All I can say is that the reception staff and manageress when I arrived were appalling and refused to let me check in so I had to go and book a different hotel. Costing more money and effort.
I had booked as normal with hotels.com so had a genuine paid for booking .
On arrival I was repeatedly told I had to show a photo id or provide a card for pre authorisation.
I had neither with me on this occasion and offered a bank card saved on my phone wallet . They refused this option.
The staff unswervingly relied on their terms and conditions ( which were only sent after they had accepted my booking and had my payment!) and quickly got a hotel owners card out and said take it up with the director . They would not let me stay .
Very inhospitable and very bad attitude and with a ready pile of their directors business cards I suggest they have done this before .
This really upset me and so far has cost me money with no apologies or refund offered.
I was totally surprised by their unfathomable attitude from what is supposed to be a hospitality industry.
There was zero hospitality and only repeated “ computer says no” “refer to our T&Cs “nonsense .
I have never experienced this before and it is likely that they have acted with no regard to consumer rights or laws.
I await a directors response but in the meantime :
Avoid this place like the plague .

BATHROOM DOOR NEED REPAIR

Nice convenient location. Spacious room, well appointed. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on food. Pool is small and gym very basic

Really enjoyed our two nights stay
3.9
Good location, parking is limited and at £20 per day which seems a little steep. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was super tiny, didn't have room to put our luggages, couldn't open bathroom door when wardrobe is open, barely had room to walk really but the bathroom is very nice, clean and new, lovely showerheads. Unfortunately we had very noisy neighbours who used the landing as extended part of their room at 1am, even after being told off by hotel staff, so we got zero sleep..

We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. The room had a comfortable bed and the rooms were clean.
3.9
The hotel was clean , the rooms were lovely and modern and the breakfast was smashing
3.9
The hotel was very nice.. The staff were very nice but there is no where to park. They have a small car park and if your lucky enough to get a space it will cost you £20 for 24hrs but if you leave to go anywhere your space is lost and no refund. And stillno where to park.

First impressions not great due to absolutely zero parking within a good distance. Arrived at the hotel and room was ready slightly early so we could check in straight away. Room itself was lovely beds were comfortable. Bathroom is what let it down. Plug was blocked with so much hair you couldn’t have a shower without having a bath at the same time and shower screen was too small for the shower so bathroom flooded. We weren’t given many towels either.
Good nights sleep overall however we were woken at 6.45am by another guest knocking on their door and using their mobile on the corridor. The room doors do not block out any noise.
Breakfast was ok nothing to write home about but satisfied everybody. Bacon, sausage, egg, beans and mushrooms alongside some very undercooked potatos. Toast and pasties also included along with fruit juices, cereal, fruit and yogurts.
We waited for the lift when we arrived but it took over 10 minutes to get to us. It is very slow so if you are unable to climb the stairs I would request a ground floor room as there are a lot of stairs.
All in all a good stay but I’d say the overall cleanliness and noise let it down

Expensive, but friendly within walking distance of the beach and town, the aged building could do with a bit of loving, reception staff could not be more helpful, could do with a good lick of paint and not patched painted with different colour/shade of paint.
Cleaners could do with putting more effort in, dust everywhere on light and plug switches and dead insects on window sills that do not look like they been dusted in months. Huge spiders web above bed.
Staff stood outside front smoking is not a good sight.
Breakfast £11 if bought in advance but extra £5 on the day.
Had to ask for towels as no towels left after the room was serviced, the towels were like sandpaper and were not big enough to wrap around an average sized person.
Would we use again? No
Would we recommend? No

Only stayed for a night, not a cheap room at £150, parking available…at £20 a day, not a coffee shop in the surrounding, coffee machine broken at the hotel. Not working shower and no shower gel been refilled! Squeaky floor board everywhere, not just in the room, noisy! Worst room I ever booked!
3.9
Discovered that there was a charge of £20 for parking which was not made clear at the point of booking
3.9
Single room for work trip. Small but functional and clean.

Great location! We stayed in the premier room. The bed was lovely and comfortable. There were no toiletries, despite saying on the website there is a selection.
The breakfast was very nice!
The pool was run down, over crowded and the water was not clear. They used lots of chlorine to balance this. Not pleased with the pool. But overall we had a great stay.
3.9
Just what I expected, decent price point and location good. Parking a nightmare in the whole area. Car park was full and street parking rammed. The hotel is clean, decent breakfast. It’s a little tired but that’s ok.
3.9
Room was spacious and could accommodate 2 adults and 3 children. Any issues we had were addressed by the staff
Good location for the beach
3.9
Room was not serviced during stay. Spa was ok. Pool was very small and dirty.
3.9
Reception staff were patient, helpful and calm considering how busy it was at times. Bar staff were helpful too. Air conditioning excellent in a large family room. Good power shower. Convenient for walking to Durley Chine beach. Lift available if needed. Wi-Fi available as well as normal TV. Not smart TV so no Netflix etc.
Flaws: parking area at the back of the hotel way too small considering the size of the hotel. Street parking available nearby if you look carefully. Small area in front of hotel to temporarily park in while you offload/on load luggage. I didn’t notice any ramps for disabled guests. Swimming pool was very small. I had to reactivate my key card six times for my room which was really annoying.
Overall the only thing stopping me from staying here again is the parking difficulty at peak summer times.

