3.5
location, breakfast, staff
Due to the room being a basement room there was extremely loud thuds throughout the night from the lobby above.

Location is good. Close to lots of restaurants, shops and central station.
The room does not have air conditioning. It was hot those few days we were there (25-31c outside). A fan should at least be provided to allow some air circulation.

Good location being around a 5minute walk from the main train station. It isn't in the very centre of the city so you didn't get the usual late night noise. The room was clean but very basic. Staff were friendly.
No air con and it was roasting in Amsterdam. Had to sleep with the French windows fully open and it was still too hot. The kettle had no power socket near it. Had to stretch the lead to under the desk. The bed, for me, was way too soft. Couldn't get comfy at all.

Awesome location, good breakfast, good staff and a nice room. Wifi was also quick.
Slightly hot on the second floor but the fan was enough to cool us down late evenings

the bed was comfortable, breakfast was enjoyable and staff were friendly
The bathroom was very musty smelling and the room we were had very thin walls which wasn’t good for noise or heat control.

The hotel was very nice and I would recommend it. The staff were excellent. Very nice and helpful in every respect. The breakfast area was very good and breakfast itself was very good. The location is excellent if you want to be within very close striking distance of the station, but far enough away to avoid the noise around the station. It was seven minutes walk. The location was also well placed to get to the Hermitage, Jewish museum and Rembrandt house and close also to main roads leading into the shopping precincts and the museumplein, which was about 35 minutes walk away. Overall I felt very pleased with the hotel.
The room was nice but very small. The ceiling height was quite low, especially in the bathroom, which was nice and clean, but I did bang my head on the ceiling. The window looked onto a ‘dead area’. Overall it wasn’t a space I could imagine spending a long period in, but then I basically just wanted somewhere to sleep. Mostly the hotel was quiet. One night one of the rooms had loud music and a lot noise. It was 11 pm when that began, but to be fair it lasted only a short time, so maybe it was someone’s birthday. I should say that I would recommend the hotel and would stay again.

Just sad our room didn’t have a view

it was just a short walk away from the central station, which made it a perfect base from which to explore Amsterdam. The room was super clean and included tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast (continental) was also included. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Breakfast and location
Room was tiny 3rd floor attic type room. Looked like there were better rooms on lower floors. Staff don't ask you if thinks are ok ,different people on different days

Great hotel in a great location. The building was built in the 1700s (so I was told), so the rooms are quirky and fun. The staircase was interesting to navigate to the top floor with a suitcase, but that was half the fun! The staff were so helpful and friendly, and everything you need is right at your doorstep. I really enjoy the breakfast as well.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The location is perfect. It is near Amsterdam Central Station and near the centre but at the same time the area is quiet.
The room was a bit hot sometimes but I guess that would be good for the winter
4.5
Excellent location close to central station. Room was clean and tidy with very comfy bed. Shower was big and clean. Room was standard size for a budget hotel. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast had a good selection and plentiful. Room was dark at night and no noise disturbed us. Great stay overall
Clothes hangers!!!! There were only 2 and storage space is limited. need at least 10. Proper tea bags in the room would be great, not everybody drinks earl grey or green tea

Standard continental breakfast. Excellent location.
Rooms could have been bigger
