We were pretty amazed when the Uber pulled up to the front of this place, realizing how nice it was compared to what we paid for the stay. Very classy older brick building with beautiful Christmas lights and spacious rooms. My only complaint is that it's not as easy to get there from the airport as they make it seem. They're close enough to hear the constant drone of planes taking off and landing, but there's definitely not an "airport transfer" as they suggest. I was prepared to hire a ride thanks to a heads-up from staff when I asked for details . If you're expecting a shuttle like many hotels offer in the US, don't. The pool was a big plus with my kids, and the grounds and facilities are extensive, safe, and welcoming. The bar tender even went up to his room to loan me a lighter so I could smoke my pipe on a walk around. Great spot! Definitely would recommend to anyone staying near Heathrow, provided you can't find a place closer to bus and tube routes.

I am waiting for a response to my complaint. Room lovely but in the bathroom, ceiling paint peeled, shower head dirty so had to clean it and extractor fan moldy and rusty. Breakfast was freezing cold and when I complained just got told sorry.

Lovely rooms, great breakfast and the fitness area is amazing! This was our second stay and it won‘t be the last!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was on the smaller side and could probably do with some modernising and the bed was small, the window was left open so the room was incredibly cold however the room was very clean and did have everything we needed. We went down to the bar for a drink and we felt that the service was not great at this point, there were 3 members of staff on the bar and just us stood there yet not one of them acknowledged us to say ‘be with you in a second we are just busy’ they all completely ignored us and I had to ask if it was ok that we ordered, when we did order a cider and gin, I asked for a single and was served and charged for a double. However, we were grateful for good service from both the reception desk of the hotel and the pool, both able to help with anything we needed in a timely manner which was great. We really enjoyed the facilities of the hotel and loved a swim in the morning to start the day. The leisure centre had great amenities and was equipped with everything necessary. The location of the hotel has good links with public transport into London and the surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return in summer so we could enjoy the grounds more.

Tiny box room that was so hot when I I had to open all the windows very average .
Downfall I needed to be out early in the morning breakfast starts at 7 am but the staff would not let you in a minute earlier despite everything ready .So say for 15 mins waiting .

1. Room Issues
We had booked a family room with the specific request for a baby cot. Unfortunately, the room was far too small to accommodate the cot comfortably, and we had to move it around constantly to navigate the space. Additionally, the room smelled of damp and alcohol, which was both unpleasant and unacceptable.
2. Dining Experience
Dinner was another disappointment. Although your staff provided lovely service, we had to wait an unreasonably long time for our meal, and the food itself was dry and unsatisfactory. To compound this, the breakfast the following morning was cold, which further added to our frustration.
3. Privacy and Disturbances
At 10:13 a.m., a staff member knocked on our door while my wife was breastfeeding. Despite taking only a moment to answer, the staff opened the door without permission. This was a gross invasion of our privacy. Even if your system had not been updated, there is no justification for entering or disturbing guests 45 minutes before the standard check-out time.
Moreover, our check-out time had been changed to 12 p.m. the previous evening, yet we were disturbed not only at 10:13 a.m. but again at 11:15 a.m. The woman responsible claimed to be a supervisor, and when confronted during the second disturbance, she lied about having entered the room earlier, further exacerbating our frustration with this situation.
4. Fire Drill
We were not warned about the fire drill that was planned during our stay, causing our baby to wake up yet again.

It happened to be a very hot weekend in July.
We were in the conference room which was ridiculously bright – no facility for reducing light – made it difficult to see anything projected on the screen. The air conditioning was not working – the whole experience was MISERABLE
Yes, I booked a single room but normally one stays as a single person in a double room, with double towels and refreshments etc. I paid considerably more at the Lansbury, because it has such a high opinion of itself but I’ve had much better facilities in a double room, four-star hotel for half the price.
I do not think the room had air-conditioning – okay many hotels do not - but I don’t think I could open the window. I recall I had to keep my curtains closed in an effort to cut down on heat from the Sun. I think I could open the bathroom window. Overall it was not a happy stay.
I was not staying there by choice but in order to be at the same location as a conference I was attending.

