This place is big only good thing about it. The rooms smelled at times super humid in rooms. The service sucked. They dont appreciate when you tip niether. If u dont have vip ur limited to many things. Food was not good in the buffet. Enjoyed it one time. Usually ate at the vip bars. I will not return again

Cofresi property was beautiful within the complex but a few steps away was poverty and pollution. Air conditioning was broken 84 degrees in our room with AC unit on made it difficult to sleep. Television had very limited English channels and lines through the screen which made it difficult to watch. The staff were very helpful and friendly and attentive. American Airlines was horrible with our luggage all of our toiletries were ruined upon arrival m. America airlines handling of our luggage was terrible.

Had a lot fun and rest, just couple of missed understanding, but other than that is was great.

The employees are the best

The property was excellent except from r the entertainment

There were exposed electrical wires several places near the pools. There was trash and cigarette butts in the pool areas. The whole property seemed to be dirty the upkeep was not good… this is an inclusive hotel but doesn’t offer servers at the pools or at the beach area. I paid and asked for an early check in at 11am and it took 40 minutes for the front desk to check us in. And we were the first in line. It was an absolutely awful experience I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Everything was awesome except the front desk agent
She was nor friendly and tried to charge me $20 for checking in 20 minutes earlier but everyone was awesome

I just went for a week in July 15 -20 … THERE IS A LOT OF STAIRS no elevators. Although they have buses that can come get you from your rooms to the main areas there is still a lot of stairs so just prepare for that . People were nice , nothing like the reviews I read before going! The rooms were nice (40 building) the views . It’s quiet in the room areas . They have different entertainment in the common areas and the bar close at midnight . There is more than one beach. There are bars everywhere . They have 3 meal times and open snack time from 11p.m to 4 a.m although it’s already really quiet by 10 p.m . The pools are clean and very nice. They have an area for kids and a pool for them as well. My experience was a 8.5 /10 . Would definitely go back .

This was a big mistake to visit this resort. Will never go there again. Horrible & lazy staff, people had to wait for hours to be checked in and checked out,I am not joking, it took more than one hour to wait in the line up to be processed. My husband got sick overnight (of course dhiarria), when I tried to call the reception and the doctor after midnight nobody picked up, had to run to the lobby to beg for help. No medication was available on the premises at night. Horrible experience!!!!

Very clean and big property with lots to do.All of the staff was helpful and friendly. The food isn’t great but it’s not too bad. Also didn’t like the mandatory tour & the long speech about membership/ buying property.

We had reserved 2 room. We flew in on an overnight flight which landed in Santiago DR. At 1:30am. We went home to pick up my parents and then came to the resort. Upon arrival, we were told to wait until 3pm because only clients who come straight for the airport to the resort can be checked in early. After explaining and complaining of the ridiculous policy Mr. Leandro from guess service checked us in which allowed us to use the facilities and amenities. We were staying 3nights 4 days. On the first day the shower hose broke. We reported it to the receptionist and we were told it would be fixed. We only got 4 bottles of water in the room which allowed us to make tea and coffee one day one time only. We reported the issue of the shower again as well as the water bottle (refreshments) issues and we were told that water bottles would be sent to the room. It never got there. We were there 2 nights 3 days without proper showering facility. It’s crazy that i had changed and cancelled my Ibero Star resort reservation(which we had stayed several times and loved everything there) to come to this 1start resort. With the exception of Mr. Leandro staff attentions and details really sucks. Very poor. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT.

It was good

Raw sewage is travels thru the middle of the resort and it smells like poo everywhere. It appears that raw sewage is drained into the ocean as well.. there is a little creek looking thing on the beach that I crossed to go to a local bar.. I wish I hadn't. You better like hiking if you stay here. Everything is up hill 6 story climb to get to the buffet every day.
3.3
No good

I enjoyed the buffet options with all the meals. The stairs and hills to get to the beach and around the property are more than expected. The beds were like sleeping in the floor. The spa was great and the staff was amazing.
3.3
Everything was fine the only thing I didn’t like is that they don’t provide WiFi no even when I offer to pay for it I couldn’t use my internet service other than that I love the place me and my family have a great time

Neolfy, Denny, Leandro (Guest services) and Gaby (front desk) are the best! Their level of professionalism is exceptional. I hope that the CEO of this company sees this review so they can give these particular employees top positions in this company. They are by far some of the best Representatives of your company. I cannot wait to come back and And thank them again in person we are really so grateful for how pleasurable they made our stay thank you for all the hard work that you do. We appreciate you all. We know that you didn’t have to do it, but you did and we cannot thank you enough.

