Wonderful stay!

The property is due for renovations. Our room was small and the plumbing was making noises from other rooms. The pool plaster was in very poor condition. Not any support staff at the main pool. Very disappointed.

Our stay at the Ingleside Estate Hotel was absolutely delightful! Nestled in a beautiful, serene part of town, this hidden gem offers the perfect blend of luxury and charm. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. What truly stood out was the outstanding customer service, especially from Dan. He was incredibly helpful, providing us with all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. His attentiveness and knowledge of the area made our experience even more memorable. Ingleside Estate is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful and luxurious retreat!

Old Hollywood style with great location and beautiful grounds. Adjacent and shares amenities with Avalon hotel.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel and property, amazing staff. Every piece of my stay was dream like. I even extended another night.

Beautiful, classy, 100 year old property. Welcoming staff. We felt right at home. Wonderful pool area. Attention needed to several minor details. Ice is available 24/7 but only by asking at the front desk, and this is not mentioned in the brochure provided. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom (of our unit). Our room was dark, almost gloomy. It would be very cosy with proper lighting but there was no bright light available and two lights were non-functional. The door to our patio would bind on the sill because its hinges were sagging - an easy fix. The advertised access to the pools and grounds of the sister property turned out to be only through its hotel lobby and upscale restaurant - awkward in flip flops and wet bathing suit. It requires exiting the property and walking half a block. There are no signs marking the way. The valet on duty at the entrance knew nothing of this reciprocal guest access and sent us back to Ingleside, where neither that valet nor hotel staff could direct us. A picturesque, beautiful boutique hotel and an otherwise wonderful stay.

Room 30 was on the second floor at the end. The privacy was perfect. The room was in the bathroom in need of repairs and maintenance. The bedroom was great and the bed was amazing. Soft and comfy. The living room was spacious but there was only two chairs, coffee table and a credenza for the coffee and other items. The room was very quite even with neighbors. Black out drapes were a blessing and the patio/balcony had 2 chairs and a table to utilize. It was really a great stay but there were things that could be improved upon. The drapes in the living and bedroom were in need of a good cleaning and repair. The window in the bathroom had cracking/dryrot on the lower part of the window. The window shade had numerous areas where it was torn and it needed to be replaced. The shower head was amazing and water pressure made sure you had a spa experience. The products available for shampoo/conditioner/shower soap top notch. A little will go a long way so remember not to use a lot. You'll be in the shower a long time removing the suds, lol!!! All in all it was a special time celebrating an 81 year old birthday and what better place to celebrate than the Ingleside Estate and Bungalows.

Bathroom door was ‘pocket style’ and did not close normally, leaving wide gap. No privacy, uncomfortable.

Enjoyed our stay at the Ingleside however not sure it we would do it again based on the cost. We had called ahead to ask for early check in and were told that should be no problem, however when we arrived we were just told the guaranteed check in was 4pm and no effort was made to try and get our room ready earlier. Even when we saw our room had been cleaned, the reception desk said they needed to wait for cleaning to officially log it in rather than reach out to them proactively to check. Location is excellent and rooms were quaint, could use a little more lighting. Overall a lovely hotel but not worth the high cost.

My husband and I stayed here for a cousins' weekend in Feb. This is a beautiful, historic property. We requested a change from our first room and were immediately accommodated. Our new room was large, comfortable and convenient to where we parked our vehicle. The check-in was easy and staff were all helpful.
We had breakfast and drinks at Raymond's, the restaurant located at the hotel, and enjoyed them, but no other guests were there for breakfast when we went and service was slow. The pianists who played in the evening were both excellent and the servers were prompt and pleasant. Unfortunately, in Feb. it rained a few days and was too cold outside to use the pool. Also, we had to cross the inner courtyard to arrive at the front desk and restaurant area, because our room was in the back. It was muddy. They should have a solid path.

Nice large room and large bathroom with outdoor seating on a patio. The bathroom door was odd - didn't really close. Only a few blocks from downtown, but the blocks are quite long.
4.4
This property is amazing and Melville’s was outstanding as usual.
4.4
Wished our bungalow had a bathtub and a kettle. Other than that, we loved it. Excellent housekeeping. 😃
4.4
Pretty little gem, perfectly located in the center of Palm Springs. Nice touches in the room too, like good bathroom amenities and nice (warm) bathrobes.

I adored this hotel, fabulous time, fabulous staff and perfect location. Definitely will return!!

Loved this hotel! So charming and special. We really appreciated the history of the hotel as well.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is great, walking distance to downtown. We will definitely be back to enjoy the pool and Palm Springs again!
The only feedback we’d have is that our bed (room 23) and bedding was a bit uncomfortable. The mattress was hard and could use more plush comforter.

