Absolutely fantastic hotel, staff and place.

Extremely beautiful hotel with a great restaurant, loved Ravello and so nice to come back at this beautiful hotel with its stunning surroundings after a busy day of visiting all those touristic villages. We rented our own car which parking was perfectly organized by the hotel including shuttle bus.

I recently stayed at Villa Cimbrone for three nights, and unfortunately, my experience did not live up to the expectations set by the hotel's price point.
While the hotel grounds and the town are undeniably beautiful, several issues significantly impacted our stay. Despite the delicious breakfast, the overall service was poor. The pool service was particularly disappointing—no one offered us water, food, or towels, and we had to get everything ourselves.
The rooms were outdated, and our bathroom flooded, which added to the inconvenience. The baggage cart to get up to the hotel was 40 minutes late, and no one was answering the phone. When we finally arrived, the staff claimed the phones were working fine and even asked us to check our phones.
We also requested a third bed since we were three people, and it was incredibly uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on a wooden plank and resulted in the worst three nights of sleep I've ever had.
Additionally, there was no coffee machine in the room, which is surprising for a hotel of this supposed standard. We had to call room service because there was no water in the room, and instead of promptly rectifying the situation, they asked if we had already checked the minibar.
The luggage service is unreliable and can significantly delay your plans. I've heard of people missing their flights due to this issue, and there's an extra charge if you need to leave before 7 a.m.
At the end of the day, the villa is beautiful, and you can go there f

Best hotel you could ever stay at. Breakfast is amazing, don’t waste your money on the Michelin restaurant it is well below average.

Very much enjoyed our stay here, relaxing and beautiful and food was delicious!

Such an amazing hotel

The view from our room (we had the Greta Garbo) was magnificent, however for €2500 a night, you’d expect the toilet seat to be working and sufficient blinds/curtains to block out light from the window right next to the bed at the very least? Apart from the loud music till midnight due to weddings (I’ve been told there is a wedding every day this week), it is absurd that while using the hotel’s pool facilities, we have constantly been asked by wedding photographers to move so they can get the ‘perfect shot’. Call me old-fashioned but I believe that hotel guests should always be prioritised and not be disturbed in this instance - sadly, hotel staff seem to give precedence to wedding guests etc over hotel guests. I’ve never written a bad review on a luxury hotel but this place has really left a bad taste in my mouth.

The most magical place to stay! The Villa and staff are amazing! The massive grounds/gardens are incredible. You must walk 10-15 minutes from the “meeting spot” in the center of town to get to the property so it’s not recommended for anyone who doesn’t want to walk. However, so worth it! We will be back! Ravello is a gem of a town! Pure magic!

We love the night there with amazing surroundings!! It felt so serene and comfy. The breakfast with sunshine and breeze was unforgettably nice.

The Villa was absolutely beautiful as were the grounds. We enjoyed a spectacular view of the coast, providing a romantic get away.

The overall ambiance of the property can't be beat. We held our daughter's wedding there, and it was a dream come true. Staff are extremely pleasant and accomodating. Facilities top notch.
The only negative is they charge a fee to get baggage to/from the drop off point to the hotel, which is about a 10 minute walk. For the nightly cost of the accomodation, I believe this shoud be included.

Very nice place and fancy grounds, but you have to be ready for a 15 minute walk and stairs to the village

The Villa itself is amazing, the location and grounds are spectacularly scenic. Staff and service exceptional in hotel and pool area. Rooms are a bit old but with nice sea view, however they have recently put up many tents below, roofs and construction that take away the attractiveness.
Restaurant (Il Flauto Di Pan) service very good, but the quality of the food was not good. Ravioli soup was regular but rack of lamb was very very bad, flavorless and chewy.
Dining terrace has no view and breakfast area is very small and unattractive. Breakfast food was poor. When considering cost-benefit, it is expensive.

We had such a lovely stay in the Villa Cimbrone. I visited the hotel for the first time 15 years ago and always wanted to return. I had emailed the hotel a few times before the arrival and received an immediate answer to my questions. Everything was perfect from the friendly welcome from the professional reception staff. Our room was perfect and we enjoyed the double aspect. We had a memorable Gala Dinner with a perfect atmosphere. We appreciated the attention to detail, as during the dinner there were many speeches in Italian, but someone came to translate to us. The five-course dinner was delicious with matching wines. My Prosecco or the wine glass was never empty - Amazing. The next morning was my birthday and at breakfast, they gave me a small cake and the waiters even sang. All this and the magnificent views from the breakfast table made me so happy. Dinner of course in the Michelin star restaurant was also unforgettable. Thank you to all staff. Sabrina we will return so keep sending me the reminders of your special offers.

