Stop prior to catching train late at night. Very friendly and helpful.

This is a unique and historically significant property as it was a stop on the Underground Railroad. Charles, the host, will lovingly tell you all about it! My family and I felt welcomed and enjoyed the communal breakfast with a wedding party that was also staying there. Don’t come here if you’re looking for a schmancy spa-type place. Do come if you love people, history and supporting local small businesses.

Charles was a gracious host. He made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and always had a smile on his face and friendly conversation. This property is far enough away from downtown to avoid the hustle and bustle but close enough that getting down there when you want to is no problem. Charles also gave us great directions to get downtown with almost zero traffic. Breakfast was great! I would gladly stay here again.

Charles, the Innkeeper is the sole attraction and reason to come back. He is friendly, engaging, helpful, and a great storyteller and host. He explained the Inn was once a stop on the Underground Railroad. He serves a great breakfast and creates a real sense of community amongst guests. Everybody talks to each other and interacts. A very friendly vibe. It is a far more pleasant experience than contentiously standing in the waffle maker line at a Hampton Inn. Will definitely come back and stay here again.

We were extremely disappointed in our stay here and would never stay there again. The pictures looked so inviting and it was convenient and pet friendly! Upon arrival, someone took us to our room and it was in the "guest house" which looked NOTHING like the main house. It was old and badly in need of repair. Our room did not look like the pics-even the headboard was different. Paint was peeling, tiles in bathroom were cracked, toilet was not seated well, very few outlets and lamps, and had to buy our own water because there weren't even glasses or access to ice or anything. Some of the drawers wouldn't open and knobs fell off, and there were no hangers to hang our wedding attire in the half closet in the room. Only one key per room was available. We had the wrong wifi password and ran out of toilet paper (there was barely any on the one roll left for us) but we got both before we went to sleep. It took a walk to the main house and two phone calls (the number on the house that we were told to call did not work). Don't new guests get more than a few leftover sheets of tp? The one roll brought to us was small also. We bought our own the next day. Live and learn, private bathroom does not mean in your room. We had to go out in the hallway with another room's door right next to ours. It also doesn't mean it is only yours, since our tp disappeared the second day! Breakfast was great and hostess very pleasant though. Breakfast times were not communicated well.

We will stay here again for sure! This house is amazing but we stayed on the 7th acre in the second house. It is a very old house but the care taken to keep it clean is amazing. We rented for my daughter’s wedding and it was more than enough room for everyone and to get ready. It’s on a main drag but you’d never know it. House is fully accommodating and the beds are so comfy. The innkeepers were very attentive to our needs and made sure our stay was suitable. My mother and I quite enjoyed our chats with Charles. 10/10 would recommend.

It was lovely. Caretaker Charles was the best! Totally recommend this place.

I loved the B&B! Charles and staff were wonderful and we met lots of interesting people. The rooms was clean, large & very comfortable. The homes history was also a bonus. A great experience all the way around.

Secluded in the city… our host Charles was affable and polite

The home is beautifully historic and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and very fillibg.

Friendly owners and staff. Good breakfast. Clean. Old, like all bed and breakfasts are. Safe. Helpful.

We booked our stay 3 months in advance and when we got there they didn't have our reservation in their system (they say that happens regularly with them and Hotels.com). Thankfully they were not full. The room we booked was not cleaned and we needed to get unpacked, so he offered a "comparable room". While it was fine, there wasn't even a chair to sit on.
Charles was very friendly and accommodating, which redeemed the stay a bit. Probably wouldn't stay there again as we don't want to chance not have a place to sleep.

The room was not as listed there was no private bathroom it was up a steep flight of stairs . The window in the room was broken. Dealing with owner trying to get a refund because my disabled husband could walk up a flight of stairs to use the restroom. Was a nightmare waiting for a call back and no fund. Don’t waste your time

The keeper, Charles, absolutely made the stay fantastic! He is a wealth of knowledge regarding ease in traveling to the city (he saved us a ton of money with his recommendations), he is very eager to serve and ensure your stay is excellent, and he is a complete pleasure to chat with! He told us all about the history of the home and shared his own stories as well—you don’t get these kinds of personal touches at hotels!
10/10 and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

We totally enjoyed our stay and Charles was an excellent host & cook.

This place is a Scam. Booked a Double Queen Room, was taken to a room 6 flights up of stairs, no elevator, with a double bed and a twin bed. Got locked into the 2nd floor for over 10 minutes with no key to get out.Man finally came with a key to get out. Stated they did not have a room with 2 Queen beds on property. Place is getting run down in certain areas. Refuses to refund my money. We had to find another place 2 miles away with 2 queen beds for another $286. RHIS PLACE IS A FRAUD= RENTER BEWARE

We had a wonderful stay here. Charles was a great host, the history of the house is so intriguing and the owner has done an amazing job restoring this historic house to a welcoming and pleasant B&B. Great place to check out!

Great history of the two homes. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Charles made us feel welcome and prepared a very nice breakfast.

Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Only issue was that there was no shower (bathtub only) available. We are an older couple and getting in and out of the tub was a slight inconvenience.

