Clean, beautiful property. Close to the beach and a bus stop right in front to make it easy to explore!

Lovely quiet, relaxed atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff and excellent thermal facilities

This is most certainly not a four star hotel.
Pros - staff at the restaurant were extremely attentive and the food was delicious. Near to Samt’Angelo and the water taxi.
Cons - the room was extremely loud and you could hear other guests doors slam all day and night. The front desk staff were generally helpful but only suggested their own restaurant and had no suggestions for off property dining. Another guest heard us ask and immediately came up to us to share how to get to Sant’Angelo with the water taxi and that there were way more options over there. The thermal pools were lovely but they all closed at 8pm so we only got to enjoy them once as it was way too warm during the day.
Ischia is a beautiful island but if we came to visit again we would definitely stay in Sant’Angelo instead.

The Hotel San Giorgio Terme is truly a wonderful hotel on the beautiful island of Ischia!
The hotel is truly beautiful and the entire staff was accommodating and professional.
Both of our meals were delicious and the service was excellent! The dining room, like the hotel was also beautiful.
The front desk staff was really great! They were accommodating and professional in every way. Making sure that our stay was wonderful! Their recommendation of taking the small water taxi to nearby Sant’Angelo was a wonderful afternoon for me and my wife and I am sure will be a lasting memory!
What a wonderful hotel!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff are amazing and helpful. If you want a vacation close to the beach this is the hotel to book. The only downside to this hotel is, it’s a bit far from the town if you want something closer to the action, this hotel is not for you.

Most amazing hotel for the cost. Convenient to beach and beautiful Island of Santangelo via water taxi. Staff could not be more attentive and accommodating. Incredible views from every room. Food was out of this world. Natural thermal pools perfect. We will be back again and again.

Nice hotel and location for a relaxing stay on the island of Ischia, great restaurant and service

On Arrival we took a taxi and it was 25 Euro. We did not know or investigate the bus until we were settled in our rooms. Bus is about 1.70 Euro, but you have to deal with luggage and locals. Rooms we had were facing the hills in the back and had porches. Loved the cool lavenders and blues and all clean tile floors. Thermal pool was great. Breakfast was very adequate and sat on terrace overlooking the ocean. Beach was a walk down the hill and to the right. Pebbly gray voocanic sand. Water was clear and fell to depth pretty quick. Many great little places to eat all along the beach. We were there in early August and it was not full. This island is a retreat that the Italians come and much quieter and nicer than Capri

Had a very pleasant and relaxed stay on Ischia, the hotel was well worth the money and a bargain when u consider what you get. The staff truly make the hotel a great place to stay, the layout is a bit dis-jointed but they have made the best of the situation.

Room was ok....Air conditioning was feeble at best. The front desk was very helpful. What is the saving grace of this hotel is the location. Breakfast was kinda poor and service was awful.

Nice hotel. Great beach access. Cool indoor spa/pool. Lots of outdoor space to gater with friends. Breakfast's were good. Dinner's were mediocre to good.

The experience of the hotel was really disappointing. Some of the front desk staff were very unhelpful. Though the hotel has a pool and beach access, they do not provide towels. The overall look of the hotel is dated. The bar and restaurant staff were very kind and helpful, it almost seemed as if they worked in a different place! Would not recommend it.

Great location for the Maronti Beach. Superb service in the restaurant. Definitely recommend including the half board option as the food was fantastic. The breakfast "wow"ed as well. We had two rooms since we have 3 children and they put an extra bed in one of the rooms. Family friendly; however, the spa/indoor pool is for 18 or older. That was disappointing since they had just raised the age limit.

My wife and I live in Napoli and just completed a short weekend stay here to celebrate our anniversary. For the American's reading this, the room itself is not comparable to what we think of a 4-star hotel, but if you have traveled around Europe enough, you will not be disappointed at all. The hotel in general is beautiful and the terme itself is wonderful. I would highly recommend this place.
As for the service, we were blown away. I will admit that there is little English spoken, but fortunately we speak a little Italian so this wasn't an issue. Italian and German are definitely the preferred languages here, but there was enough English if that is your only language. That said, the service here was phenomenal. Everyone from the front desk to the dinner staff went above and beyond to ensure you were having a pleasant stay. My wife commented several times how pleased we were.
We also opted for the half-board option and were not disappointed. The dinners were great and well worth the small additional cost. In fact, I don't believe we could have purchased a meal of the same quality for a less money outside the hotel. I don't think it would have even been close.
All and all, we were very pleased and will certainly go back!

