We had a wonderful stay at the Sunset Cottage. The home was quaint, romantic, and had a great view. The restaurant was great (we ate breakfast there). Close walk to town. Everything was perfect!

This was an absolute beautiful place to stay in the wine country. It’s pretty much in the town of Franchoek, 3min drive to restaurants and shops. It was spotless clean at our arrival. Being a self-catering cottage it did not include breakfast, but it is very well equipped for cooking. We were welcomed with fresh farm milk, coffee/ teas, cookies and even a bottle of their own wine! Can’t say enough about the amazing staff! My daughter forgot shoes and clothes behind and they went out of their way to ship it to us in Cape Town! So happy we found this idilic place! They also offer in room massages a la carte which were incredible!! Will definitely be back!!

A very peaceful stay in a tranquil environment. Fully equipped for self-catering for a day or two. Very neat and clean. Please be aware that there is no TV in the unit which suited us. Double check with the restaurant if you have made a reservation for breakfast or lunch. All in all a good choice for a break in Franschhoek.

We had an amazing staying just to be amongst nature and fresh air was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries as a result of the Lockdown! What a gem Franschoek is for a moment we thought we were in Tuscany so grateful to call the Western Cape Home, La Cotte was out of this world, what an experience that we will treasure forever, we were upgraded to the Private Villa and everything about La Cotte, service, experience, location , cleanliness the list goes on gets a fat 10 out of 10 from me, would definitely highly recommend La Cotte without a doubt!

A beautiful cottage in a stunning setting overlooking the Franschoek valley. We stayed in the sunset cottage which is a ‘rustic chic’ one bedroom thatched cottage with sitting room (and open wood fire), bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The verandah has one of the most gorgeous views I have seen, and there is a private plunge pool and lawn with sun loungers. The cottage is surrounded by lush lavender bushes, oak trees and vineyards. Furnishings are comfortable rather than luxury but very tasteful. There’s a (very good) shower but no bath. There is no breakfast on site, but the kitchen is fully equipped and coffee/tea/milk/sugar/salt/pepper were provided. I would advise aiming to arrive before sunset, and picking up breakfast and other provisions from the shops in Franschoek. The cottages are only a 15 minute walk from Franschoek’s wonderful restaurants, albeit uphill via an unlit, unsealed farm road. The cottage might be uncomfortable at extremes of temperature, with only a heater, a wood fire and an electric fan available. Overall, a lovely, romantic place to stay with a real rural feel for a few days in Franschoek.

Lovely, quiet location in the middle of a farm & vines, but only a short walk down the dirt track to the centre of Franchhoek. Panoramic views of the valley and surrounding mountains. We loved it here.

Fantastic small cottages right in the wine yards. Loved our stay here. Good to think about is that they only have a fan (no ac) which it also dat clearly in the information. But during summer month it fan be very hot. Se Will för sure stay here again!

We stayed in the Sunset Cottage at LaCottr farm. What a little gem of a place. Location perfect, views divine and the cottage complete with all the creature comforts one needs. Franshhoek the town was a pleasant find - food, wine, coffee all on offer with so much choice available.