The gardens are exquisite- worth the stay alone but in addition the staff could not be more accommodating at the property. Our room had both a view of the sea but also a view of a part of the gardens- what a treat! We were able to enjoy a beautiful sunrise and then go to the gardens to enjoy the lovely sunset. Perfect!

Absolutely lovely place. Incredible views and grounds surrounding a beautiful building. We had an enormous sea view room with frescoed ceiling and antiques. One of the loveliest places we have visited anywhere.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel and restaurant. During my stay the crew helped me with my engagement proposal on the Terrace of Infinity.
I would like to mention the great service and help I got from Jasmine from reception/concierge!

Grounds are beautiful and most of our interactions with the staff were professional and accommodating with the exception of the restaurant. Getting a reservation as a paying guest was a chore in the gourmet restaurant but it was also made unbearable for even the poolside restaurant which we were told at check in was not a problem at all. To top it off I ordered a salad and another course which was intended to be my main course and the waiter either didn’t understand enough English to comprehend it or incompetently left it off our order. The end result was I had a completely unremarkable salad for dinner.

Service, amenities and restaurant are 5 star. However, our "Superior Room with Sea View" was a huge disappointment! Nothing like that shown on the hotel website. Our small room had a "view" of the 6' high wall on our balcony, nothing else. If you go out and peek over the wall, there was what should have been a beautiful view. This hotel has many beautiful rooms. This was not one of them!
Do not accept a room on the third floor !!!

This hotel is just wonderful. The setting is fantastic and the staff are extremely friendly. I highly recommend it.

Amazing one of a kind property. You get to stay in a 11th century Italian villa attached to magnificent gardens floating over the Amalfi coast!!! The stuff was very effective and elegantly attentive to all our needs. I can’t remember of a better experience! Thank you!

The service at this hotel was outstanding. Particularly, Sirena was so helpful in getting us to the hotel (cars don’t drive on the streets to the hotel). The gardens were also magnificent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Setting is beautiful. Grounds are stunning. Hotel rooms weren’t amazing. Had insects in the rooms a lot (ants, crawly type bugs etc). Staff was very nice however, but didn’t feel like an experience that matched the price of the rooms.

Amazing hotel and location. We spend two nights at Villa Cimbrone and couldn't be happier. The staff was amazing. Franco greeted us and was very helpful throughout our stay. The staff was great and provided amazing service. The room was very clean and pretty, a little old, but expected of a villa built in the 11th century. We got a 'garden view' room, which meant it looked over the garden, but also the entire coastline south Ravello. The grounds were amazing and you could spend days just wandering the grounds and hanging by the pool. The included breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had and a great start to the day. It's definitely a slight hike from the center of town, but it's a hike through gorgeous Ravello so very enjoyable and welcomed. Highly suggest staying here for your stay and just taking in the view(which is basically at every turn in Ravello and especially on the Cimbrone property).

My husband and I eloped at Villa Cimbrone. We took a risk. We had never been to the hotel or known anyone who had been there. We had never even been to the Amalfi Coast. We saw the photos online and decided to reach out to them to see if they could arrange a wedding ceremony for us. It was the best decision we could have made. Our entire stay and wedding were perfect.
First, the entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay at the villa. The staff assisted us with laundry and steaming services, organized porters for our bags, helped us with directions to Positano, and more. Caterina and Donatella helped us with the details of the wedding day. We met Caterina in person and she was organized, friendly, kind and unbelievably helpful. We are so lucky to have had her assistance.
Second, the gardens are unbelievable. The photos do not do justice to the views and how well kept the gardens are. You could stare out the hotel windows forever the view is that perfect.
Third, the hotel itself is adorable. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Big bathroom, including shower (which is hard to find in Europe). The suite gave us plenty of room. A snack was waiting for us on arrival. The room had giant windows that opened up to a view of the coast. It was a great stay.
Lastly, the restaurant was perfect. Awesome views. 10/10 on food. Breakfast, dinner and service were great.
We highly recommend Villa Cimbrone! We are looking forward to returning as soon as we can!

Wow! Where do i start! It was the best experience ever! The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs were met. Deborah and Bianca were amazing! And made sure we had a wonderful day trip to capri! The property was magical and the food an experience! I would recommend the room facing the sea as there is nothing like waking up to a sunrise on amalfi! Everything was perfect! Thank you for a magical experience!