Lovely hotel, close to beach, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet

This property is in a wonderful location. Short walk to the beach and prerty close to Bournemouth pier.
However, the rooms although dated could just been cleaned better. On arrival there was just lots of dust floating around the room. Not great if you have asthma.
Behind the tv there was thick layers of dust that hadnt probably been cleaned in months.
We found a pait of earing on the bedside table that was probbaly the previous occupants. House keeping should have removed this, im guessing they did a very rushed job. Its a shame it just needs a good deep clean.
3.9
I would not recommend this hotel. The so called twin room was more like a double with two single beds put together. Even though I booked a twin it was not presented as one. I was meant to separate the beds apparently. I did not pay nearly £100 to have to move furniture around. The carpet was not vacuumed, the cold tap on the bath did not work, the air conditioning unit was faulty, it leaked and threw ice chunks into the room, also one of the beds had not been changed. I also got charged £100 extra because I didn't have photo id. I did eventually get that back though. I found some of the staff to be rude. I did make a complaint to the manager, this is when I finally got back the £100 that was taken. All i was offered as compensation was another stay at a reduced rate but out of season. Not good enough for me!

The room was lovely, the customer service was fantastic.

Breakfast was good , comfortable beds ...hotel car park £20 paunds per night . On street parking for free .
Very squeaky floors around whole hotel - if you are light sleeper need to get earplugs.

Good

Parking is very expensive. If you live and go somewhere else you find no parking at all. It doesn't count even if you paid for the 24hr stay. On the side of the road there's no parking spaces available at all.

The hotel like all hotels in Bournemouth is old
It has been updated a bit
Or room was extremely small and the bathroom was extremely small
In f fact if you were slightly over weight you probably wouldn’t fit into the shower
There was no facility to hang towels
On the positive side the room was immaculate and the bed very comfortable
The breakfast was ok but the Europeans wouldn’t like it as no cheese or ham
The breakfast was well cooked and poached eggs available if you asked
Good selection of cereals and teas
No latte coffee tho
Altogether for a few days it was fine
There’s a good bar and a swimming pool which has to be a bonus
3.9
Room was comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly
3.9
In good position for beach and town
3.9
It was brilliant stay, we absolutely love it. Helpful staff and leasure room is brilliant.
3.9
The staff were friendly and reasonable value for money. But the ambience, carpets, building, facilities all looked outdated for a 4 star rated hotel.
3.9
Comfortable twin room on 3rd floor with plenty of space and air conditioning (which was needed to cool the room, given a rare heatwave).
Many young staff in hospitality roles, most of whom were lacking in confidence and/or enthusiasm. Bar staff were hard to find and not very engaging.
Hotel has a great position, close to the town centre and even closer to the cliffs and beaches to the West of the pier.
Possibly little tired in places, the public areas were not particularly comfortable or appealing. The Forest Room, to which dog owners were directed for breakfast, is particularly redolent of the “smokers’ room” in 1990s offices… dog owners are welcome, but not that welcome…
3.9
Breakfast could be a bit more varied.
Staffs are very helpful and nice.

Our first impression about our room was poor, firstly we booked 2 adults and 2 children. Then when we tried to get to our room our card took forever to work. Then when we came in there was only a double bed. Then we went to the reception and asked them for beds for our kids. Our bathroom was locked and we couldn't get in until somebody came. When we got single beds we had to request a second matress since it wasnt comfortable. Then when we tried to iron my daughter's clothes their iron burned her sleeve causing a hole. Staff were okay
3.9
Room and en-suite very small; with a bath not a shower box. No space around the basin to put your toiletries. I forgot my hairdryer so had to use the hotel hairdryer which was really bad, the handle kept folding. Quite noisy at night specially when we were trying to sleep. Limited parking space for the amount of guests. We parked down the road 8 mins walking from the hotel. Our stay was okay but I don’t think we will be back.
3.9
Car parking should be told that you have to pay upon booking . Alan comes as a bit of a shock when you realise you have to pay😊 there’s no free parking unless you can find space outside ! But it is cheaper than our parking places 😊 just have to make sure you get there early to get a space, not many spaces in the parking area !
3.9
Good clean room. Very friendly staff. Good value bar prices
3.9
Room badly laid out.Double bed against wall .Shower base corner at floor level caught toes and side of feet on entry and exit from bathroom plus no instructions on how to use shower controls.Slatted wooden window blind covered in dust.
3.9
Staff very helpful, 8 mins walking distance to the beach, comfy room and great breakfast. I would definetely stay again.

Finding a car park space was hard
