Staff were very friendly. Location was good - walkable to most of Dublin’s attractions and restaurants. No elevator - not the best option for anyone who would struggle to carry their luggage up many flights of stairs.
Rooms are small but comfortable. Bathrooms are quite small. Onsite parking is a bonus.

We booked room for four people, so we got two-bedroom room but they were really narrow and not enough space. But we didn't spend a lot of time in a hotel so it was ok for night.
What I really didn't like is narrow entry in a washroom right near bed in a master bedroom ( literally near my pillow). Now I know about night washroom schedule for all my family;)

They offered no toiletries, the carpet was old and soiled and the floor boards were uneven Tge bathroom was very clean and the staff was excellent. But the lighting is very poor.

The staff were so friendly and really helpful. They were the reason that we had such a great stay.

The standard twin room was perfect for me and my 15 year old daughter. Please note there is no lift (elevator), we were on the top floor (3rd floor) and staff were kindly enough to help with our suitcases when we checked in/out. There is staff at the front desk 24/7 which was comforting. Staff helped us book a taxi for our early morning departure. The location was great, nice and central. We were able to order Uber Eats with no problems. I would recommend staying here if you’re on a budget!

The receptionists were very helpful, many thanks to them, best wishes , Noel

Room was right across from the check-in desk, so it was noisy, weirdly even quite late at night 2:30am /very early in the morning 4:30am.
Carpet in the room was stained in several places and there was an empty whiskey bottle on the floor.

Staff was friendly but property was smaller than advertised and did not look like the pictures. Would not stay at again in the future.

Overpriced, loud, uncomfortable and dirty feeling. Suitable for a one night stay, but incredibly overpriced for what you get.

Friendly desk staff. Although we reserved a space for parking for 1 night, and when we came to park the next desk person denied that we had made arrangements. She let us park after all,but it was inconvenient.
3.0 / 5.0
Late response regarding availability of parking. Also, room was on the first level facing the main street and directly in front of the check-in lobby, so you heard everything going in and out and all conversations with hotel receptionist. Aside from that, and it’s hard to get to sleep given noise, onsite staff was friendly and nice.

Really nice place, lovely staff. Quiet street, right around the corner from the heart of the city.

Unfortunately they moved all my belongings from one room to another while I was out at work, which felt very invasive.

The staff here were so kind and even upgraded our rooms for free the night we stayed. Probably just Irish luck but it was so nice for the 6 of us in two rooms. Convenient and safe parking for being in the city of Dublin. Would highly recommend for those visiting! Be prepared for a bit of a walk though depending on the sites that you are seeing.

Our room smell like smoke. When we asked about it, ee were told it was the cleaning staff smocking in the smoking area outside... Below our windows.
The beds were not comfortable either.

The beds are poor and old..they make noise always you try to turn or change positions.tv doesnt have remote you end up watching one channel till morning.

Room was okay besides the musty smell of the room. Also, it would have been nice if there were a sheet or another lighter comforter for the bed. It was cool outside, but the room was pretty warm & the comforter provided was just too hot. Other than that, people at the front desk were great, shower was good, room was clean overall.

It was a very nice stay, I arrived very late, the reception was open and I got the key very fast, the bed was a little bit too soft for me, everything else was fine!

I stayed in the single room for one night. Easy to check in/out, extremely comfortable room, lots of ammenities around. The only down fall was the room was insanely hot however the staff gave me an extra fan straight away. Would stay again for a day or 2.

Friendly staff made check in and out easy and the room was lovely and clean with extra amenities that I did not expect like the small ironing board and iron which was really useful.

Very satisfied with my stay. I strongly recommend. Nora.

Beds took up must of the space in the room. No room to move around. Had to carry our luggage up 4 flights of stairs.no elevator. Receptionist didn’t inform us of paid parking in front of hotel. Got $135 ticket and a wheel locked (boot). And the street looked unsafe especially at night.

Very clean and comfortable, great staff, nice location.

Lovely stay, staff were extremely helpful, both reception staff went out of their way to help me with my luggage and my baby. The young man on reception on check in was super friendly and creative and gave my boy an origami bird he had made, which he loved.

We specifically chose this hotel as laundry service was on the advertisement and there were no laundry facilities

Perfect room for a short family break. Bathroom was a little compact but modern and clean so was fine.
Comfy beds with nice clean sheets. Bottled water a nice touch.

Our room was not available at arrival even, I advised in advance. I didn't get bath towels, the room was very small and the bathroom was almost unusable due to the size. Very uncomfortable to shower in it. As a plus the bed was small (even we request large) but comfortable.

Staff were excellent, room was nice. Only constructive feedback is that laundry facilities are listed in the description but there are none in the hotel, and this was one of the first reasons I chose the place. Thankfully, there’s a dry cleaners close by that does a wash/dry for less than 10 euro. Would definitely stay again!

This will be the last time I book through Orbitz as this hovel was so small that I could touch both walls with outstretched arms, for which I paid a lot of money. The room was not only tiny, but stuffy as well and overlooked a busy street making an open window quite inconvenient.

The room was very clean and comfortable.
Shannon at the front desk went out of her way to help me contact my upcoming accommodations at another property by phone when I was unable to reach them. She followed up and contacted me after I had checked out from Clifton house to make sure things were sorted out. Her assistance was greatly appreciated.

It was pleasant.

Pros: The staff were very nice and the room was very clean. Crisp sheets. The building is older and has a real cool vintage feel to it.
Cons: Everyday cigarette smoke would come up our bathroom drains because we were close to the outside smoking area. The cleaning staff leave at 1PM so you have to be out of your rooms by noon or they don't get cleaned. They do not have laundry like the website says. Our bathroom was incredibly small. So small that you couldn't change your clothing in it in a shared room. There was very little storage for a quad room so we were living out of our suitcases which we did not have the room to do.
All in all good for a short stay in a Quad room, but not great for a lengthy stay with four people. Just not enough room for four adults sadly. But nice area..

There’s no elevator so make sure you have a small suitcase. We had a big one and we were all the way up, in what used to be called “ the maid room” under the roof. Which would have been fine but not for that price. The parking is on the street, 5 euros will get you 1.5 hours.

Clifden House staff are excellent. The hotel itself is older & quaint but could use some new windows as they were drafty and cold for September (curtains helped to block the draft). The hotel is in a safe neighborhood, clean, comfortable and within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and sites. With that said, we'd probably stay there again.

Loved staying at Clifden. The staff was great. It's affordable and close to everything. Our only issue was the rooms could get very warm in the evening even with the provided fan.

One of the cleanest most comfortable beds on my travels. Excellent shower and above all very clean. Very convenient.
