We prepaid for our room. When we got there they had given it away. No refunds because we went thru experian. Experian told us to contact the hotel. Very frustrating.

Skip the Best Western and stay here!! The staff was freindly, the room was clean, and breakfast was great. Cannot reccomend enough if youre in La Grande.

"This is the worst hotel I have ever visited in my life. The stay was disgusting—the room was dirty, all the appliances were patched up, and the cost was outrageous. Those carpets haven't been cleaned in years, and the bathroom was even worse. The toilet was detached from the floor, and the bathtub was filthy. I had to go out and buy bleach just to be able to use the bathroom. The name *N.L.* does not do justice to the hotel; it's disgusting."

I like that they had replaced the floor. I couldn't tell if they just have hard water or neglect to clean chrome in bathroom.

Staff was friendly (when you can get a hold of them) toilets there were not flushing properly, rooms was clean, out side could use some help. In the back they had a bunch of old mattress laying around

Very friendly staff. Good nights sleep. Windows were so dirty you couldn’t see out of them. Could use some minor repairs and a good coat of paint.

Bed was comfortable. Very strong perfumed cleaner smell in room. Gave me headache. Shower head fell off when taking a shower. Very expensive for what it was.

Unfortunately, I found the hotel quite nice however, I felt that it really could’ve been cleaner. Obviously the housekeeping is just not paying attention.

Front desk checkin lady was stern and unfriendly. But the room was adequate and clean.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Have never encountered such a rude receptionist. I walked in the door and first thing she stated was,”we don’t check in until 4:00pm”. I told her I could read and that was not my question. Besides the empty- parking lot not sure why they had a 4:00pm check in. I have only experienced that in Las Vegas where they have to clean 100s of rooms not 4. If the rooms are available most hotels let you check in, but not my issue. I simply was trying to verify my reservation for that night. I have traveled world wide and never experienced such a rude front desk. I thought French were rude to Americans, but this person was truly on the next level. Maybe a really bad day but not sure why it was taken out on me. I would have canceled my reservation and left from that experience based on the poor condition of the hotel, not the front desk, but had a non-refundable reservation from Expedia. Will not make that mistake again. Next night went to Pendleton Oregon, and the hotel receptionist guessed where I had stayed from my description of my experience, and said you stayed at the worst hotel in LaGande Oregon. I found that very amusing and accurate, she asked me if I saw any mice in my room like she did. Best Western across the street is cheaper and the parking lot was full.

Good value. Room could have been cleaner. Never good get into the pool and the clerk didn’t offer to help other than reprogramming my key

Seemed a little over priced. Bed was pretty well worn - we had a king size bed - deep depressions where people have slept. maybe flipping the mattress more often?? Breakfast was okay. We were in town for the car show - wondering if there could be some sort of discount rate negotiated for this type an event?? I'm pretty sure the car show brings in revenue for the community.

Customer service below terrible! The toilet flooded and they did nothing to take care of it, other than offer for us to use the bathrooms by the pool. They did not even offer to clean the toilet water off of the bathroom floor, very unsafe and definitely UNSANITARY! Yuck!! Oh did I mention they charged me twice for the room, and was told “It’s not my problem.” I will Never EVER stay at Americas best or any other properties associated with this chain!

The person that helped us check in was very friendly. They had put us on the second floor, and required stairs to the room, no elevator. When I explained we had just come from spending a week in a condo in Lake Tahoe, that had 65+ steps down/up, she secretly put us on the first floor. We were so thankful. Only real complaint was the very dirty floor in our room #123. It made our feet black, which was disappointing after we just took showers.

The help at checkin was better than previous visits. The property was cleaner than previous visits. As far as safety, the the secondary latch lock on our room#117, door was loose,and not secure. Overall the property was nicer than previous visits.

There was a homeless man casing cars in the parking lot.

Had to move rooms three times. First cigarette smell was over bearing in a non smoking room. Second was dog urine smell over bearing. I gave up after the 3rd move.

My room did noy have facial tissues at check in, which makes me wonder what else was missed. TV remote barely functioned, and the Netflix button never worked. What is the WiFi password, I still do not know. Most hotels no longer even bother with them. And the treadmill did not work. Likely because the stop button appeared smashed in.

Staff was very friendly and facility was in a good location. Dog friendly!

We loved the 24 hour pool. The beds were comfortable. Our room was near the pool so we could hear folks coming and going. There were some strange noisy folks at the pool that were talking on their phones via speaker the whole time. The breakfast was alright, nothing spectacular but oatmeal, microwaveable sandwiches, pastries, fruit, juice, cereal. Check in easy, staff was very responsive, friendly and helpful.
