The receptionist was VERY rude and the rooms were filthy!! As well as a lot of traffic of not such good people. (Drug abusers)

Room was cold and uncomfortable, white lighting aggressive. If you must stay here because of central location: make sure you ASK for an upstairs room with a working ac or heat unit. I was in unheatable room on ground level and - no exaggeration - person on top floor was up all night walking back and forth and knocking stuff over

Old building. Low ceilings. Shower was strange and when you opened the window in the bath, it didn’t feel private at all
3.2
Front desk very nice. Very clean room. Couldn’t reach the high up a/c. Several cockroaches but maybe it was the cheapest hotel in town so expected?
3.2
We rolled in late and the woman that was working was very helpful and got us right in. It property was clean and bed was cold comfortable
3.2
The room had not been cleaned, evident by the many cockroaches that were dead and scattered around the room. There was also one living cockroach we had to trap under a cup. We didn’t stay

Its just ok

Good downtown location. Manager was very accommodating. Room was clean.
3.2
The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The first night we found bed bugs in our bed and the next day after moving rooms I woke up with bites and welts all over both sides of my neck
3.2
Friendly service. Ice machine was down she filled up my bucket from her suite.
3.2
Rooms were very hot and even after running noisy ac for a good while they were still uncomfortable. No bed side lights, just very bright overhead lighting. Overall it felt like staying in a prison cell.
3.2
Bugs broken toilet no window coverings

nice decor, comfortable bed. There were a couple of cockroaches despite the place being clean.

Good price, friendly stuff. Thank you

Staff was very friendly. I can tell they are trying to keep up with building as it looked like new paint on the walls in the room and bathroom the sink was up to date. However, pillow cases were dirty/stained. A lot of creepy men that stayed there one who asked to “bum a ride off of me” and stated he had an ankle bracelet on. He kept staring at me from above the balcony and then when he asked me he was on the bottom floor near my room for the ride that night after I got back from my day. I said No and called front desk. The front desk was nice enough to do a walk around the premises and talked to him. I felt better after but kept hearing noise and then At 3 AM I heard a man yelling and angry from the back of the Inn. Didn’t realize there was a back alleyway behind the Inn. Couple other men kept staring at me while I was leaving. One blatantly stood from the door of his room with a blank expression. I wanted to leave that night but it was non refundable. So instead I prayed for protection over myself and my room. Needless to say I scurtted out of there that early morning. Next time I’ll opt in to paying for a nicer, safer stay at a hotel.

It was “ok” just needed a bed for the night. Budget friendly, room was clean, basic. Ok if you just need a bed for a day or two

The jonkeys in d Windows

Considering what the room rate was, the lock om the door should have worked, the curtains could have fit the window. The overall condition of the room was shabby but mosy clean.
3.2
Smelt very bad, noise from AC, blanket wasn't washed

Don’t be fooled by the outside, loved the updated bathroom. The door needs to be remodeled because it looks like you can definitely kick the door in. Bed needs to be changed for better comfort. The curtains needs to be changed because it was so sheer that you can see the outside. The outside looks trashy and old. A new paint job will surely do. And weird people/ car be parking in the lot. Wished it was in a better looking area. We liked our stay.

Very clean and staff was so friendly and helpful.

Nice room, although there were no bedside lamps, just a bright overhead light. Staff were friendly.
3.2
Very bad Ac, I couldn’t sleep.
3.2
Absolute worst service. Spent $180 and they were knocking on our door and trying to get us out. The front desk lady actually walked in. Lucky I didn’t call the cops.
3.2
Close parking good, rooms were beyond hot took hours to cool off, got 2 rooms for me and my fire crew, to had trouble getting into 3 different rooms for me, only nice thing was the bathrooms were remodeled

Very nice clean rooms I would stay again good customer service

No one at the office till after 5 PM, she had another job. I never saw them. A shady looking character called her and then let me in a room, my key wouldn’t work I had to go find him to let me in and out of the room. He was in a motel room. Do Not Use This Motel it isn’t safe
3.2
Nice room and we were upgraded to a King size bed. All staff were very helpful and profesional.

Stayed here for one night as a stopover through Redding. Had to request a different room due to first the toilet leaked upon flushing and was not sanitary. Second room the beds were hard and second bed was very unstable. Put drinks in fridge only to retrieve in morning and find out the dam thing wasn’t even plugged in so they were not cold. Would not recommend for the price staying here.
3.2
Poor WiFi. Also AC in room was up high on the wall and no directions. We had to call for assistance. The host finally figured out the remote needed a new battery. After an hour of waiting, we called the desk and he brought us new batteries. After that, AC was ok. Bathroom sink was very slow to drain.
The drapes at the window were thin and should be blackout. But we had a quiet, comfortable rest.

This place; although, looks nice in the pictures, was nasty dirty. The rooms are remodeled, so technically the rooms looks nice. But it does no good when the room it self is excessively dirty. The floors were sticky with who knows what and obvious spill marks. With multiple sticky gross spots on the floor floors and the walls. The bathroom sink was dirty, the were stains on the wall in there too AND the toilet paper roll was stained with an unknown brown substance. The bed sheets we stained and dirty as well. There was also a group of loud people drinking out of their room for most of the night which made things sound and feel excessively unsafe. We knew this place was a motel but the people review made it good enough for us to just sleep while driving through. However, nothing about that stay allowed us for a good nights rest. Bring your own sleeping bag!

Wonderful find! A surprising gem....i did not expect an economy 2 star motel to be this pleasant a stay! Super clean. Modern renovated room. Wonderful mid city location next to Sacramento river. Very pleasant staff. We will return to Value Inn Whenever traveling to Redding.

Listed price is only for 1 person.
There's a $9.00 charge for a second person, which is not the industry standard.
I chose to pay the fee separately, the manager also charged me for her card fee, so I had to pay $10.01 on top of the room price.
Management seemed very intrusive, and I felt like I had no privacy.
Additionally the rooms are very small, cheap and not particularly comfortable.
The floors were unever to the extent it made it difficult to open the fridge and drawers. The newly renovated bathroom was done extremely poorly, including sharp and uneven tiles, a dark shower, and large holes in the ceiling.
The parking lot has super small spots with some really horrible angles.
On the up side the bed was fine, it was quiet and dark.
I would not recommend staying there for more than a nap.

There was no one there to check me in late afternoon. I didn't see the bell and had to wander the property to get help. The room was in badly in need of updating. The bed was not really comfortable (also could see a cigarette burn through the sheets) and the air conditioner struggled on one of the hottest days of the year. Cool but not cold enough. . For the most part the room was clean which is of course important. The area felt gritty. I got the sense that there may be long term rentals going on. I would not stay here again but if you just want a small, outdated, clean room I guess it passses for 1 night.
3.2
It is obvious that the owners are trying to upgrade their facilities. This will be a lovely place to stay once they've got the job in hand. Until then, I'd rather stay elsewhere if I can find a place with a comparable price. Do not book in advance.
3.2
I only stayed 15 mins instead of two days. Does not look like the pictures. Does not feel safe. However the manager was really nice and said he would refund one night but I needed to contact vrbo. Which I did...they said manager had to refund the money for the unused night. So needless to say no one has refunded the money which makes the whole stay very frustrating! Good luck!

It was more than what we expected. It was really good for travellers
3.2
The room had a clean, fresh scent. Everything was clean and sanitized. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was not too far off the freeway. I would stay there again.

Nothing to write home about. It's a bed, basically
