If like me you vacation at a hotel for a nice room to sleep in but not to spend your whole time there and thus requiring a lot of amenities and luxury, then this place is quite nice. The kitchen and hotel staff are excellent, friendly and anxious to please. Food fantastic for a small hotel. Peaceful locale and walk to points of interest. The only improvement would be hot water instead of luke warm (but the Merida heat makes it tolerable) and better toilet flushing (both of which are not uncommon). Great value for the money. I spent 5 nights. Give them a try!

Very nice people!

The staff (Michelle and Masimo) were exceptional in answering questions, booking tours, and arranging for a pleasant stay!

Very quiet location with a 10 minute walk to restaurants and bars. Alternatively UBER is always within 5 minutes. We parked our car directly outside in a reserved space. Market, supermarkets and ATM just around the corner. Really enjoyed our 4 nights there

Property was lovely but the staff was the best part, every one we met working behind the desk or in the restaurant was so nice and helpful!

Great service and the room was absolutely as advertised. Wish we had more time to spend there. Staff was great and suffered through our poor Spanish. 😳
Marisol was very helpful!!

This property is a piece of paradise in the middle of Merida. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The towels were plush, plenty of fresh drinking water. Breakfast was EXCELLENT. The only negative comment I have is about the air conditioning in the room. When we checked in, the room was on fire. And the bathroom was like a sauna. It was 37 degrees Celsius outside and they had left the window open causing the room to heat up even more.
We turned on the air conditioning but it took a long time to cool down the room. The bathroom does NOT have an air vent so it stays warm all day and all night. It has a ceiling fan but it is NOT enough.
When we would leave during the day, the hotel would turn off our air. For the price we paid, I expected to have a cool room waiting for me, not a sauna. This was very frustrating.

The staff was amazing, so helpful, and readily available. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The breakfast and regular menu were delicious. Very easy, relaxing place to stay.

I do appreciate all the care and attention I received along with my wife from the owner of the hotel and his staff during my stay. It’s a family atmosphere coupled with all modern amenities and very caring well trained staff. The location is very good where one can walk to Santiago park or the Plaza.

We really enjoyed our stay, everyone was very helpful and attentive. The owners take great pride on taking care of the property and the guests. The location was also great for exploring the historical district, drive to Mayan ruins, or visit cenotes. We really enjoyed our stay, and it was great supporting local business owners.

all of the little details are so well thought out and addressed at this wonderful boutique hotel. The staff are all amazingly helpful and courteous, and the food is absolutely wonderful. I can see why it is rated by guests in the top 3 in Merida.

This property was amazing. Cleaned ample rooms, big shower, 2 sink vanity, comfortable bed, very quiet, fresh breakfast with delicious coffee made to order. In afternoon they offer u a complementary alcoholic beverage and delicious snacks Yucatecan style. Besides, all these great amenities, the staff and owners are there to help u with anything U need. From making dinner reservations, calling u a cab, planning a cooking class, sightseeing tours, etc. they truly make U feel at home. Cannot wait to come back.

This boutique hotel is very nice and the best part is that the staff are very welcoming and hospitable. They have a chef who makes delicious food and very well presentation, you feel like you are in a 5 star restaurant. Rooms are beautiful and very clean I will definitely be back soon.

Excellent people, beautiful place, great food, couldn’t be happier.

A beautiful remodeled hotel on a quiet street. The facilities were excellent and well appointed. The service and concern for our comfort and safety regarding COVID-19 could not be any better. Our meals were delicious and had great presentation. Our walk to the central area was easy and pleasant, even late at night. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Excellent staff and owners and exceptional cleanliness standards especially during covid. Felt safe the whole time. Excellent food and staff and super clean accomodations. Felt more like staying at a good friends house, with service. Would highly recommend if you need a sanctuary away from home.

This property is super! The service is way beyond stupendous, we will definitely be back!

The owners and staff were awesome. Informative, helpful and very accommodating.
The room was very comfortable with a small private patio attached.
The breakfast we were served was top notch. Dinner menu was limited but food was excellently prepared.
Very small inn, such a nice change from personality lacking large hotels.
Highly recommend.

We were sad to leave this beautiful, well-run hotel. From the minute we walked in the door, the staff served us generously, efficiently and graciously. Our luggage was in our room before we finished our welcome drinks. We opted to eat both a late lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant because the food was outstanding and it was served next to the pool and the lush surrounding garden. The room was immaculate and well furnished, including a small refrigerator, plenty of drinking water and complimentary toiletries. Because we had to leave for the airport before the breakfast hour, the staff offered to pack sandwiches we could take with us. The owner had a taxi waiting for the airport run and got up early to help us with luggage and checkout. The location is within a short walk of the central square, cathedral and several smaller parks featuring terrific restaurants. We definitely would stay at the Merida Santiago on a future trip to the city.