Historic Venue with beautiful rooms
4.4
All expectations were exceeded during our stay. The room was clean and quiet. The property was beautiful. The staff was kind and helpful. The poolside service was super convenient. Breakfast on the veranda was delicious. Walking distance to downtown made it easy to experience lots of restaurants and ice cream shops.
4.4
They could add a few more creature comforts like include breakfast and new pool towels, som aspects of the rooms are very old and need updating to just a coat of paint.
4.4
Wonderful ambience, perfect location, comfortable beds, excellent restaurant (Melvyn’s), lovely lobby with great coffee. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
4.4
Absolutely fabulous stay. We had a minor issue with the bed on day one, and the staff was extremely accommodating making sure we were satisfied on my birthday weekend trip. The restaurant is also amazing. Great food and ambiance. The cherry on top is that his hotel is Palm Springs designated historical landmark.

This property has so much history and character!
The food was amazing, rooms are beautiful, staff are welcoming.

Had a great stay.

A really lovely boutique hotel. 2nd stay - and hope to return. Lovely room with a large sitting area and proper patio with sun loungers and some grass. The pool is wonderful - big and rarely more than 6 people out there at any time. It also gets the sun almost the whole day long. Charming staff and really helpful.
4.4
Great getaway. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was also very good and the food was great. Definitely coming back!
4.4
The rooms are very quirky, lovely coffee in the morning, but a pastry wouldn’t go amiss.
The pool area is very Zen and lovely gardens around it. Having a Tesla charger on property is also very advantageous.. we were there for the hurricane, and find the staff very attentive to our safety and needs.

This property was once. "Crown Jewel" of Palm Springs, now it is, the Cubic Zirconia of the desert.
Everything's falling apart and needs tons of TLC

Such a nice weekend getaway! The pool was fantastic and the food, drinks and service was great! I have already booked another stay in September for my moms birthday!

This boutique hotel is a great alternative to a typical big name hotel. I love doing boutique hotels in Palm Springs because they feel so private and are less crowded. Never more than 4 people at the pool at once. We took our pug because it’s dog friendly and the private garden room was perfect for our dog! Everyone we encountered was very friendly! We will definitely be back!

You booked me a wrong reservation ??
Need a cans. I need you to cancel this reservation.

It was our first time in Palm Springs and we went for our anniversary. The estate was beautiful , very clean and not crowded at the pool. The room was perfect and a welcome cool place on the 118 degree heat day . Close to downtown for all shopping and dining . Will definitely be coming back.

The service, location, and property were wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

My husband and I come out to Palm Springs about 4 times a year. We like to stay in kid free places and prefer the bungalow style accommodations. This was our first time at Ingleside and we stayed in room 20. The property is tidy, the staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious. THE BEDS WERE SO COMFY! One of the best beds I’ve ever slept in. Pillows were perfect and the mattress was cozy. Our room could have used a couple aesthetics upgrades, but nothing was terrible. There is no artwork on the walls, the tv is off center, and the lighting in the living room is poor. Again, none of these items are a deal breaker. The accommodations are comfy cozy and spacious. The back patio with the lounge chairs are very nice to unwind alone outside if you don’t want to sit by the pool. The toilet in the bathroom of room 20 could be moved over about 3 inches as it’s about less than 1 inch from the wall when you sit down. If I were management that detail would be worth investigating….
The pool was nice, however, the music can only be heard as a whisper which some people might like. I’d personally like it a tad louder because they had it tuned into a fun pool vibe - possibly “yacht rock”
Will I be back? Maybe if the price is right!
4.4
The property was more run down than we expected for a nicer hotel - there was blood on the wall by our bed that we had to ask the cleaning staff to come wipe off. There are no outlets by the bed, so you have to charge your phone across the room, and only one small trash can in the bathroom. There’s no towel can by the pool, so some towels are left on chairs making it seem like they’re still taken. Overall, we’ve stayed at better properties in PS for a similar price - this seems to be a hotel that was in its prime 30 years ago but not quite kept up.

Great place

It is a wonderful place. My only issue was the bed was not comfortable at all.
4.4
Comfortable stay in a beautiful setting. Our bathroom was beautiful and clean, but each night a strange odor emanated from the plumbing. Couldn’t diagnose it ourselves and it didn’t ruin our stay, but curious. We loved the grounds, quiet, classic ambiance and friendly staff. I hope to be back!

The only extremely small negative was on Monday morning breakfast, it seems that the kitchen was probably already moving into the lunch menu and didn't give us the order as it was described on the menu. They just put something together quickly and the coffee was lukewarm. But our server removed the sandwich from our check and apologized, so this really ended up being a minor deal! Overall great experience and we'll be back!
