This is an absolutely beautiful hotel! They do a pre-check-in, which made the actual check in very quick. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean, and the kitchen was equipped with the small things I needed (like a fork). I can't say enough good things about my stay.

Really nicely redone elegant 19th century waterfront hotel in a really pleasant little town. It's worth paying up for the ocean view. The only negative was that the wifi wasn't great - maybe that's really a positive since you can stare at your phone anywhere.

We enjoyed our stay at the Palace Hotel. Can't beat the very walkable location, free parking, the Victorian decor and the hotel's place in Pt history (ask the front desk for the history sheet). One warning: Bring your earplugs. We were located in a front room and the windows did little to block the noise from Water Street. Very quiet at night, but the early morning sounds featured trucks backing up, foghorns and screaming seagulls.

Wonderful Victorian era hotel. Friendly and efficient staff, Perfect room in a beautiful hotel. Stayed in different rooms over several days. All were great. Kudo's to hotel staff, Michael, Jan Marie, and everyone we met.

Great facility… old building but that is the charm of the place.

The property has great character. Old motif. You'll need to walk stairs... little alcoves and hideaways add to the charm. No AC or elevators. A bit of a challenge for us older types. We loved it, however.

Location is good, walk distance to the beach, restaurants and stores, the staffs are very friendly and helpful! Room is spacious and has everything we need. The building is old but beautiful. However it might be little bit harder to carry the luggage since it has no elevator.

It was delightful to be there. Such an interesting history. Great staff, especially JanMarie. Perfect location with easy access to all.

I don’t like to use the word “unique” but this hotel is pretty close to being unique. We definitely plan to return

Amazing Victorian themed hotel

Loved the vintage character of the building. The location is great and close to almost all Port Townsend has to offer.

Unique vintage hotel. Very clean and quiet. Liked the updated room. Bathroom/kitchen facilities were excellent. Water pressure amazing. Linens lovely. Bed frame noisy - needs changing/fixing. Mattress itself was okay, but could use an update as well. Overall we enjoyed our quiet stay in this historical town. Thank you!

The Palace Hotel is a beautiful older building from it looks like tour of the century. The property has been very tastefully, either restored or kept up. It's hard to tell which, and it is filled with antiques and really cool things from a time long gone. The only issue people might be concerned with is there does not appear to be an elevator, So if that's an issue, it's something to consider. Other than that, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are huge and it is exactly the kind of experience that modern hotels lack.

The staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful. This hotel has great ambience and if you like vintage details, this is a great place to stay.

Quaint hotel with spacious room. Challenging to bring luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Room could use a window fan. The box fan provided doesn’t do enough at night when the blinds are closed. My phone plug wouldn’t stay in the outlet. Those could use a little updating. Otherwise a nice stay.

The Palace Hotel is utterly charming and comfortable. ANd nicely located as well.

This unique historic hotel is a treat to explore and use as a base to enjoy Pt Townsend. Its also a convenient walk to ferry and amenities. The only downside is the warm spaces; even with fans and open windows. (The seagull's morning serenade is overated.) Our next visit will be in autumn and earn 5 stars!

Lovely spot for a quick visit!

We loved this historic hotel located right in the heart of Port Townsend. We stayed for two nights in one of the loft rooms which was a nice modern room with a kitchenette. Everything was clean and we had all the items we needed on site. Check-in was easy and the front desk employee was very friendly and clearly loves the hotel. We had fun walking through and sitting in the Victorian-style sitting areas and checking out all the fun historic features of the building. We appreciated the free parking lot out back, but one night when it was full we still easily found a spot to park right outside. Port Townsend gets pretty quiet after 5pm, but there are still plenty of restaurants near by. We ate out one night and used the kitchen to warm up some food we grabbed at one of the nearby grocery stores another night. This was a great base for sightseeing and was also very comfortable for evenings relaxing in our room. We would happily stay here again any time. Can't recommend highly enough! (Most rooms do not have A/C, which the hotel did send us an email about before our visit to make sure we knew what to expect. There were a number of fans in the room. Our loft suite was on the back of the building with direct afternoon sunshine, so it would have been pretty warm even with the fans in the room, so we were very pleasantly surprised to find a portable AC unit in the room. I do not think these are in all of the rooms though, as the water-facing rooms would be much cooler).

Like stepping back in time! Wonderfully decorated and furnished. If you are booking a romantic getaway, don’t tell your significant other it is supposedly haunted😳 We wish we had more time just to hang out on the premises.