This is not a resort, try to avoid it. Not touristic place more of local if this is what you are looking for good for you. For families looking for decent and elegant experiences never book here

When we checked into the property, we were put in a junior suite where the air conditioning was not working for the entire building. Staff seemed surprised that it was not working, but after talking to other guests it had been out for 5 days prior. We were moved to a different room that was a significant downgrade. While the AC is no one’s fault, why put guests in rooms that you know are not functioning properly? It was 84 degrees F. In the “new” room, the bathroom floor flooded every time we showered. We asked for some sort of compensation for all of this, and they offered to refund us for one night. We signed a paper stating this was okay, but when I went back to ask for a copy, no one could find it. Making dinner reservations was a hassle and almost impossible to make changes to. Room keys consistently did not work and front desk staff were rude if you asked them to be rekeyed. One woman laughed at my husband and told him she would not reset the key and that he could go to dinner in his beach clothes because we could not get into the room. She would not believe that our keys did not work until she sent another staff member to the room with us, where he confirmed they, in fact, did not work. Pools and most “amenities” close at 5:00 or 6:00 pm, before it is even dark. We were here for 9 days & have never been more ready to leave a vacation. I would not recommend this “resort” to anyone. Stay somewhere local, far away from Cofresi.

Love it

I didn’t like the fact that you have to be at the lobby at 9am just to make dinner reservations. That is another JOB having to do something in order to eat when you are there for a VACATION! It would have been better to just call the lobby to make dinner reservations. So my husband and I were not at all happy with this hotel. Also, this was me and my husband’s first time ever in Puerto Plata, DR

Not gonna lie it’s A LOT of walking. Especially if you don’t wait for the shuttle but overall the experience was great ! There was a wonderful young lady named Gaby at reception that had EXCEPTIONAL customer service! I’d go back just for her lol.

VIP property it’s really good

DONT BOOK without doing your research! Me and my family stayed for 5 days…. The hotel is in need of major renovations. Most Restaurants are limited to MEMBERS only. The food was the same every night with NO variety or Seasoning…..The bathrooms are not well maintained (Toilets did not flush , low water pressure, bad Oder)…..To get around you must take a bus which was an inconvenience because they ran late everyday… The alcohol is watered down… The staff was nice only when we tipped them…. Other then that they will ignore you…..Beach and Pool was dirty with used cups and sanitary napkins….The entertainment was canceled 3 out of the 5 days of our stay…….. one positive experience was the interactions we had with other families……I don’t recommend staying at this resort……

The property excellent Leandro calvo and team excellent

The hotel rooms were unlivable. Constant bugs from every corner, the toilet didn’t flush, my shower was broken, leaks in the faucet. The food was the same thing every single day, the facility was unkempt. I made a reservation for 18 days to relax for the first time since covid, and I left after a few days because it was extremely unbearable. Do not waste your time or money visiting this “resort”. As a travel agent, this was the worst hotel I have ever visited.
3.3
I love the resort, I just didn’t like the beach , it was kind of dirty.
3.3
Pretty good

The palace is big but need a lot of work. The service was bad you had to go to the bar and get ur own drink. The food was bad nothing to eat. Didn’t have fruits, very limited. The drink doesn’t taste good at all. Needs a lot of work to get better and maybe get more tourist.
3.3
Has about 7 pools
3.3
My favorite area was the Spa, where i was able to enjoy with peace and quiet.
3.3
the shuttles was a bit annoying, however the overall stay was nice.
3.3
Great room and staffs are great
3.3
Poor food, I ate in the 5 days exactly the same food, no variety, only the last day we ate something different in the Brazilian restaurant. Never will come back there.
3.3
Very poor Service the property is not clean the staff members will only assist you if you pay good tip and don’t play you enough attention if you’re Dominican , everything in the room is all the blankets small like moo and like they was washed with no soap , the food at the buffet is disgusting very bad and every day they serve the same thing I couldn’t find good food to give to my baby I had to go out the resort and find something for him . I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone specifically if you used to the good places and also almost forgot to mention that if you buy package from Expedia to go this place they treat you different the mark your bracelet as “PROMO” even if you have a suit they mark you and basic on that your bracelet said the staff treat you as no body lol ,,, very very very poor costumer service.
