The bathroom sink hadn’t been cleaned Gross.
The walls are so thin you can hear everyone talking, and the room above us all you could hear is creaking from walking around. The whole stay was awful.
Will never stay there again, this was off season😭

Very poor cleaning. The bathroom floor had piles of hair & debris. The room carpet had a lot of debris on it when we arrived.

Very rustic no tv no WiFi but running hot water and flushing toilets !! Played a lot of cards enjoyed the ambiance and the history of the lodge !

I had to ask for a new room because the keys that were given to me we’re not keys that would quickly get me into the space. Even the employee that came to help us said the keys were not adequate. They did quickly put us in a new room. There were no further key issues. Overall, the room was adequate, but very tight for a family of four. I really question if the beds were queen size beds… Felt more like fulls to me. We needed to ask for the toiletries to be filled as there were only quarter fills in each of the bottles. When we needed a plunger, they offered one quickly. The service was great in the rooms and they responded quickly, but for the price it was outlandish! I realize the hotel is within the park, but by literal end of season, the prices should not have been over $400 a night!

Well first of all the room was dirty and the dining area was out of service because they were renovating it.

I’m sure this hotel had a glorious past and used to be a great spot in Yellowstone.
Unfortunately, a renovation is about 10 years overdue. To add, the walls are paper-thin, it’s not clean (old age of property is no reason for 5+ cobwebs in the room and dead bugs all around), appliances were missing and there was no wifi.
For 400 dollars per night, I expected more.
Staff were very nice though.
Location wise it’s great of course, right next to the lake in the park - in my opinion this does not outweigh the negatives.

Location is good but generally its the only one good thing about this hotel. There is no WiFi, no TV and floor was dirty. Beds were Ok and clean at least. Unfortunately you pay only for location inside the park. If hotel would be located outside it would have and most 1 star.

Great to stay in the park. Cabons afre basic with shwer and electric. No Tv.

We stayed for 3 nights in a cabin. Basically two beds and a bathroom. Not even a box fridge or cheap microwave. For the price it should have been much better. Except for the beds there was nothing else. Disappointing. The associated hotel was closed in early September so there was no place to eat except a hotel down the road which had an abysmal dining room with abysmal food. Just a very basic place to stay with a very high price due to no competition .

You must request room service. The dining room was closed. No bell hop service in the building. I understand not having WiFi in the rooms. We were told to go to a lodge where there was WiFi. The WiFi wasn't adequate to service all the guests that were trying to use it. I could go on. Very disappointed.

The cabin was nice and spacious and warm, nicely cleaned. Obviously, the Yellowstone hotel has wifi, but they did not allow their guests to access which was pretty poor, in my opinion. The restaurant was also closed and the Lake Lodge was not a great option. A cafeteria style restaurant is not good at high end restaurant prices. I understand it is end of season, but still.

I thought we would be in the hotel, not in a cabin that looks like an army barracks cabin for GIs. The area around the cabin is barren and dry. We thought we were getting a view of the lake in a hotel room. Alas, not. The kitchen was closed for the season, so off down the road for meals to Wiley's canteen. I knew about that ahead of time. Still...

Lacking signage for where to check-in for yellow cabins. Hotel lobby was beautiful. Lake Lodge food not appealing and no better options due to construction at the hotel. Yellow cabins are smaller than expected to have 2 beds.

Cabins were below standards

The property is convenient to Yellowstone attractions. We saw elk from the cabin. However the cabins are rustic block house affairs with minimal appliances. The is no Wi-Fi, no telephone, cell phones don't work in Yellowstone, no refrigerator or deck/porch. The room was never cleaned while we were there. We were there in early September and many of the hotel services and food availability were shut down already for the winter. So prepare to live basic if you go there after prime time (summer).

Main dining room was closed. When checking in I wish the front desk would have mentioned the tours.

Customer service was not good. Girl at phone desk was a smart mouth. We had a hard time finding the hotel. No sign on main road, the only sign we say was "Lake Area"! Does that mean hotel or the view or fishing or boating or what. There was no sign that actually said "Hotel" until you got off the road at the sign that said "Lake Are". Even the girl at phone didn't tell us!

No sigo, the hotel was closed , it was the side hotel

The front desk lady was mean and property not as described at all-stinky cabin ,dirty floor, hair in shower,no WiFi ets.
Price was insane for this kind of housing.

The accommodations and service were horrendous. Everything was closed down due to renovation but no accommodations were made for guests. Food was awful eith unacceptable options even your deli had nothing for those who cannot eat packaged food. St least gave fresh fruit available. You charged a hefty room price for a terrible experience. You should be embarrassed.

This would seem to be a great location right on the lake inside the park, but it is fake, the only rooms in service are in a dormitory type building out back with no view or real redeeming value. I cannot recommend this facility.

This is a stark looking facility. Very standard accommodations for a very expensive price. Not a value would not recommend!

The yellow cabins are absolutely adorable. Shower was very small. We saw elk right from our cabin. That was awesome. The only really bad thing about staying in the yellow cabins is that all the highlights of the park are an hour away.

It was horrible experience at Lake Yellowstone Hotel. We booked a room at the hotel . On reaching, we were told that we can only get a cabin. It was dirty , smelly and had pests ( was told that it’s a National Park and so everyone coexist). I am demanding refund of my hotel charges.

Beautiful, quiet location without much traffic in Yellowstone. Unbeatable views of lake from property. Wildlife (elk, deer) often visible from cabins.

When checking in we were told everything was shut down. No restaurant or bar. Then Room 169 is under the staircase- very noisy and had blood on the wall & door jam in the bathroom. It was one of the worst hotel stays ever!

Anywhere in Yellowstone National Park is beautiful. We stayed in a cabin which was adequate. Dining room food was above average. Food options at the Lodge were ok. Would stay there again.

We had to make reservations for dinner and breakfast, we were not that happy with it, no internet, but is part of the adventure and that was ok. The service was great, but they had lots of flights while we were eating, there are ways to control those littler insects, other than that great experience. Thank you all!

It can be noisy, but if everyone is respectful it’s okay ! It’s expensive but if you want to visit Yellowstone it’s practical.

Very overpriced for what it was . It should have been much more to it than this. Comparable to ones down road.

Fantastic stay

In the middle of the park, is good to arrive at most of the spectacular sights. We appreciated the systemation inside the cabin, like a wood house in the forest. We just would have had a little more room service, indeed the room have been cleaned just one day on the five we stayed.
The main structure of the hotel is straordinary, with a unique lake view. We also really enjoied the piano music at the evening. The food in the restaurant have to be improved in variety and quantity, but anyway it was of good quality. A great place to stay, with some expedients it would be a dream.

I paid $400 for very small cabin. I am particularly unhappy that properly did not disclose that they did not have wifi and had only very limited dining options. The lobby atmosphere is very depressing and the staff is not very interesting in providing good service. My advise is to pick something else.