Bad reception service for busy weekend. Terrible WiFi.
Restaurant staff were lovely.

Everything was wonderful, except the showerhead was cracked, which made the water spray in a lot of crazy directions

Hotel is situated within beautiful surroundings and has some excellent facilities. However, the room that we had was very dates and even the sliding doors on the shower were broken, meaning that we had to hold them up to have a shower. This was awkward and they kept falling back on to my partner whilst she was showering.

The Hotel was as expected but the room
Sub Premier Inn . Bed was fine television very small bathroom door did not lock shower tray very slippery and no instructions as to how the shower worked. Couldn’t plug my own hairdryer into the sockets at the dressing table all rescued by a marvellous breakfast no doubt we will come again

We stayed at The Lensbury before heading into central London. It was a beautiful, quiet resort. The grounds were like a fairytale. It is a fabulous location for visits to Richmond and bushy park. I felt very safe in the area with lots of dining and shopping places within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious. I would absolutely stay again.

Eveything about it was brilliant. We had some additional needs and the staff went above and beyond to look after us.

The staff at the Lensbury was exceptional. Polite, friendly, helpful and available. The grounds and hotel are immaculate. The location cannot be beat. Excellent place.

Very noisy at night in the Ascot wing carts and supplies being rolled past frequently outside.

The hotel building was lovely
Breakfast was fab, but the rooms were really small, the beds were standard double, would expect a Queen or king size and the shower felt like i was in a caravan!!

A lovely oasis in London. More comfortable than envisaged. The staff at dinner weee just lovely and so welcoming.

Great facilities and nice breakfast. No fridge in the twin deluxe room, even though it says so on the booking. This was difficult with a baby who needed milk, as we had to go to reception at 3am. The room was very big, but the carpet was stained and sticky. Very thin walls which kept us awake, especially when there was a party next door at 1am. Not a very good welcome on arrival, we were given the wrong timings for breakfast.

They confused my booking, which meant I booked and paid for two rooms for the same night. Clearly they could see the error but did not attempt to resolve it. What's worse is that both rooms were decrepit and not comparable to a premier Inn that would be king to the Lensbury!! On top of paying for two rooms, I was made to pay for an upgrade to improve my room condition. I will never go near this hotel again or recommend it to anyone. Please stay clear and save your money - the rooms are small and could be mistaken for a closet unless you upgrade to what they show you in photos. Don't be fooled

So much potential. Rooms small due to age of the hotel and some furniture getting old. Staff lovely, great grounds and parking available.

Family room is huge! Great breakfast, very reasonable price, walkable to very nice High Street.

The resort was lovely and excellent for families! We used the pool which was also good- very clean and helpful staff!

Leisure facilities good and pleasant grounds
6.0
The venue looks better from outside than it is. The pool was ok but not far off from a local pool that you may find in various areas in London.
The bar was similar to a large OK pub but again nothing particularly special. The room was adequate but again just OK. No rooms service or any items in fridge. Small.
6.0
Nice grounds, good facilities but the classic double room is very small, no drinking water, no fridge and everything is very tired

Third time staying at the Lensbury. It’s a great space to relax after busy days in London! Will be booking there again when we come back to the UK!

Great hotel in lovely location by the river with a range of wonderful facilities. There is nothing else like it at the price. Good restaurant and friendly helpful staff.

Rooms very dusty and dirty and old looking
Reception was inviting dark and old
Don't be fooled for a 4 star hotel

We stayed on the other side which I’m guessing was for the budget people. I still like that we could use the facilities. The place was clean and was in a good location

This was our second stay at The Lensbury very good base for visiting London and surrounding areas.
4.0
Room was quite small and didn’t have plugs in washroom. The breakfast offers the same dish every day so people spend several days at the hotel need to eat the same things during stay.
8.0
Pretty area south west london, definitely needing a car as it’s quite far from train and bus location. Was put in the newer area called Ascot House which was a 5 min walk from the main lodge and the room was fairly small but ok. Needed room key to pass through a number of doors to access this area.

Decent room.

Air con don’t work and was given a small fan, ineffective for the summer. Was also assigned an accessible room which I did not need or want.

My hotel of choice when working and visiting the city
