The hotel is located at a great location with a friendly staff. I barely had to use public transportation as I could easily to my destinations. It only took me 10 min to walk to Palermo Lolli train station to head back to the airport!! The room was clean with a surprisingly modern washroom. No complaint other than it needed to be re-painted (that’s me really nitpicking). I’ll definitely go back when I return to Palermo. :)

Hotel is run down. There are places to walk to nearby but lots of trash in the street and graffiti. Service was good and staff was friendly. I tried to use the gym but was told except for treadmills, it was private and I could not use it.

The Hotel is located just few steps from Teatro Massimo, and downtown in general. Parking was not a problem at all. The room was confortable, quite big in the renovated wing of the building, so moslty brand new. Breakfast was good, maybe not a wide variaty but good choice for sweets and salted food. Due to Covid I could not enjoy it as I was supposed to. Staff is very kind in general. I really do raccomend it.

Once you have negotiated the congested and rubbish festooned streets of Palermo, it's a relief to see the well maintained Ai Cavalieri Hotel close to all the action the city can offer. Everything is correct and as it should be and the air conditioning works a treat. Local (non tourist) restaurants are dotted all around the hotel and the hotel staff couldn't have been more welcoming.

The location of the hotel is within walking distance to most attractions, the staff is so friendly and the restaurant right adjacent to the hotel is phenomenal, the “beaded owners” ( they have the most amazing long beards ) are out of this world

Hotel was close to the shopping streets, around there were a few restaurants, it felt very local, and away from the tourist. We stayed in a part of the building that was renovated with new modern design. Shower and bathroom area was not enclosed, so it was like a loft.

Perfect location for visiting Palermo! Close walking distance to the main attractions, but it is located at a quiet neighborhood. One suggestion to the front desk will be keeping a schedule of the popular airport bus and being able to direct guests to the exact bus stop with the ongoing construction there.

Parking is $12 per night. Do not park on street even if guys on street show you a spot.just go to front door and inform the staff to take your car. Breakfast is not included and nothing immediate outside the hotel. Need to walk 2-3 blocks but coffee shops everywhere

Just returned from a 2 night stay. At check in, the service went above and beyond making sure we got a tour of the hotel and all the information needed to explore the local area. Rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from. Location is very to close to everything yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be relaxing.

The best feature about the Best Western Ai Cavalieri is its location, near all the exciting rush at the Teatro Politeama and Teatro Massimo, but in a nice leafy street, surrounded by some quaint and upscale wine bars et al. The lobby and lovely Riad-syle lounge display a lot of character, which the room sadly lacks. We found our room to look somewhat antiquated and really small, smaller than all the other acomodations we booked in Sicily. I really disliked the bathroom, with its cheap cladding, but you know, Im a girl...Mattresses are locally-appropriate, i.e. on the hard side and if its a weekend in summer, you may not sleep as well as we did, due to the street exposure. But we enjoyed the open window and the tiny balcony with a view. TV is nice and modern and features SKY movies. Palermo shines with many individualistic, high-end B&Bs. But if you prefer the uncomplicated comfort of a hotel that fortunately doesnt look like a chain franchise, then this Best Western Ai Cavalieri will do just fine, if not memorably. Wine Bar with de rigueur hipster-bartender-with-attitude is adjacent and part of the hotel.
