Very enjoyable stay. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

We came here to attend a wedding. It was a excellent setting for the celebration. The staff were all helpful, courteous, and competent. The buildings were historic and very well maintained.
4.6
I cannot fault this hotel or the service we were given. It was exceptional. The hotel didn't appear to be too busy the evening that we stayed and we had a room upgrade.
4.6
The only thing that stopped us from giving 5 stars was the service in the restaurant for dinner. We had to ask on more than one occasion for our bread and wine, we had to wait 40 mins for our coffee. The waiters and waitresses were very nice but were overwhelmed by the number of diners.
When we checked out the service charge had already been removed from our bill.

VERY COMFORTABLE QUALITY STAY. A LA CARTE DINNER WAS EXCELLENT.

We have been a few times to Stanbrook Abbey with our two dogs, the staff are amazing especially the bar staff. We always have an enjoyable and relaxing time and the dogs love it!

The hotel is stunning. The staff are wonderful and the whole hotel is a little bit of luxury. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and it is also freshly prepared. We loved how quiet it was- there was a NYE event the evening we stayed, but you couldn’t hear a thing from our room which was exactly what we wanted. We can’t wait to stay again and would love to visit again in the summer and next NYE!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely member of staff who took us straight to the reception and got us checked in and then took us straight to our room which they had given us a free upgrade which was out of this world about half hour later reception rang up the room to ensure that everything was good with the room we also booked for dinner which was out of this world I cannot recommend the hotel enough We will definitely be returning great work and excellent customer service

Nice quiet place, well-preserved stuff from the original abbey when the nuns were here, friendly staff, great amenities (toilets and rooms in very good condition).

Very helpful friendly staff. Comfy bed.

Excellent spot and staff

Stunning beautiful hotel. Definitely, visit this hotel again

The original building is beautiful, but the bar area (recent extension) is less so.
The staff are warm and friendly; the restaurant staff were particularly good.
The room is a little meh for the money - a poster referring to a bath when there isn't one, irritated, and the lack of a Nespresso machine surprised.

Avery nice location and a very nice old building with lots to see. The old Abbey has many features, the main hall for example with its architecture, a bell tower you can climb with panoramic views from the top.
The bedroom was smaller than expected while the bathroom was bigger than needed, possibly due to load-bearing walls and the way it could be divided. Still, more space in the bedroom would have been nice.

We loved the hotel, its location, its unique character and its super-friendly staff and management. Our room was spacious, clean, conveniently set out and very comfortable. The underfloor heating ensured a perfect temperature at all times. The bathroom was spacious and had everything we needed. The shower enclosure was a perfect size and the shower was easy to adjust and control. The breakfast menu offered a good range of choices. The full English breakfast was exceedingly generous and beautifully cooked. The dining room was very spacious, comfortable with a beautiful ambience.
We were however, a little disappointed with the dinner menu. I very much enjoyed the steak noisettes which were tender and succulent, but my wife found the lamb challenging and well below the standard we were expecting. Many of the items on the dinner menu were a little unusual; not in itself a problem, but some more tempting items for main course other than steaks would have been welcome. I tried the stone bass and was not impressed - no comparison with good sea bass in my opinion. The sweet menu was good and my wife enjoyed trying the items. Beverages alcoholic and non-alcoholic were well up to standard. We enjoyed a very nice Shiraz - ( "Journeys End" ) - from Stellenbosch with our dinner.
No review would be complete without mentioning the Hotel's history as an Abbey with resident nuns not too many years ago! The Abbey's buildings are there for all residents to see. So why not take a look!

Staff were very warm and friendly, the hotel also had a DC EV charger.

