About this house rental
Dog friendly - this is on request and subject to owner approval.
We have never seen anything like this. A house where the crystal-clear water is so close it feels like you could dive right out of the living room – and you actually can walk in from the backyard.
Built into the hillside near the tip of the Barrenjoey Peninsula, the property is set out over three levels, with the entry at the top with ramp parking for two cars. There’s also an inclinator, which makes access easy for the whole family. The top level plays host to a casual living space and two bedrooms (king and twin), there is a 3rd room on this level that can be set up as either a Study or Bedroom as required. With a large a balcony overlooking Pittwater towards to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
The level below is almost entirely given over to the sumptuous master bedroom, with a private balcony and incredible en-suite fitted out with his and hers vanities, and parquetry tiling.
But the real attraction is below: the main living and dining area with its epic entertaining deck. This is a room to remember, with its full-length windows opening out onto the water, a double-height ceiling and an attached covered balcony descending to the green lawn below. The deep green cabinetry of the stylish modern kitchen complements the view, and provides a central hub for guests, but there’s also a BBQ for less fussy fare.
This is where you’ll want to spend your time: enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine in a deck chair or hammock, watching the white sails of yachts slip past. More active guests can climb down the stairs for a dip. On the way you’ll probably notice the firepit: it’s the perfect place to enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the inlet.
What the owner loves:
This home is a labour of love. From the entranceway to the back lawn, everything has been thought of and meticulously planned. The bathrooms are straight out of an interior design magazine, the bedrooms are sunny and spacious, the kitchen is Instagram-worthy and the view… well, maybe save some space on Instagram.
What we love:
We just can’t go past the waterfront position. Its direct access to Pittwater makes it ideal for boat owners, but you don’t have to own a yacht to appreciate a place like this. It speaks for itself. Private, plush… perfect.
What the relaxed traveller loves:
This is the sort of home you can come to for a week and never step outside the front door. The multi-level design with three separate balconies, a lawn and two living areas means you won’t get on top of other guests. You can always find your own space, whether it’s in the water, in a hammock or with your feet up on the lounge.