This is one of the coolest places I've stayed while visiting kids attending UC. It's about a 4-mile drive from campus, through "Northside" - chalk full of great restaurants, cool shops, and an amazing used record store. Someone cancelled so the inntaker moved us to a larger room without us asking - it iwas HUGE. The mattresses were great. Breakfast is 100% from scratch and was amazing. You cannot beat the price and location. Tucked away on a nice greenspace. Kristen our host was so kind and caring and did everything to make us feel at home. I'll be back!!

We loved our stay at Six Acres. We we lucky to have a long conversation with the owner and learned a lot about the history of the home and land. We will stay here every time we visit Cincy!

The staff, Charles, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived a little early during another function and Charles made sure our room was ready and we felt welcomed.

When my husband and I arrived, we were told immediately that there was a problem and we could not have the room we reserved through Expedia. We were taken to the top floor of the annex building, which was woefully unfinished, not like the room pictures listed on the property's website. We walked past other rooms in the annex, finished nicely, doors open, unoccupied during our entire stay. The unfinished area seems to be the Expedia area. I have always had great experiences with Expedia and do not believe they are the problem, though the property places the blame on Expedia. The rooms were quiet and clean, Charles was very friendly, and breakfast was served.

I had a really nice time staying at Six Acres. At first, I wasn't too happy that I had to move my room during my stay, as they had a booking issue. I wanted to also have a bathroom that was attached to my room and was not able to once I switched rooms. The B&B is really quaint, and because it is old, it has some areas that need to be repaired. The window in my room was broken, and the toilet was also not on the hinges correctly. Some of the chairs were a little rickety. I thought Charles, the caretaker, was super sweet and a really good cook! He was very accessible and easygoing.

This bed and breakfast was an absolute gem! The staff were kind, helpful, and accommodating. I look forward to staying here again!

If you are interested in heart and history and a comfortable bed, this is your stay. Lovely people.

We enjoyed our stay but there are a couple little things that would make it better. The room was bright at night from the lights outside, thicker or darker curtains would help. Also there weren't any outlets next to the bed.
3.8
We found a lot of dirt on the floor of our room. There was a loose screw and a hypodermic needle on the floor next to the bed. The smoke alarm was removed from the base.

Beautiful home and location. The food was great and staff was very pleasant and helpful

I loved that the house was old and had history

It was extremely nice and the service is fantastic! The breakfast was so much better than expected! Very well kept and neat and unique! Will stay again when I come back to the area❤️

Beautiful home in a bit of an oasis in the city. Old mansion they are working on fixing up.

The bed and breakfast was locked on arrival at 4:20 PM. Called phone number on door and after a short time was met at the door by a polite and friendly gentleman. He was totally unaware of our reservation and was in fact doing repairs and painting a room. He had no rooms ready but suggested if we could return in an hour he could have a room prepared. The bed an breakfast was in total disarray which is to be expected when you are doing repair work but not when you are expecting guest. Partially undecorated Christmas tree in living room with clutter. There did not appear to be any other guest staying at the facility and we decided to go elsewhere and eventually found another place to stay later that evening. We are very unhappy and are amazed Hotels.com had an 8.5 out of 10 rating for this facility. Based on that recommendation we made "no refund" reservations. Makes us question the true value of the ratings on the website. This will probably be the last time we use hotels.com.

Was in the Sallie Mae room , which was spacious and had a large private bath. The house has some great history as part of the Underground Railroad. That alone was worth the stay

Room wasnt ready, tried to call before we arrived, call went to voicemail and box was full so couldnt leave message. The staff, Jill was very polite,But didnt get much info from her. She had a family reunion that day when we arrive. Had us waiting for over 30 minutes, she never came back. A man Charlie show us to our room, gave a few details breakfast at 8 30 in the main house. Went for breakfast in morning & door was locked. WEnt around to the back & guest let us in. Would of been nice to have blankets as it was in the 40s & the web password. More communcation with staff orInfo listed in rooms would have ben helpful.

The place was closed up when I got there at 9pm. I had to call a number and wait to be let in. The TV cable wasn't working or the internet. Could not get them working. The tub had hairs in it and the water backed up to your ankles during a shower.
The breakfast was delicious which was the only bright spot. The manager of the property was very nice.

The stay didn’t start out well. The first day we was told that they just whiched over from cable to a fire stick. But the fire stick was not set up. I was asked if I could do it which I didn’t have a problem with. When I tried to set it up, it would not hook to their WiFi. I tried about ten times with the same results. They gave me a second fire stick to try, but had the same results. The host even brought her fire stick from her room to see if it would would but no luck with hers. They then moved us to another building on the property to another room that had cable. This was a bigger room with a king bed that was a upgrade from the room we rented. We was told that we would have to move back to the other building once their maintenance person came in the next morning to fix the issue. Meaning I would have to carry mine and my wife’s bags across the parking lot for the 3rd time in less then 2 days. I wasn’t happy with this, but the host, Jill, was so sweet and felt bad about our situation. That made my frustration with this a little less irritating. The next morning we had breakfast the next morning and meet a wonderful couple. Jill gave us a tour of the grounds and brighten up our morning. Jill then told us that the owner felt bad and wanted to upgrade us to a suite in the first building we had moved from. So we did packed up our things again and headed across the parking lot to the building we originally book a room in. Saying all of this, because of Jill, we will be back.