Bright, cheerful, comfortable and with very friendly and helpful staff we enjoyed a relaxing and restful holiday in lovely surroundings, lots of flowers and blue seas, and pretty fishing villages. The only minor drawback, was the steep pathway and/or steps up to the hotel entrance from the beach. Fortunately it only takes two or three minutes and we were not affected but it may affect people with mobility problems.
The food was amazing with a very comprehensive buffet breakfast, and four course lunches and dinners if required (cheaper if you elect to upgrade from B&B to half or full board). Masses of local produce used by the chef, and very acceptable and affordable local wines.
Reception staff able to arrange any number of excursions etc, - we did three to Pompeii/Versuvius; The Amalfi Coast, and to Capri and all went without any hitches at all, being collected and returned to the hotel. There were no unexpected items on our bill on check-out, and tipping is not expected - although we did spoil them a little bit because we had had such a wonderful holiday.
Two pools - both thermal, one inside and one out, and all the other trappings of a super spa hotel. Fishing festival with fireworks whilst we were there - quite spectacular (end September), and live entertainment in hotel occasionally.
The staff were great without exception - all willing to try out their english, and advise us in italien.
Would recommend to anyone, although may not suit children and teenagers so well.

Staff was very friendly, they even kept a table for me in the restaurant because I arrived late (9:15pm) which is after dinner ends in the hotel. It is totally geared towards tourists, and as one reviewer commented, most info was in German (although they spoke English).
The bus from the ferry terminal (Ischia Porto) was convenient because it drops you off right in front of the hotel, you do have to walk up a steep paved driveway though. I also agree that the dining room is very hospital-like. although it is clean and modern, it lacks a bit of charm. Food was good, but you would likely get bored of that dining room, so plan to go into Ischia Porto for a meal or 2. Beach is a bit narrow and crowded to me, it was high season though...but don't expect tranquility on the beach. (they do have a section of beach chairs and cabana for you though) I'd say an overall good value though.

The Hotel was spotless, all the staff are lovely and friendly. Be warned though that the resort caters mainly for the Germans, so if you know a little German it will be advantageous as the Restaurants don't seem to be so willing to chat openly to the English and some restaurant have staff who know no English at all. The Hotel, although 4 star, does not have the usual luxuries, like an iron, trouser press, etc. I even had to ask reception for additional pillows. The pool is definitely worth a try and although I didn't try out the spa for a massage as they did look pricey, I'm sure it would be worth it!

Great Hotel, friendly and helpful staff,(helped chase up lost luggage) room with a balcony and seaview, wonderful, thermal pool magic, good clean private part of beach, good local transport connections, Bus and taxi to port, not many shops or restaurants within walking distance, but some eating available on beach. Ferry a bit scary, they seem to sell more tickets than available seats, which caused trouble with some locals. Would happily go to this place again. Very Hilly island, but green and lush. Ischia Port very civilised. A very pleasant holiday

We had a wonderful holiday at this hotel , the room was great and the service was very good .The room was very clean and the room attendants were very friendly. The restaurant was very clean and airy and the food was very good , however you could only order food at the organised meal times and didn't cater for sandwiches or later snacks . We would certainly tell our friends about this hotel as we did have a very good holiday .

We thought the San Giorgio Terme was fantastic. A terrific location, gorgeous clean rooms, the staff are magnificent, the thermal pool, and the spa! It was a dream come true!

good value hotel with great views, close to the beach and a trendy bar area with a outside patio overlooking the ocean. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel to Ischia centre if so desired but good restaurants on the beach.

Quiet location next to beach with good bus service into town. Overall maybe more 3 star than 4 star but good food and helpful friendly service

We stayed at San Giorgio Terme for 8 nights as a closing to our honeymoon and it was excellent. The rooms were spotless clean and the hotel staff were helpful. The beach access is very convenient and there is a nice thermal pool right on the property. The best feature of this hotel is certainly the restaurant with delicious food and 5 star service. However do not expect wild parties or lots of nightlife. The area was very quiet. We really loved this place.

Friendly service, good location and good food. Our "view" room was blocked by a tree.
