We picked this place because we had a car and they had parking. Free! Parking is available in the hotel under ground garage or in the hotel parking lot. We did not have any meals here, but they have a restaurant and bar on site. We had a view of Porto and the ocean, ask for a high floor. We had two single beds, but they were together like a king. When traveling in Europe we will go with single beds if they don’t have a king because other wise the beds are too small. Room was clean, staff was great. No microwave, but we had a refrigerator (no freezer) and a kettle. No coffee maker, but out of the 3 hotels we’ve stayed at on this trip it’s the first that a kettle in the room.

Nice hotel, poorly design lobby entrance that has constant lingering cigarette smoke. Inadequate ventilation in smoking area situated at entrance. Yuck

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. I arrived at the hotel 1.5 hours before the official check-in time, hoping to check in early, but the receptionist refused to accommodate me. I understand that early check-in is not always possible, but the way the receptionist handled the situation was completely unprofessional. They were rude and dismissive, offering no explanation or alternative solution.
To make matters worse, when the actual check-in time came around, my room still wasn't ready. I ended up waiting well past the check-in time before finally being allowed into my room. The lack of organization and poor customer service left a bad impression, and I certainly won't be staying here again. Avoid this place if you value your time and expect decent service.

Tried calling the reception multiple times with no answer,
My requests were ignored.
The receptionest tried to add an extra charge for the pool usage, although it wasn't mentioned anywhere

Location within walking distance to many amenities, parks, shops, restaurants and cafes. Room was very large and quiet with a fridge and 2 bottles of complimentary water and free, reliable wifi. Food for purchase from the bar and restaurant was excellent as were the servers. We did not try the buffet breakfast.
Whatever you do, do NOT order room service no matter how exhausted you may be. We were shocked at the poor quality of what we received for breakfast and there is a surcharge. Food was stale, dry and poor quality as if it was prepared hours earlier or reheated from yesterday's leftovers though it was not hot at all. We received hard, dry french fries when we thought we would receive breakfast potatoes, they missed our order of eggs, bacon and sausage was hard and inedible as well. What we thought we fresh fruit bowls were full of liquid and soggy as if dumped from a can. It almost seemed as if they were insulted by our request and gave us the restaurants leftovers from the previous day. Needless to say we couldn't eat most of it - what a waste!
Other con is there is nothing to do on site for families if tired or need downtime (i.e. a pool). The tv in the room kept breaking up and cutting out and was unreliable. The lobby is nice for lounging as there are a few areas with couches for hanging out and a few tvs showcasing sports as well.

Staff super friendly and helpful. The hotel is not close to much amenities but with a taxi is fine; I prefer not to be in very busy areas.
Clean, beautiful hotel.

I loved this hotel although on first impression you may think its too far away from Porto and doesnt look very attractive from the outside its really whats inside that counts.
The breakfast was amazing inc GLUTEN FREE corner with cornflakes & croissants 🙌🙌
The shower in the room had great pressure, an Iron that actually was better than the one at home, a fridge, Great Wifi.
Room service, Housekeeping all 1st class and the jewel in the crown was Patricia in the spa!! Best massage yet. Its the staff that make this hotel. Dont worry about location UBER is 2 minutes away and this hotel will save you hundreds of pounds compared to porto old town. Great break away

The hotel was lovely and clean. Suite was spacious and views were beautiful. Only one cup and one robe, and housekeeping didn’t come until we were back for the night but luckily we weren’t too bothered about having the room cleaned. Would return.

Great stay, great view of the city’s comfortable bed, I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. The only feedback I have is that the outside front of the hotel has a smokers section and anytime they smoke all the smoke comes in to the bar area. Aside from that everything was great.

We are regular IHG members and stay in Holiday Inn hotels around the world. This is a truly lovely hotel, with views across the River Douro. Large spacious rooms. Restaurant and bar on site. Helpful staff. 20 mins to the airport. 15 mins walk to the metro. Many shops within walking distance. I would definitely stay again. We had food from the restaurant once which was good. One not so good area. We didn't try the buffet breakfast due to illness but had a room service breakfast instead. The hot item arrived cold, old scrambled eggs from the buffet prepared from powder, and the selection of breads were old and squashed, no jams or honey etc. I'm sure the actual buffet would have been much better had we felt well enough to try it. Overall still fab.

We had a lovely 4 nights in Porto. Ideal as we prefer to stay a little outside the main touristy areas. The Apartments meant that we had more than enough space for a party of 3. The lactation was close enough to two metro stations but good enough for a 30 min downhill walk to Sao Bento and Porto Gaia. Overall had a great stay and if we were to return to Porto would stay here again

Very comfortable room. Very clean. 12 minute walk from the Porto metro.
Just a small hickup at checkin, The room was supposed to be available for 15h00 but we only got it at 15h45.
Overall we were very pleased with the room.

Only if you don't mind walking 15 minutes from the metro station and taking a 10-minute train to the area of the main attractions.
