The place was very nice with very spacious rooms. The reception at the front desk was a little cold and I would have appreciated a welcome.

Enjoyed a quick get away at Borrego Springs. We enjoy walking the golf cart paths in the now defunct golf course. The sunset was beautiful. The restaurant was closed so we had a good dinner at Carleys.

Hotel is very outdated and needs maintenance. The room could have been cleaner and the pool was dirty as well. It was quiet at night so I’ll give them a star for this but this is more like an inn/motel than a resort.

Friendly staff and great location. Comfortable bed but odd smell from AC when entering the room - need to change filter most likely. Great pool and hot tub.

My room was very clean and comfortable. This was during the record heat, and I could make the room comfortable easily.

Excellent sized room. Staff was friendly. Convenient location. Appreciate the in-room microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Did not get time to experience any other amenties since I was there just for a overnight trip for stargazing

I think that it had too many lights for light pollution. But I love the quail that came around and the doves. And it was very quiet and safe and clean. I was sad that the spa was closed. there wasn't any restaurant open either in there. But I like the fact that it was so secluded in quiet. I love the fact that it had a fridge in it

The pool was the highlight here. The air condition was a godsend in this super hot place.

This property had very nice features. The pool looked nice, the staff was so friendly, the rooms were spacious. Some amenities from the room were missing like a phone or some of the soap but that wasnt too big of a deal. The spa and restaurant were closed but I went during off season. I wasnt the only one staying at the hotel, I saw quite a few different families so it would have been nice to have at least the restaurant open, but thats okay, still not a big deal. What WAS a big deal, was I went out after sundown and was doing the Cucaracha dance. Roaches everywhere! So when i went back to my room area i was hyper vigilant, I realized there were two dead in the hallway where my room was as well as one dead IN my room in the closet. I stayed 2 days and the ones in the hallway were never vacuumed up so that told me they didnt clean it often. I get they have a restaurant onsite so maybe thats why there were a ton outside but the restaurant was closed! All I needed was 1 to head towards the pool and i did NOT visit the pool this trip. There were big roaches and small roaches, enough to give me the creepy crawlies. BUT thats really the only issue I had.

Great value hotel with great views

Overall was a good stay. Couple things that could have made it better: the spa was closed, the restaurant was way over priced for the quality, and there is no room service even though advertised. The food was good but $14 for a basic yogurt parfait is insane. It was really hot during our stay so the room service would have been nice instead of having to go get the food at the restaurant ourselves. Other than that, everything else was pretty nice. Very clean place to stay.

All around well maintained resort, clean room, fast wifi, easy access to on-site gym, swimming pool and spa. Close to local restaurants and shops at Christmas Circle. A++, highly recommended if you travel to Borrego Springs area.

This is an isolated and unique spot in the SoCal desert. Borrego is a small cute place with all you need for a quiet getaway.

My room and the hallway smelled terrible.

It is a nice quiet hotel the two times we have stayed here. There is a restaurant on-site which is convenient as it would be too far to walk to any other place in town. We've only visited during the off season and the spa was closed.

I’ve stayed twice at this hotel, and both times the clean, contemporary rooms and pleasant, oasis-like atmosphere of the hotel struck me most. It was very quiet on our stay last Thursday.
The staff and lobby have all the basics, there is a very nice pool, and a hot tub too, although the hot tub is tucked away in a separate small, enclosed area lined with tall shrubs - hiding it from the pool area. This wouldn’t be ideal if you were there with kids and wanted to use both at the same time (kids in the pool, adults in the hot tub) since there’s no line of sight.
But that’s it for caveats - otherwise it’s a quiet, pretty, well-maintained hotel, and in an area full of the stark beauty of the desert. Plus, five minutes or less to the small downtown, where there are restaurants, stores, the visitor center and gallery etc. Eating at Red Ocotillo there was a real treat.

Borrego Springs is a great secret in the Southern California desert. Beautiful views, lovely people and peaceful surroundings. Borrego Springs Resort and Spa is well situated within the community, with lovely grounds, clean simply appointed rooms and large welcoming pool. Check it out, you'll love it.

Great Staff at the restaurant!

Very nice. Quiet. Less expensive alternative to La Casa del Zorro. 5 mins from town. Rooms are more like 1 bedroom apartments.

Borrego Springs Resort is an older resort with two well maintained pools and jacuzzies. The beds are comfortable, and the towels are soft. The Arches restaurant located within the resort is convenient, has fair pricing, and has good food. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The State Park and sculptures are nearby. I'll be back!

All places to eat closed at 8 pm.
There are no public transport that I noted.

The Wi-Fi was slow and in some cases non-existent.

There used to be a huge gulf field but they just kept a small portion of it. I can understand watering in a dry environment is a challenge. Walking around of the old field was great.

Facility is nice but improvements can be made. The hotel WIFI is extremely slow and the TV remote sucked. Nice, clean, comfortable 1-bedroom.