We had the great pleasure of staying at this Boutique Hotel for 2 nights. I wish we had stayed longer! The room was beautiful with an ensuite bathroom that included a soaker tub and a large walk-in shower. The beds were very comfortable. The location was a short walk to parks and shopping. We were welcomed at a reception with a drink and snacks; a nice touch. The staff was very welcoming. A nice vibe- everyone loves working there and it shows.

Fantastic boutique hotel. Very friendly and helpful host.
I suggest you partake in the mescal tasting with Rodrigo (Roe). He is very knowledgeable and engaging.
Also the cooking class offered daily is fun and instructive. The chief David knows his stuff.
The visit to the market to get our groceries was great. Lots of food at the end of it for lunch so bring your appetite.

Great stay! Wonderful staff and gourmet breakfast included. Location is quite convenient for walking to Plaza Grande.

We stayed at the Merida Santiago Hotel Boutique for 2 nights and it was fabulous. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The chef Jacob is a star and the place was very clean. I’ve stayed in thousands of hotels (really) and this one is definitely in the top 10%. It’s a small hotel with excellent service and great food.

Incredible experience from the moment we walked in. Hostess greeted us and offered to take our bags and poured us a glass of wine. She walked us through the city map and what sites/restaurants not to miss. When my husband and I took a break at the pool the staff asked us if we'd like anything to drink or eat. Comfortable bed and beautiful large bathroom. One thing to note is that it's a bit of a walk (maybe 20 minutes or so) to Plaza Grande, and a half hour walk to Paseo de Montejo. This did not bother us - the area is totally safe. Upon departure, the hotel knew we had an early flight, so they made us sandwiches to take on the plane. The owner also woke up early to say goodbye. Overall, super impressed and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. We'll be back!

This is a proved why we love to stay In Boutique hotels, because the service is so personal and kind, you never can beat that o a chain hotel. Defenetly this a hotel will came back every time if we are in Merida.

Great experience. If I am ever back in Merida this will be where I stay.
2.5
Wonderful experience. Owners and staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Easy walking distance to old city, but far enough away to escape city noise and have free parking. Beautiful central courtyard with pool.
2.5
Hotel was very nice and clean, well painted and great atmosphere. Fantastic breakfast is included and cooked in the cleanest kitchen I've seen in Mexico. Owner Yan was extremely helpful and interesting to talk to. He is helpful in explaining why things are the way they are in Merida and the Yucatan. The only thing that I didn't like was paying $35mex for a coffee before complimentary coffee started at 7:30am. One km from plaza grande is a little bit of a walk but the cabs are very cheap. Excellent hotel, would recommend and would definitely return.

Lovely B and B in the heart of Merida. The staff was very helpful in recommending things to do and places to eat. They also made our taxi reservations. Wonderful place.
1.0
The hotel is overrated and overpriced. There are no individual reading lights, no closet space to speak of, and a reception by someone in shorts, t-shirt, and flip- flops. No cancellations possible - all for just under $200.
2.5
We loved our stay. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are beautiful, the food fantastic and they have a lovely pool and gardens. It's a hidden gem!
2.5
Enjoyed a week long stay at this small but cosy boutique hotel. The place is very confortable, very clean and makes you feel so welcomed and well taken care of. This is mainly thanks to the owners and the staff who will give the best personal attention to every need and whim, with a warm smile.
They helped us plan our stay with day trips around Merida, tips on daily events in the town, where to shop and where to dine. The breakfasts offered are delicious and varied, with fresh tropical fruit and juices and a variety of gourmet pastries and breads. All this at the poolside, with a personal touch and smile.
They have an inhouse team of shefs who offer very good staple meals with Mayan flavour, which they have willingly agreed to adjust to some of our special diatery needs.
The social hour with complementary drinks and bites was a nice oportunity to meet other guests and have stories and views exchanged with Jan the owner. On Christmas Eve we had a surprise bouquet of flowers adorning our room and a bottle of complementary red wine, from the owners.
We had a great time with them, enjoyed every moment and gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Merida.
The only downside for us was the distance from the main square, which is only a few block away, but still... Anyway, it was easily solved with the rather cheap taxi service.
2.5
Beautiful place run by a lovely couple. Always friendly, warm and attentive. Service is impeccable! And the food is so delicious! The photos on the website shows exactly how the property looks like. Everything is just perfect!
