Excellent location next to a metro line.

First the good part: front desk staff top notch, extremely helpful other staff also very friendly. We were allowed to check in early and hotel also arranged for our transfer from the airport upon arrival. Located across a large mall and metro/ train station. Located away from most attractions (about 30minutewalk) but one stop of metro to opera station, heart of downtown. They have a rooftop terrace with chairs and couple of loungers, with a great view (we were able to see the new year fireworks!)
Not so great, paper thin walls, you hear neighbours snore, heating/ cooling not controlled individually and buffet breakfast mediocre at best (better more authentic breakfast available available ten metres down the street).
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel for most travellers.

I was really tired after my flight and they let me check in early at 7 am for 30 euros. The rooftop terrace is really nice and so is the grocery store next door. I loved my room.

The odor from the bathroom was unbearable. If we keep the bathroom door open, the entire room was very smelly. If we closed the bathroom door, the smell in the bathroom was sticky. Luckily we only stayed one night.

For a three-star hotel, there are several things to like: i) breakfast is solid, particularly their home-baked bread, ii) it is across from the Príncipe Pio metro station, next to the Principe Pio mall and a 15-minute walk from the Royal Palace and the Opera. You can take the tren de cercanías from and to the airport, and iii) most rooms looking to the Casa de Campo have a terrace. On the other hand, walls are really thin and you can hear your neighbor do the dirty bird, and some of the maids tend to forget to clean under the bed. Finally, while most of the staff is friendly, a couple people at the front desk could do a bit more. I would definitely stay there again.

Generally an ok-ish hotel but not for this price. The walls are really thin so you can hear every single word of your room neighbours.

I ha really awesome time in Madrid and hotel was very good. The room spacious and bathroom was updated and very clean. The transportations were available from the hotel. Across from it there is mall and around the hotel block madrid tour bus stop. Overall everything was excellent.

Good hotel for its price.

The best location, and literally in the calm center

I would stay here again. The price was reasonable and it was very close to attractions in the center, like the Plaza Mayor, etc. Even in the June heat, it wasn't a bad walk at all. Hotel parking was full, but there was public parking right across the street in a mall. I had a micro room (?) with a patio looking out towards the Palacio. The room was very micro, barely fitting the bed. The bedside table barely had room for me to charge my cell phone on it, and desk was very tiny. Overall did the job though! Staff was very friendly.

Hotel is amazing! Location, all renewed (hotel and room), spacious room, parking lot on-site($21), nice reception service, open 24h!!! Plus: great social area for coffee and work over the reception.
Two negative points:
# I tried to manage the room temperature from the room and it did not work. It is December so it is not a problem but maybe it would be an issue if it was summer.
# there was some hair on the floor and in the bathroom sink, shower.. I believe cleaning could be improved.

y wife and I stayed several nights at this property. It is located across the street from a nice shopping mall as well as a train station, a metro station, and close to bus stops including the tourist bus. There are also plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. The staff at the hotel were excellent very helpful and friendly and committed to making guests' stay a pleasant one. The room itself was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was of decent size, clean and there was ample hot water. There is also a nice balcony in the room. We stayed in a basic room. It was a little small and there was no comfortable chair for sitting, but there was ample storage for our needs.I liked this hotel and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Could not control heat nor AC temperature in room 213. Staff not helpful to resolve this during my entire stay.
Asked for an iron and was told I had to come get it; the hotel doesn’t bring it to you.
Walls are super thin: heard every noise in other rooms (snoring, movements, bed creaks, conversations).
Hotel had loud students staying there during my stay and they were loud, slamming doors and carrying on at 1am in the morning. Could not sleep the last night, and had a early flight out.
The hotel ecpects you to pay for tea at their property rather than offer a kettle in the rooms.
Air quality poor in the neighborhood hotel is in.
Restaurants nearby are subpar yet the hotel recommends them.
Two buildings adjacent to hotel are shut, in poor condition, and have lots of graffiti.
My room had no view except a brick wall.
No refridgerator in room.

Convenient location next to a train- and metrostation. Walking distance from shops, restaurants.
Walking distance to Royal palace and city center
Very clean, quiet and comfortable room, nice views
Only minus the non-availability of a refrigirator.

Really poor experience. Room on 1st floor wreaked of cigarettes. The hotel is SO noisey... banging and clashing at 2am. If you dont pay for the buffet breakfast you can't access the free lounge area or buy a coffee until 11am. Ive stayed all over Madrid and id never stay here again. Really slept terribly.

We had a wonderful time and part of it was because of the location of the hotel.
The last time we were in Madrid we were in the tourist area, and really did not like Madrid. This time we were in an area with people who live in Madrid and we absolutely loved it. We saw a completely new Madrid and it was just wonderful.
The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at that hotel again.

Location is very good. Less than 5 minutes walk from the principe Pio station and supermarket is just next door. Hotels staffs were very helpful. We could check in 1 room even though we arrived very early before check in time.

Bad hotel
No fridge in room
No bottle of water
No tissue
One very small soap for 2 adults for 5 nights
Part of the lights are out of service

Room was basic but clean. Love how one of the main metro station is just across the road, makes exploring the city more convenient. There is a supermarket just 1 door down from the hotel too. Many cafes/restaurant along the street of the hotel if you want somewhere convenient to eat, plus a mall attached to the metro station.

Staff was great. Location was great. They even had a coffee machine in the room, which is rare in Spain.

My children and I had an amazing stay. The location was close to major sites, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was very good.

The hotel does not have an internal brick walls, they have partitions between the rooms, we were able to hear everything happening in our floor and next rooms, few times we had to call the front desk to complain about the noise from the next rooms. And on Hotels.com it says the rooms are soundproof which absolutely not.
However the good thing about the hotel is the stuff specially the front desk very friendly and helpful.

I needed a quiet, safe, efficient, and well situated hotel, and this was precisely that. If I return to Madrid, I think I may use it again.

The property is well located close to metro station, restaurants and shops. There are some street people around and the sidewalks could be cleaner.
The hotel rooms are clean and renovated although somewhat smaller than the picture shows.

I loved the decor and we got a balcony with a beautiful view of the sunset! The room was spacious and very clean. Beds very comfortable and smelled great! Right across the street of the mall and convenience store right next door. 30 minute walk to puerta del sol but a lot to see on the way royal palace, market, plaza mayor…

The customer service was very poor, especially the waiter who was serving our breakfast. He was very rude. Breakfast was extremely poor as there was only a choice between toast, very salty spanish omelette and churros. There was no fridge in our room and when we asked a member of staff at the reception, we were told that there were no fridges in the whole hotel .

I like thats in front at principe pio mall .and i dont like that you heard everything in your room
