too soon. There were some issues, namely things not working plus major reconstruction within the community that caused problems. If you are going to open under these conditions, there should be somewhat of a rate cut. There wasn't.

Nice apartment at 12 floor but the rest of the building is still in renovation.

Hotels.com blocked my attempts to contact the hotel before my stay which was very disappointing and annoying. The views of the bay were non existent, we had a view of the car park. The balcony floor was not repaired following last years hurricane, was sandy and had bugs living in it. The staff were very helpful and immediately put right short comings.

The entire area is still trying to recover from hurricane Ian. Limited areas are open and a lot of construction still happening. Staff was exceptional. Resort is doing the best they can under the circumstances.

We arrived on Nov. 25 surprised to find that the resort building and site were a hard hat construction area, with scaffolding going up and down the building. The first floor of the building was also under construction. At the first floor front desk we were told we had to pay $500 something. After showing your price summary that we should only owe $415.04, the clerk faxed our info somewhere and later on came back to say we owed another $50. We agreed and after we came home she had actually charged us $50.17 and another $47.95!!!
The suite that we had was not clean: the floor was filthy and the paint on the floor of the balcony was peeling and the sliding doors were dirty. The stove knobs were greasy. And the direct access to water was not open. On Monday morning, the construction crew promptly started at 8 AM and was extremely noisy with machines going. They were still working at 5 PM. They started again on Tuesday at 8 AM. I remember reading something about the damage due to Hurricane Ian last year. But they should never have reopened until they were finished with their repair. It was not a pleasant experience.

This was such a great stay. The front desk girl was so helpful and friendly and we loved the ease of check in and check out. Very peaceful property

Property is under renovations which is clearly stated upon booking, but rooms rooms are a hit or miss apparently. We stayed in a room that was dirty, missing blinds, bed was covered in different types of hair, and very outdated. We checked out early due to this but the staff was awesome in helping us out and making sure we felt accommodated. They gave us a full refund and were very apologetic. I understand it’s not their fault the room was this way. It’s really sad we couldn’t enjoy as the views from the room were amazing and it’s really peaceful and quiet at the hotel.

Our weekend getaway was a horrible experience. The resort had an ongoing construction and repair work during our stay. We were never notified of this situation. We were very frustrated because there weren't any vending or ice machines available. Information provided by the resort regarding restaurants that were operating were incorrect. Overall we are very dissatisfied and we are not planning to come back or recommend to anyone,

Lovers Key and area was hit directly by Hurricane Ian just a year ago. The area is slowly coming back and Lovers Key Resort is one of the few resorts open in the area. Lovers Key Resort is still working on their building and amenities but all and all it was a Great place for a 2 day get away.

We had a great stay at Lovers Key Resort. The suite was beautiful, clean and completely updated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the delicious food, drinks and service at Flippers. The pool and deck are maintained beautifully. The resort is located by a State Park with a great beach between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Springs. Our favorite part was the view overlooking the bay and ocean, so beautiful and peaceful. We plan to go back often.

We stayed on room 902. The room wasn’t very clean. There were moldy moisture socks left in the sliders and window. There were dust balls on the ceiling. The walls and baseboards looked to have never been wiped down. The coffee pot was corroded inside the water reservoir. The place really needs a deep clean. I wonder if the owner realizes their condo looks like that. There was no daily linen service which was disappointing. The view was nice and Restaurant had great food and service. I would go back but to a different unit.

The view from the balcony was excellent. Overall, my daughter and I had a pleasant week together in Florida. We did, however, have some concerns.
We were disappointed with some of the amenities in the condo. The kitchen utensils, pans, dishware, and cupboard space left a great deal to be desired.
The dining room and living room furniture need an upgrade. There was minimal dresser space.
The pool was clean, had enough lounge chairs (although we were there off-season), and the water was a comfortable temperature.
The elevators were both out of commission at the same time for 6 to 8 hours during one day. Our condo was on the 10th floor, and we therefore needed to do 10 flights of stairs to go anywhere. This was particularly inconvenient for residents caught at the pool, particularly families who had small children, and others who needed to get out of the sun, eat lunch, take a nap, etc.
The restaurant adjacent to the condo, Flippers, had excellent food. It was quite pricey, and they did not deliver. The two entities weren't not linked, I think the option of the food plan would be interesting.
The advertisement for the condo described an eight minute walk to the beach. It was more like a five minute drive to the beach, parking, entry fee to the park, and not much of the beach, and driving back in wet swimsuits.