Staff friendly and good atmosphere

booked table in restaurant ahead of visit - was informed not available upon arrival. had to eat in george’s bar which is decorated like a cheesy butlins bar from the 1980’s (no offence to butlins). menu choices limited. staff all great but were overwhelmed.
room was way too hot, no aircon but instead a noisy wall fan. hot water was hotter than volcanic lava - caution sign was added above the tap, but why not actually reduce the temp so it can be used without filling the sink?
A dressing gown was provided and had the last guests dirty tissue in the pocket- which was a lovely surprise when i put my hand in there :-/ …and after i had stopped gagging i had to re-scold my hand under the hot tap again.
grounds and old part of the hotel are beautiful. shame about george’s bar which is so out of keeping with the building.
all staff were trying hard and really helpful.

Stanbrook Abbey has a very calming environment. It is the perfect place for R & R. The rooms are beautiful and the building is breathtaking

Very easy access, no hassle, nice staff, only stopped for buisness in area , will stop again

We paid £230 per night in January for what was a disappointingly small room. Listed as a Classic Double at 5 x 4 metres plus bathroom, I dread to think how small the Classic Double (small) rooms were!
4.6
Amazing and beautifully-restored venue, with plenty of interest and (on request) the possibility of climbing the bell tower for even more tremendous views!
Great that they've installed a commercial EV charging point, too.
Excellent and very friendly staff, with a lovely breakfast.
Certainly worth every penny!

Stunning location in converted abbey, beautiful hotel building, especially restaurant and bar, set in nice grounds. Quiet countryside spot a few miles from Worcester. My room was fairly standard, mostly matched online description although no coffee-maker (kettle only). Decent shower room but getting housekeeping didn’t replace mini toiletries. Breakfast mostly good although disorganised when partial buffet set-up. Dinner/bar food disappointing except desserts.

Lovely hotel with a great mixture of new and older buildings. Great food in the restaurant. Fantastic for the wedding we went to there.

The first time we have stayed here and when we drove up the drive it looked amazing. Very friendly staff , beautiful grounds excellent rooms really clean and comfortable bed. Had an evening meal and the food and service was good. I would stay again and I would highly recommend.

Beautiful place, very clean and friendly staff.

Excellent service at the hotel. My wife had stated a dietary requirement on booking and we were delighted that this followed through into both the supplies in the room and to the restaurant staff. Few hotels seem to manage this.
Beautiful building, friendly people, well equipped room and excellent location. Had a very relaxing short break.

Stayed one night, superb accomodation and very helpful staff. Had dinner in the refrectory which was lovely. Will definately come back.

The building was amazing . The decor was ddated . Carpet in room was stained . Decor in room was drab . An interior designer is badly needed . It could be fabulous .

The lady that checked us in was very polite and friendly. The walk from the lobby to our room was amazing. The room itself was lovely also. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Stanbrook Abbey is a unique experience which was well worth the money. Our room was very tastefully decorated with a large shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of options. Really appreciated the home made bread, jam and yoghurt. Gluten free selection was very good. Service excellent.
We enjoyed the snooker room and games room and discovered a really interesting library. A very interesting and beautiful place to wander around.
We had a meal in the bar which was lovely. Only slight criticism is that the tables in the bar area are quite small and don't really lend themselves to the space needed for a meal.

Fabulous quirky hotel, excellent service

We attended our daughter’s wedding on Friday 20th December and had a fabulous time. The hotel is stunning and a magical place, all staff were excellent and very helpful special thanks to Clyde and Lisa.

A beautiful hotel, fantastic cocktails, lovely room, even better bathroom but what really stood out was the service. They made a courtesy phone call a few days before during which they asked if there were any dietary requirements. I am coeliac so therefore gluten free. Upon check in I found that the complementary biscuits in my room were gluten free. For dinner the gluten free options and adjustments were explained and my meal was absolutely delicious. The biggest surprise was breakfast where I was able to select homemade gluten free muesli which was the best I have ever tasted, gluten free toast was provided and I even took a gluten free scone away with me for lunch! The best bit however was availing myself of the first Eggs Benedict that I have been able to eat since my diagnosis, and it was absolutely amazing. The service from staff was impeccable throughout; a truly special hotel with a unique history that I look forward to exploring next time I visit. This will most definitely be a regular haunt.
