About this cottage rental
Following a tree-lined road through a quintessentially Cotswold village, past an old, charming church and green fields, you’ll find the gates to Upper Court Cottages. This collection of three stylish cottages, set in expansive grounds and with a backdrop of a magnificent Georgian manor house and lake, is a brilliant place to come together with friends and families.
Pull up opposite our tennis courts and head through your front door within the Georgian arch. You enter to the spacious 30ft living room. Perfect for a big gathering, this welcoming room is awash with light, with two long refectory tables seating up to 12 at each table, a large fireplace with a cosy log burning stove, TV and DVD, comfortable chairs and sofas. Altogether a fabulous entertaining area, the living room leads to the adjoining kitchen. This is a well-equipped kitchen with pine cupboards, Belfast sink, large fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier machine, and steel range cooker for the cooks in the group. Stairs lead to the 5 bedrooms and 3 bath/shower rooms on the Coach House side.
In addition to this, the kitchen connects to the old Stables, now a very pretty ground floor double bedroom with a bathroom with a separate power shower, suitable for people with limited mobility. Up a flight of stairs, which is fairly steep and narrow, the old hayloft is now a comfortable double bedroom and 3ft single bed. It has views of Bredon Hill with steps to a wet room bathroom.
The Stables provides an additional fully equipped separate kitchenette and access to an outdoor sitting area.
In total, The Coach House 16 gives you seven bedrooms, with five bathrooms, and can sleep up to sixteen guests. It can be booked together with The Courtyard Cottage to create a larger two-cottage unit for more numerous groups.
We also have a fabulous array of creative activities including immersive afternoons of experimental art, print-making, and traditional clay sculpting including pottery wheel.
After days full of Cotswold exploring spend magical evenings toasting marshmallows around the fire pit or snuggling around the log fire. The Coachhouse self-catering cottages have a quirky country air with comfortable, safe shared spaces. They also have their own outdoor furniture too; perfect for al fresco eating in the warmer months.
If you’re in the mood to be looked after, delicious prepared meal boxes, cream teas can be pre-ordered too.
